About: Over 10 years of experience has taught me the ins and outs of keeping your furry friend happy and healthy. I can ensure a stress-free experience for both you and your pet! My pets are a cherished part of my daily and weekly routine! Each morning starts with a walk or playtime session, keeping them happy and energized. Throughout the day, I sprinkle in quick check-ins to ensure they have fresh water, a clean litter box (if applicable), and maybe even a quick cuddle session. Evenings often involve another walk or playtime, followed by feeding and quality bonding time. Weekends can be filled with longer adventures like hikes or trips to the dog park. Your pet's comfort is my top priority! When caring for your furry friend in their own home, I seamlessly integrate into their daily routine. Mornings begin with fresh food, water refills, and a walk or playtime session to keep them energized. Throughout the day, I provide potty breaks, playtime, and cuddles (of course!), ensuring they feel loved and secure. Evenings involve another walk or playtime, followed by feeding and quality bonding time. This consistent schedule minimizes stress for your pet while you're away.
About: Pet sitting is a long-standing family tradition for us. When my daughters were growing up, their demanding schedules as competitive dancers didn't allow time for them to hold traditional jobs. To help fund their training, the three of us spent years house and pet sitting together during summers and holidays. I taught them the deep responsibility, respect, and attentiveness required to care for someone else's home and animals. In fact, those lessons stuck so well that my daughter, now a professional dancer, still pet sits between her contracts! Growing up, my life was beautifully full of dogs, cats, birds, and horses (along with an open-door policy for any stray or injured animal that needed help, including rabbits, squirrels and armadillos), which gave me a lifetime of hands-on experience and a deep intuition for animal behavior. Over the decades, I have comfortably managed everything from standard routines to specialized care, including administering oral medications, managing strict supplement schedules, and caring for pets recovering from injury or dealing with age-related limitations. I understand that every pet has unique emotional and physical needs, and I pride myself on providing a calm, steady presence that makes them feel safe and completely secure in their own home. Specialized Experience & Capabilities With a lifetime spent surrounded by dogs, cats, birds, and horses, I comfortably provide specialized, high-tier care that goes far beyond standard pet sitting: Puppy & Kitten Socialization: Building foundational bonds, routine structure, and basic command reinforcement. Senior, Hospice, & End-of-Life Care: Providing a gentle, dignified, and highly intuitive environment for aging companions. Medical & Supplement Management: Expert administration of oral medications, strict supplement schedules, and precise medical timelines. Injury & Surgery Recovery: Meticulous oversight for pets navigating strict physical limitations or recovering from trauma. Anxious & Trust-Building Needs: Creating a secure sanctuary for fosters, recent adoptees, or pets with separation anxiety. Personally & Professionally - Please note: While I am new to this platform (referred by my daughter, a long-time Rover), I bring an 11-year history as a five-star Airbnb guest with a track record of excellent reviews, a five-star rated DoorDasher, and I am also a corporate professional with an established, vetted background on LinkedIn with over 2,000 connections! My status as a WFH (Work from Home) professional allows me to provide your pets with round-the-clock supervision and deskside companionship. My baseline rate accounts for standard flexibility, allowing me to step out for up to 6 hours as needed. For pets needing true Constant Care—where medical, dietary, or anxiety needs require me to remain on the property continuously—there is a $25/day premium add-on. About Me: Committed to Elite, Constant Care Hello! I am a remote-working professional (who LOVES to Travel) embarking on an intentional, vibrant new chapter of life as an empty nester. For the last 25 years, my proudest title was "Mom," raising two incredible daughters as a single mother. Now that they are navigating their own successful paths, I am dedicated to bringing that same fierce devotion, love, and round-the-clock enrichment to your beloved fur-babies. (NOTE: One daughter lives on a cruise ship as a performer, my oldest daughter lives in NYC, and other family members spread about, leaving me interested in traveling ALL OVER - So please feel free to request me!) I understand the profound worry that can come with leaving your pets behind. My mission is to alleviate all anxiety by offering true constant care in the comfort of your home. I bring an intuitive, deeply empathetic approach to caregiving, connecting with your companions on a heart-to-heart level to establish trust, routine, and a calm, steady presence while you are away. My Heart & Dedication: Stories of True Commitment My intuition for animal behavior isn't just a hobby; it is a lifelong calling. I don't easily fluster, and I have a deep-seated "open-door policy" for any creature in need. To understand the level of dedication I bring to your home, you just have to look at a few chapters of my life: Beating the Odds with Bali: Shortly after COVID, I lost my beloved Pomeranian, Bali (whose beautiful life I chronicled on Instagram - Her picture in my profile). When Bali was born, she was so critically ill that vets said she wouldn't make it. I refused to give up. For two solid months, I held her tiny, lethargic puppy body constantly, bottle-feeding her around the clock until she finally perked up and beat the odds. She grew up believing it was beneath her to bark or even use the bathroom in a public space—she was part cat, part human, and the absolute center of my world. That is the level of fierce, round-the-clock devotion I bring to animals under my care. A Gentle Guardian for Seniors (Intuition When It Matters Most): I deeply respect the vulnerability of senior pets. During one of my sits for a sweet senior Golden Retriever, I noticed some unusual lumps that her owners hadn't yet seen. I advocated for her and urged them to take her to the vet, where she was unfortunately diagnosed with cancer. A short time later, while her parents had to travel for an essential work trip, I watched her again. Within a couple of days, I could sense a deep shift in her energy—I knew the signs, and I knew she was declining. Though I make it a strict rule to never unnecessarily disrupt a client's trip, I followed my intuition and called them, gently but firmly explaining that they needed to come home ASAP. They arrived the next day, and she peacefully passed away the very next morning. Her parents were profoundly grateful; they couldn't imagine the heartbreak of not being there for her final moments. I bring that same protective vigilance to your aging companions. Rescuing Boomer: My home has always been a sanctuary for those who need it. I once rescued a scrawny, struggling young cat named Boomer in a parking lot. She was so incredibly grateful for the food and safety I offered that she kept coming right back to my front door (hence her name, "Boomer" for boomerang). Eventually, I made her an official indoor cat, and she spent the rest of her days as the happiest, most pampered girl. The Miracle on the Roadside: My respect for life extends to all of nature's creatures. I once pulled over for an armadillo on the side of the road that had unfortunately been hit by a car. Though she had passed, I noticed her stomach moving. Her pouch was full of live babies. We rescued them, brought them home, and successfully bottle-fed them. Every Life Matters: On another occasion, I spotted a tiny squirrel lying motionless on the sidewalk after falling from a tree. I carefully wrapped her in a towel, secured her in a large, comfortable box to give her room, and spent hours calling resources until I connected with a local squirrel sanctuary that took her in. Personally & Professionally - Please note: While I am new to this platform (referred by my daughter, a long-time Rover) I bring an 11-year history as a five-star Airbnb guest with a track record of excellent reviews, a five-star rated DoorDasher, and I am also a corporate professional with an established, vetted background on LinkedIn with over 2,000 connections!
“Raylin was amazing! She sat our two pups in our house for almost a week. This was the first time we have left them alone at home this long and she took great care of them. They really took to her. We will definitely reach back out to Raylin when we need a sitter again!”

“Gabrielle provides excellent care for my 3 dogs and goes way above and beyond what most dog sitters do. She is the ultimate 5 star in pet care: top notch attention, loving, thorough, caring and genuinely loves her 4 legged clients. I can’t recommend her highly enough. Peace of mind and lots of photos and videos of my doggos is guaranteed when I book Gabrielle. We are extremely fortunate to have her in the Fairhope area!”

About: Hello I have been caring for family dogs since I was 15 between walks, training, and dog sitting. My goal is to make sure your dog is will taken care of and happy. My schedule is very open currently so until that changes I am more than capable of caring for fur babies. So until that changes here we go! I have a fenced yard and 3 dogs from a Yorkie Siberian Husky and Ratterrior. We let them out every 2 hrs of the day and keep them on a good food basis. Making sure they are comfortable and protected in the environment they are in. Which is my goal in a client's home making sure the dogs feel safe around me and comfortable.
“Thank you Patty for taking such good care of our two dogs while we were on vacation for the week! Patty is very responsive, kept our house clean and gave our boys lots of love throughout the week. We will definitely be booking with her again!”

About: I have worked in animal care fields for over five years. I used to work at two different boarding facility's where we would get not only dogs but cats and even birds sometimes. I have also stayed at family and neighbors houses while they were away to help with there fur babies! I look forward to meeting your beloved animals no matter how big or small! I currently work full time at a bank. I have a lot of free time for the weekends and for after work. I have to be at my work by 8:15 but will be able to come depending how close for my lunch to let the babies out. I get off around five so I will be back for the rest of the night. I am currently not able to bring pets to my home due to one of my dogs not being the friendliest. I am able to come and stay at your residence and also available for walking.
About: I am a cat person through and through. I have 4 cats of my own - 2 British shorthairs and 2 rescues. I make sure to give them as much stimulation and play as possible and I’ll treat your cats as if they were my own. I know how hard it can be to find sitters who prioritize cats, and too often kitty care is an afterthought. But not for me! I’ll give your babies the attention and playtime they deserve. Though I am most passionate about cats, I will make sure all the animals in your home are fully taken care of and happy while you’re away. I have experience administering medication, caring for kittens and senior cats, as well as dogs, fish, reptiles, and birds. I work as a freelance media buyer and have full control of my remote schedule. My husband and I used to travel a lot for work, and I really struggled to find quality care for my own 4 cats when we went away. As someone who has dealt firsthand with some not-so-great cat sitters, I really know what it takes to give pet owners peace of mind while away from home. My schedule is completely moldable to your needs. If caring for pets in your home is not an option, I have a spare bedroom with a window and a cat tree, window perch and toys that I have reserved for fostering cats. While I prefer to care for animals in your own home, I will happily take them in if it would be beneficial for your situation.
“Abigail did an excellent job staying at my house and taking care of our 2 dogs and 2 cats while we went out of town. She is very trustworthy and I really appreciated the daily photos!! I will call Abby next time for sure. Thanks Abby!!”

“Kerstin was spectacular! She went above and beyond to take care of my kitties and anything else around my house and she is very reliable and truly loves my babies. I highly recommend her and I hope she will sit again soon. My animals were in wonderful hands and it made my time away stress free!”

About: I’ve grown up around animals my whole life. I have been with inside dogs to outside. No size scares me and have dealt with dogs that have required full 24/7 care with timed medications. I’m currently a college student looking for morning work aside from my afternoon job. If you need a home sister or someone to check in on the weekends I am your person as-well! In your home, I follow the same standards I would for my own. Your dog is my top priority whether we’re snuggling, playing fetch or tug-of-war, or enjoying a walk. I provide care with patience, attention, and genuine love, just as every dog deserves. You tell me what your dog needs and I will be there.
“Bo did a great job with my two dogs and a turtle when I had to go out of town for a few days. She treats them like they are her own pets. She is very kind. She left my house as clean or cleaner than when I left. She is great at communicating and giving updates. I will definitely be using her again!”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Point Clear walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Point Clear maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Point Clear choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
