“Hailey gave our little toy poodle excellent care! Honey warmed up to Hailey very quickly. Hailey followed all my instructions. I appreciated how she kept in touch with me about Honey and how she was doing. I would definitely have Hailey watch our pet again!”

“Holli was great with our pup, Leo! She has great communication and is very caring. We did not have any worries while we were away for the weekend and felt confident that Leo was in good hands!”

“Laura Rose was great - friendly and helpful. Laura was very good with our dogs, and they and our house were well taken care of. We appreciated receiving photos while we were gone. A positive experience for me and the dogs.”
About: What sets me apart is the genuine care and attention I give every pet. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to know your animals are safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I currently care for two pets of my own and have experience watching cats for friends and family on multiple occasions. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and needs so they feel as comfortable as possible. Whether your pet loves playtime, walks, cuddles, or simply having someone nearby, I’m happy to provide personalized care and plenty of attention. My goal is to treat every pet like they’re part of my own family and give owners peace of mind while they’re away. My schedule is flexible, and I can accommodate a variety of pet care needs throughout the week. I always do my best to follow your pet’s normal routine to help them feel comfortable and stress-free while you’re away. I treat every pet as if they were my own by providing attentive, loving, and reliable care. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, and any special requests. I prioritize your pet’s safety, comfort
“Our animals were happy and healthy when we got home! House looked great, and we didn't worry the whole weekend. Dominick is great, and we'll definitely book him again!”

“This was our first time using anybody to watch our dog and home other than family or a boarding center, so we were super skeptical about the Rover process and hiring a stranger to watch our fur baby. However, quickly after meeting Logan, we knew we would welcome her in our home! She was very responsive, friendly and obviously loved animals. These traits were still apparent while she watched our dog in our home for 10 days. She sent us 2-3 pictures or videos of our dog daily (but also stated she didn’t have to if we didn’t want to be bothered on vacation) and we loved getting those updates! When we returned, the house was nice and clean, including fresh laundry and an empty dishwasher. She also offered to water our flowers and they were surprisingly healthier looking when we got back so I know she spent time holding up that offer too. Overall, our dog seemed happy and well cared for and we were pleased with the level of communication she provided. We will definitely use Logan again and would highly recommend her to anybody needing a pet sitter! We just hope she doesn’t get too popular! Thank you Logan!”

About: I've grown up surrounded by pets—from energetic pups to laid-back cats—and caring for animals has always been second nature. For the past three years, I’ve been the go-to pet sitter for my family during vacations, making sure their pets are safe, happy, and loved. I bring that same level of care and attention to every pet I meet! I also have an in house camera system for constant monitoring. Working third shift gives me a flexible daytime schedule, which means I’m wide awake and available when most people are at work. Whether it’s morning walks, afternoon playtime, or midday check-ins, I have the time and energy to give your pet the attention they deserve. I provide care from my apartment, creating a safe and cozy environment for your pet. I live in a very quiet pet friendly neighborhood. I'm also physically strong, which allows me to confidently handle larger or high-energy dogs while keeping them safe and happy. I use flea prevention spray and traps between each client.

“Judy did a great job with our dog. She was very responsive to texts and kept us informed during her stay at our house. She left the house as clean as when she came. We will definitely use her again when we are traveling.”

“Bree was wonderful! And most important, Sophie was a happy girl and well taken care of. Bree’s experience is such a plus and, after just a short time, we felt comfortable and assured that Sophie would be in good hands. We will definitely use her services again.”

“Vada was awesome! My dog can be very anxious and I always worry about him but Vada communicated so well with me and it was my first trip not worrying the entire time. I am so thankful! She spent so much time with him and kept him very happy!”

“We booked Sarah last minute, like the day before our trip! She was quick to come over to meet us and our two beagle boys and learn their daily routine and needs. She was gracious to not only dog sit but house sit for 6 nights, and 7 days. We even added an extra night last minute. Sarah took great care of our boys, and communicated by sending us messages and pictures daily. She even vacuumed the floors and washed their blankets during the week. The house was just as clean when we arrived home as it was the day we left. I recommend Sarah for anyone’s pet sitting needs. Thank you again Sarah for the peace of mind of knowing our babies were well taken care while we were away.”

About: I’ve had experience caring for horses, cats, and dogs. I have nursed many cats back to health in my youth on the farm. I have trained my two puppies and am happy to help in any way possible. I do have experience with diabetes and insulin injections. Senior care with blindness, deafness, and senility is something I’ve very familiar with as well. I am a stay at home dog mom of 3 and cat mom of 1 and have an open schedule to help care for your pets too. I am meticulously tidy and respectful of homes. I am honest and trustworthy and treat your home as I treat my own. My goal is to create a comfortable and happy environment while you’re away and for your pets to be as stress free as possible.
About: I have had a dog in my life for as long as I can remember. I have a passion for making them feel like they’re loved and just like family. I’m currently working part time as a at-home caregiver and so I have a fairly open schedule and work love to make some money in other ways and what would be better than spending my free time with dogs! I do not have a fenced in yard, but I have a car to commute to dog parks or a closed in yard. I also have a 6 year old Golden doodle who loves a play date!!

“We booked Eliot to watch out house/dogs while we were on spring break. We are so glad we found him! He was very communicative and sent updates while still being able to manage our three Aussies independently. He was so kind and calm and we could tell that our dogs felt at ease with him by how they acted when we returned from our extended trip.”

“Lance was awesome. He watched and took care of our 3 Pomeranians as though they were his. He sent us morning and evening photos with updates. He did everything as we asked. I was not worried at all the whole time we were away. That was nice!! I know we have finally found someone to trust with our kiddos. DO NOT HESITATE TO GO WITH LANCE S............HE IS AN AWESOME GENTLEMEN”

“Amara was wonderful with our dog, Coop! She sent us pictures and updates on how he was doing! We were thrilled with her care of our dog and our house as well. When we need another pet sitter, Amara will for sure be on our short list to call! She was wonderful and Coop did so well under her care!!!”

About: I’ve cared for dogs my whole life, from helping with my grandma’s pup to raising my own three miniature dachshunds. My childhood dog, a white Lab-Husky mix, sparked my lifelong love for animals. With years of hands-on experience, I treat every pet like family. Taking care of pets is just part of my everyday life. I’m always up early to let the dogs run around the back yard. Walks, playtime, and cuddles with my own dogs is so important. So adding another furry friend is easy. I love keeping them happy, comfy, and feeling at home. Our dogs have a huge fenced in yard with toys everywhere. In the summers they love swimming and being outside. I have 3 dogs so walks are always interesting but since they have been getting bigger they are understanding better.

FAQs for House Sitting - Plum Tree
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 211 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Plum Tree. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Plum Tree walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Plum Tree maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Plum Tree choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
