Margot was great. She took Ranger on short notice and invited him to come back again when we are in the area. Ranger was happy and he slept all the way home.

About: Hi, my name is Sabrina! Caring for animals has always been a passion of mine. My love for animals comes from my on-going volunteer work at local animal rescues. I have owned and cared for every animal under the umbrella - you name it, I’ve handled it. I also have experience from working as a Kennel Technician for two years at my local animal hospital. I worked with many different breeds as well as am capable of administrating medications. I have lived on the island for four years now and know all the best spots for your dog! I work from home and would be with your pet 24/7. I enjoy being able to put dog owners at ease while they're away from home on vacation, enjoying the beach, working long hours, or simply enjoying an evening out. While in my care, your furry family member(s) will receive a great amount of attention, exercise, and personal loving. I look forward to helping you out and meeting your fur baby! I work from home so am around all day, everyday, 24/7 to take care of any needs your pet may need as well as multiple bathroom breaks!! I have a small fenced yard and balcony area that the dogs can use. I also take them out multiple times through out the day. To ensure dogs don't get too overtired when playing with one another I separate them from time to time for some rest.

A star sitter for sure! Kristie took great care of my pup over a long weekend! She was a natural at bonding with my super shy puppy and was even willing and able to help train her. She kept good communications up for every visit so I had peace of mind that my dog was in good hands and administered her meds on the day she needed it. She brought over some good lookin cookie treats and gave my pup a new favorite toy! Kristie also took care of my chickens and I when I came home, my place was left in way better shape than I left it! She went above and beyond for sure and she was also super cool and fun to chat with! I will definitely call Kristie next time I need help with my pup!

About: Any breed any size is welcomed! Whether you’re looking for a safe place for your hairy child to stay while you’re out of town or you’re just looking to have a vacation from your fur baby, you’re always welcomed to board with me. Hello! My name is Frank Barcenas. I am 28 and live in an apartment located in Bayview, TX. I have 2 pets of my own 2 dogs that mean the world to me and are by my side every second of the day. Taking care of dogs is a passion more than anything. Interacting with different breeds and seeing their different personalities is very interesting to me. I have been experienced with caring for animals for 5+ years. I have taken care of animals ranging from reptiles all the way to donkeys and pigs. I have volunteered at multiple animal shelters in the valley and have worked at multiple kennels aswell. I enjoy every second of caring for the animals making sure they’re in a safe and lovable environment as if they were at home. I am experienced in clipping nails, bathings, giving medication, giving shots, and general training. Boarding at my apartment, you can expect that your pups will be cared for and given lots of love and attention. One of the biggest problems dogs have are experiencing extreme anxiety when being separated from their normal routine. Having plenty of toys and multiple distractions at my apartment will ensure that your pet baby has a smooth and wonderful experience when boarding. When boarding with me you can expect multiple photos and videos of your pets daily while boarding. Work a 9-5 job. Pups would be inside during the hot hours of the day with my wife and will have small time outside during peak heat hours. In the afternoon when the heat is not bad they will be able to be outside 3+ hours I have a fenced yard. 24/7 supervision of the pups. Away from any high traffic roads. I have 2 pups who do well with other dogs

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my lifelong experience and genuine love for animals. I’ve had multiple dogs and cats my whole life, so caring for pets has always been a natural part of who I am. I understand that every pet has a unique personality, and I’m patient, attentive, and responsive to their individual needs. I’m comfortable caring for puppies who need extra attention, consistency, and basic training reinforcement, as well as senior pets who may require a slower pace, medication reminders, or gentle care. I’m very observant and make sure pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their owners are away. Now that I’m away at college, I truly miss having animals around, so pet sitting is something that brings me joy in the meantime. I have a big heart for animals, and I treat every pet like they’re my own. 🐾💛 Pet care fits easily into my daily and weekly routine because I intentionally plan my schedule around the pets I’m caring for. As a college student, I have structured class times, which allows me to create consistent morning, afternoon, and evening check-ins for walks, feeding, playtime, and any special care needs. I’m used to building my day around animals since I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life. Whether it’s early morning walks, mid-day potty breaks, or evening cuddle time, I make sure pets receive attention, exercise, and companionship throughout the day. On weekends, I typically have even more flexibility, which allows for longer walks or extra playtime. Caring for pets isn’t something I squeeze in — it’s something I prioritize because I truly enjoy it. 🐾💛 When caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, my top priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved in their environment. I carefully follow the owner’s instructions regarding feeding schedules, portion sizes, medications, exercise routines, and any specific behavioral needs. In a client’s home, I respect their space and keep everything clean and organized. I make sure pets stay on their normal routine to reduce stress while their owner is away. This includes walks, playtime, enrichment activities, and plenty of attention and affection. I also provide updates and photos so owners feel reassured. If caring for pets in my home, I create a calm, pet-friendly environment with close supervision. I ensure they have a safe space to rest, regular potty breaks, structured playtime, and lots of companionship. Because I’ve had multiple dogs and cats my whole life, I’m very attentive to body language and behavior changes, especially for puppies or senior pets who may need extra care. I treat every pet like they’re my own and always aim to provide consistent, loving, and responsible care. 🐾💛

About: Whether you would like your pup taken on a walk, your guinea pig visited with, or your cat needs a trip to the vet, I’m your gal. Living on a farm since my childhood and now owning one myself has given me more than ample experience with a wide variety of animals to include, horses, donkeys, goats, sheep, cattle, pigs, alpacas, llamas, cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, turkeys, chickens, guinea hens, peacocks, and even exotics like kangaroos and camels. My services include, but are not limited to: Dog walks, cat visits, feeding, administration of medication, holding horses for the farrier, paddock and stall cleaning, transportation to and from the vet or groomer, plant watering, mail pick-up. Any services not listed that you need customized to the care of your pet can be arranged. I have great flexibility to meet your scheduling needs based on my bookings. For holidays I recommend reserving services in advance. I do schedule 24/7 at any hour if I have not been previously scheduled. I treat every animal as if it is my own pet taking extra precautions to ensure their safety and eliminate any cause for a dangerous situation to arise.

I was happy with our decision in choosing Pauline to take care of our 3 cats. She sent us updates and pictures of them and always checked in to see if we needed anything before she left. It’s hard having to leave your pets alone for a while but having her check in on them made me feel better about it all. I’ll definitely reach out to her again for next time :)

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
