I often get nervous leaving my dog at home because he can be a little anxious when we leave, but Megan was able to stop over and meet him a few days beforehand- which was super helpful. “I am a little late in getting out this review, but in no way was it because I was disinterested or not wanting to do so..On the contrary, I absolutely felt the need to write this because of the loving service I felt my family had received from this Pet Sitter. Our family has 2 pets, a dog(Susy) and a cat(Milu) and like most on this site, we deem them to be our precious little babies. They never have really been away from the family for any great length of time, so finding someone to watch and care for them was very important to us. My family was to be in South America for a week, while I was away from home that same time for my work. I had found a Pet Sitter very close to our home for Susy, but could not find anyone for Milu. After much searching, I realized the Rover website and there found numerous Pet Sitters available for Milu. After much searching, we were able to procure the services of a Sitter on Rover and set the contract. Then, with 1 week before our departure, the contractor informed us that she had to cancel our reservation because of health issues in her immediate family and would not be in the area during the needed time. That really put us in dilemma to find someone in such short time. So we searched the Rover site and found several, but all the family agreed to contact Melissa... There were several things that greatly impressed us about Melissa. First there were the reviews. While there were not many, Melissa's reviews were actually very accurate and factual about the care that our Milu would receive. They spoke of the great love she had for animals, as we all experienced firsthand. As I had mentioned, our babies had not been away from us and Milu is very timid with strangers. So, we were surprised when we actually brought her to Melissa and after Milu s brief inspection of her new abode (Lol), she was right there, on the couch and happy as can be. I know that animals sense our love for them and I was amazed at how comfortable she was at that time. Later photos, which Melissa sent through the week, also confirmed how tranquil our precious niña was. In fact, when I returned a week later for Milu, she went to Melissa, not to me and she actually cried when I took her away. That experience was special to me and I knew then that our family had made the correct decision in choosing Melissa. Another proof to me that Milu was very comfortable there, was how she interacted with Melissa's young son. Normally, she runs and hides from children, but the pictures showed her actively playing with the boy! I have never seen her do this with any other children, but my own. I can think of no other magic that could have done that, but love. Yes, I am and family are so pleased with the decision we made to contract Milu's care with Melissa. I think that anyone who loves their pet would also have the same impressions with Melissa's care. I almost never write reviews, but felt the need to express my thoughts and feelings with this one. Thank you Melissa for taking care of our Milu! And, I actually do think that Milu misses you!!!!”

About: I’m experienced in all areas of pet care. I will ensure your pet is safe and comfortable. Whatever their needs are I will make sure they are taken care of! I’m comfortable around all animals of all shapes and sizes and all ages! I am currently unemployed. I am home everyday all day and will always be able to be with your pet or be there for any pet care you need! I have a fenced in yard! I do have other pets in the house but they are all very friendly and very well taken care of! I walk my dogs everyday and ensure they’re always healthy. If I am in a clients home I will respect the home and make sure I leave it the way I arrived! Unless there is an accident then I will clean it!

“Ashlee took on a two dog household for a week long stay as a dog and house sitter and did an amazing job. She was great at communicating before the stay and throughout the stay, and she could problem solve little things to not disturb me on my trip. Ashlee provided the dogs with exercise above what was asked, she cleaned up the house before she left (including the not so fun task of picking up poop from the yard!), and she kept my mind at ease knowing my dogs were in good hands. I highly recommend her to anyone looking to book!”

About: Hi there- my name is Destiny and I have been an avid animal lover since the day I was born. I have had cats and dogs within my care for as long as I can remember. I have taken in many stray cats and have got them neutered/ spayed and have found homes for them over the years. I believe that all animals are a true gift to us in this life. They are only here for a part of our lives but we are their whole life, so they deserve nothing but the utmost love given to them every day. I will treat your dogs/cats like they are my own. I currently work from home for my full time job, so I have adequate time to go on walks, play, and give your pet the attention it needs. I have a 2 bedroom apartment in Poland, Ohio, so I have many sidewalks and parks all by me to take your fur baby on all the walks and play times it needs. I do have a cat, but he is very sociable and friendly towards dogs.
