“Genevieve has been very reliable for our pet care needs. We recently had a family emergency and had to leave town on short notice and Genevieve adjusted her personal schedule to be available to care for our pets and home while we were away. If it wasn’t for her, we wouldn’t have been able to leave town. Our dogs love her and they get so much attention and physical activity in her care. We could not recommend her enough, not only is she a great sitter she is so kind and genuinely wants to help people.”

“Alfons was an amazing sitter for my fur baby! They were very attentive towards my dog and kept in great communication with me while I was on my trip. This was my first time leaving my dog for a good period of time and I felt very relieved and secure in knowing Alfons was caring for him. 10/10 will book wit them again when needed.”

“Bryan was amazing, both with Suki and with us! We have never had a house sitter/dog sitter in our home, so it was understandably a little nerve wracking to let a stranger over. But Bryan was a class act, gave us so many funny updates, and left the house cleaner than we left it. Suki was so happy to see us, and clearly very at ease and well taken care of. We will absolutely have Bryan over again to take care of Suki and our home!”

“Anna house housesat for my family and couldn’t have provided better care. I’ve worked in Animal Welfare for over 20yrs and have a high standard for care of my senior pets. Anna was extremely attentive providing amazing care, left the house clean and sent daily updates. She trustworthy, kind hearted and the utmost professional.”

“Halle was AMAZING! We would absolutely have her back!! We came home to two super happy dogs and a very clean home!! I can't say enough wonderful things about her!!”

“By far the sweetest and best pet sitter for my Frenchie and cat. Hallie went above and beyond to care for them and even left a treat for me upon my return home. I will definitely be asking her back in the future for watching over my fur-babies!”

“Our house and dog were well cared for during Holly's overnight stay. She was great at communicating with fast responses and picture updates of how our dog was doing. Will definitely use Holly again for watching our dog!”

“Morgan stayed with our doggo while we were out of town for a holiday. Our pup was well loved and she shared daily photos of their fun together. She also took care of his daily medications. If your dog loves belly scratches and plenty of love, then Morgan is a good fit for you!”

About: I've been around dogs for most of my life. I've had from a little tiny Mini Poodle to large dogs a Presa Canario German-Sheppard mix. I'm well verse with commands and training with treats. I at the moment can't have a dog where I live and I miss being around them, so I figured this will be a good way to visit with dogs without taking one home...hence "Fur Auntie!" I love all kinds of dogs, I do best with medium to large dogs because that's been the most recent years of experience. I'm not afraid of any breed, I had Sandi (Presa) and Lolah (Pitbull) my two large dogs. I've frequently dog sat for my friends several times in the last 10 years. At the time I had my dogs and boarded them at my house. I'm single and don't have kids so I'll have time for your fur baby!! I'll spend time with them if you don't have the time so they don't get lonely and keep them out of trouble....I'm very patient and I will take them time to make sure your fur baby has fun while we walk or visit. I'd love to meet you and your special fur family. This helps me too because I love dogs, I have 3 days off a week, this will keep me busy and help you out too, we both win! Please message me I'd love to walk and visit with you puppy.
“Amanda was so great with our dogs. They took to her immediately. She was super communicative + sending pictures. We came home to happy dogs and couldn’t even tell she had stayed overnight. We would recommend her and would definitely use her again.”

“Lindsay was an amazing sitter for Icebox! She was reliable, great at communicating, and went above and beyond with play dates and taking care of our apartment. Enthusiastically recommend, and will gladly book her again!”
“Toni was great! She was very flexible with times, and my dog was very calm and relaxed when I returned home. She kept me updated on how things were going and is very nice!”

About: I have taken care of animals since I was a pre-teen, but fell in love with animal care fully in my junior year of high school, after I began volunteering at an animal shelter. Since then, I have changed positions and worked as a post-surgery volunteer with PAWS, transporting and handling anesthetized animals after they underwent surgeries. This summer I am also interning at PAWS again, this time as a Foster Care Intern, where I manage the entire foster care system behind the scenes. Additionally, I have worked with large animals such as horses while volunteering, dairy cattle management in college, and pigs as my job on the side. I will continue to grow my portfolio, as I am a Pre-Vet Animal Science major at Washington State University with the goal of becoming a veterinarian one day. I am currently on summer break in my hometown (Everett) and have pretty open availability. I intern at paws from 8am-12pm on Sundays & Mondays, and 12-5pm on Thursdays, but other than that, I am free for walks, house sitting, or drop ins. Pet safety is one of the most important factors in my work. Hygiene will be top notch to ensure the health of animals. I will wear gloves while cleaning so no chemicals or bacteria could possibly reach them. I have no pets of my own currently as an apartment-living college student, so I fill my love for them with work and volunteering with animals. Your pet will be taken care of well!
“Paris was fantastic. So sweet when she met our Gracie…who loved her. She was attentive and responsive when we messaged and took loving care of our baby. It eases the mind to know that your fur babies are being taken care of and loved. We will definitely have Paris watch Gracie next time we need a dog sitter. Also, she watched Gracie in our home and left it tidy and neat🩷”

“Yolimar did an excellent job of taking care of my Hank. She went beyond my expectations and I won't hesitate to call her when I need her. Thank you Yolimar and thank you Rover!”

“Tonya actually gets a 10! She is the nicest gal and my dogs absolutely loved her the moment she walked in my door for the meet and greet! I usually get very anxious when I have to leave my kids but she made it so easy for my to know they were going to have a vacation of their own! She sent me updates and pictures while I was gone, and honestly I don’t think they missed us a minute! 🤣🤷🏼♀️🤣 Tonya is my forever Angel and I will always have her in our lives! We love you To ya!!!!!! 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾❤️”

About: I have worked with over 100 dogs during the course of my career so far. Most of my dog handling experience comes from working at a doggy daycare after I graduated high school. This experience gave me a lot of skills including handling multiple dogs at once, keeping track of meals and medication, and recognizing dog behavior in a variety of different breeds. This job gave me so many opportunities to bond with dogs of all sizes as if they were my own, give them exercise, and time to play with other dogs. Although, I learned to become good at handling a large group of dogs at once I prefer to work with smaller groups. It gives me more time to bond one on one with animals and allows me to better understand their individual needs (including lots of scratches and belly rubs). Working at a dog daycare has not been my only dog related experience. I have house and dog sat for multiple families a few summers in a row now. I enjoy providing an extra support system to dogs when their loved ones leave and giving them the love and attention they deserve. On top of these other experiences I have also grown up with dogs my entire life and in my late teens my Dad started fostering dogs for an agency. I really enjoyed taking care of these dogs and helping provide them with a good safe home until they were adopted. Every dog that has been a part of my life has provided so much joy and as I can't currently have a pet of my own I would love to be extended family to your dog. I'm currently a student at Western Washington University home for the summer. I don't have any other job as of now and will be able to provide full attention, walks, on-time feedings, etc. for your precious pet. I will be taking a few online credit hours for college over the summer, this does not take much time and I will be home to make sure all of your pets needs have been met. Whenever I house sit I usually fall into a routine that revolves around what the pet is used to, like their walk and feeding schedule. Although, I may have short outings and activities throughout the summer on the day I am booked for, my calendar should be up to date with the days that I am not available. I am very responsible when it comes to taking care of animals and organized. Safety is very important to me and I have had experiences working at the doggy daycare stopping dogs from eating unsafe things or safely separating dogs that were showing aggression towards each other. Although I don't expect any of these things to happen to your pet while they are in my care, it is better to be safe than sorry. I am also good with being on time to everything and this translates to making sure that pets are given their food on time (if they have a specific schedule). Your pet will be very safe and very loved during my time staying with them.
“Leeann is completely lovely. She clearly had no problem understanding the layout of our pets care routine. I had complete confidence everything was being handled correctly while gone on our trip. She texted a few common sense questions about the location of certain items within the home, and of course some pictures and updates on our sweeties. Would book again!”

Port Gardner pet parents share their Rover experiences
Mikayla was a fantastic sitter for our German shepherd husky mix! She provided daily updates, asked good questions at our meet and greet and has a very warm demeanor. We trusted her with our beloved boy and our home while we were out of town for a week. Our house was super clean when we returned home. I’d highly recommend Mikayla. Thank you!
Katy took great care of our home and our little dog with a big personality. She stayed in our home for 12 days while we were abroad, and even came a day early when we had a last minute flight change. She sent daily photos of their time together and several days she sent a whole report of their activities. We came home to a clean house, happy dog, watered plants, and even an adorable gift she crocheted for us! Major Tom loves Katy and we are grateful to have found her ❤️

This was the longest trip we have taken since adopting our second dog. We felt very confident in taking the time because Genevieve has been so great with the hounds previously. This time was no different! Great communication and the house and hounds were well cared for. It is obvious that Genevieve cares appreciates the animals she cares for in a way that transcends a paying job. Highly recommended. Thank you!

Everything with Ireland went so smoothly I can hardly believe I stressed about leaving in the first place! My active German Shorthaired Pointer settled right in with her (he’s a Velcro dog) and got lots of walks and exercise. I appreciated all of the mini updates and especially the frequent pictures. She took great care of my home so it was easy to relax and enjoy vacation. Stark was excited to see me when I returned, but sad to see Ireland go. He will see her again because I will definitely book her again!

Nicole took amazing care of our sweet girl. She was responsive to our texts and kept us updated on how our pup was doing, pictures and all. She even took our Maui on an adventure for the day. It warmed our heart to see that our little gal was in such great care. Hoping that Nicole will consider watching our pup again in the future.

Melissa was a fantastic sitter who stayed at our home and took great care of Henry and Charlie while we were away. Communication was excellent from start to finish, and she kept us updated with messages and photos, which gave us real peace of mind. She followed all care instructions, handled our dogs’ different personalities with confidence and care, and we came home to happy pups and a clean, well kept house. We will absolutely book Melissa again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy sitter.

Tiah sat for us for a week in our home when we went abroad. She is one of the best Rover sitters we've hired. She was great with our dog and cat. Our cat never comes out for sitters on their first day in our home, but he did for her. We really appreciated the genuine care with which she treated our home and our animals. She is responsible, kind, communicative, and trustworthy. She left our home spotless at the end of her stay. She really went above and beyond for us to ensure we felt reassured and safe with a new sitter. We would recommend her services to anyone.
