About: Hi pet owners! I am Shelby and I moved to the Burlington area in 2022. l grew up with a precious Yorkshire Terrier and have had experience caring for pets of all sizes and breeds. About: I have had dogs and cats of my own for 20 years. I have also fostered many dogs for animal shelters. I have experience with all sorts of situations from puppy training all the way to senior pet care. I also have horses that I care for. I work from home and am around all the time except when running errands. I usually have a dog on my lap while working for at least part of every day! I have a schedule I try to keep as far as feeding but potty breaks are throughout the day as needed. I have a huge fenced yard (about an acre) for lots of running and playing room. I crate my dogs when I leave the house and can crate for separation, if needed. I separate at mealtimes to avoid fights over food. I also have multiple gates between rooms for separation and containment.

About: My name is Erin and I've been In the dog industry for over 18 years. I'm a Certified professional dog trainer and also pet first aid and CPR certified. I currently own my own company training. I graduated from National K9 school for Dog trainers in 2016 and have done internships across the country. I've had dogs my entire life but really got involved with them after having cancer when I was 13, during that time I couldn't be around humans because of how lowered my immune system was, so I spend alot of time with therapy dogs. In a way, dogs saved my life and kept my spirits up during a very hard time in my life, and now I plan to dedicate my time to making every dog I come across happy! I personally have 2 dogs. My oldest is an Australian shepherd mix named Dodge who is almost 11, And Rebel is a Belgian Malinois who just turned 8! My whole life is dogs and has been for as long as I can remember. I have a very active dog myself and I know what a challenge it can be sometimes. I'm canine CPR and first aid certified with many refrences both personal and professional. Dogs are never left unattended and are usually double leashed when possible.

About: I've been working with dogs since childhood - my parents raised Pekingese & Dobermans. Even at 8 years old, I helped mama dogs birth their pups. My schoolmates thought it was gross, most adults thought it was weird, but I thought it was super cool to be a part of bringing life into the world through adorable little squeaking pups. Even though we were very ethical & loving with our pups, many backyard breeders are not, so I no longer agree with that. But as an adult, I fell in love with rescues & adopted a few over the years. Then I decided I wanted to be more involved with Rescues. So... I became a Foster Parent, assisted Black Dog Rescue, & was an integral part of Cooper's Companions Animal Rescue in Colorado before moving to NC. I usually ended up fostering unadoptable dogs & working with them extensively until they became adoptable. Then followed up with their new pet parents to help ensure success & making it stick. My specialty is working with fearful dogs, teaching pet owners how to get the behavior they want from their pet, leash training, & training dogs to walk on a treadmill. We have 2 little dogs who had a big 'sister' for many years, so all size dogs are welcome; Both of our pups are super dog-friendly. One of them loves to play with other dogs, and the other will play sometimes, but can be a bit of a snob. We want all dogs to enjoy staying with us, but... we won't tolerate a 'truly' aggressive dog in our home. My dogs don't attack other dogs, so should either of my dogs be attacked or if a human is bitten, the offender will be separated & crated inside, or placed in our separately fenced kennel area outside (only if you prefer) for the remainder of their stay. Any issues will be discussed with the dog owner to establish their preference in this regard. Otherwise, we'll shower your fur baby with love & attention so you won't have to worry about them when you're away. Please note: ***We will only board dogs which are spayed or neutered.*** If they are not spayed/neutered, we will be happy to do drop in or house-sitting care, but we will not be able to host in our own home. P.S. Rover says my response rate is 50%, but that's only because when I've been looking for a sitter for my own dogs and someone tells me in a message that they are unavailable, I don't usually respond. I just keep looking for an available sitter, so the software assumes I have a low response rate. 🙄 I work from home, so I'm almost always available unless we're on vacation or if in the event that I have to go on a business trip. We have a fenced in yard for your pup to play in. The previous home owners put in a separate fenced kennel, so that's an available option in case you prefer your dog to be separated. It's unusual, but some people do prefer that. We almost never use it, though.

About: Hello, I am a 2 dog owner, and have raised 2 boys. I have trained both of my rescue dogs. I love all animals and would like to be able to walk or take care of other pets during my free time. I have been walking dogs for the past year. I am willing to walk, play, feed, babysit or train your dog during the day and on the weekends or when needed. When your pup stays in my home for a boarding they will get lots of attention, they will be able to run around and play inside and at the dog park. They will not be put in a kennel or crate, someone will be home at all times to watch them and I will only board 1 at a time with my 2 labs. I have more than 12 years experience taking care of my own animals and always helped with others when possible. I grew up in the country where we always had animals. I believe that all animals need love and attention like a human. I am a reliable, punctual dog walker and am available to work immediately in the west Cary area.

About: What makes me special? Everything!!! A dog has always been a family member since I can remember. Thank God for loving parents who believed in bringing all kinds of pets in our home. We had birds, hamsters, and even the occasional snake or frog from the yard! There is a certain bond you get from a dog that you cannot get from any other animal, though...and I am lucky enough to have experienced that. My parents are proud owners of a rescue cat, and my sister's family has 3 kitties in their happy home!! They also have a sweet little gerbil that has somehow survived all of those felines! You can definitely tell we are a family of animal lovers!!! Since February 2017, my family "farm" has grown. I raised 21 babychicks from a day old...8 of which were ours, the rest for 2 other families...then we added 3 more, barely mature, hens and a rooster to our flock. It has definitely been a fun and wonderful learning experience! I have a wonderful rescued Pit, Buddy! We raised those chicks with Buddy around...so he is great with them! It's pretty amazing!!! (Oh...and just to clarify...Buddy will stay home during any visits/stays with your pet(s). That way you'll know your baby/babies are receiving the full attention they deserve!) Buddy is probably the most spoiled dog in the world because I make practically everything for him, from his shampoos (using essential oils) to his treats. He does get the dental treats at least once a day, but other than that...he's a gourmet doggie! I am a stay-at-home pup Mom...so on the 24 hour overnight visits with me, I'll only need to leave a couple of times during the day to take Buddy out to play, etc....he'll be with his Dad all night. Otherwise, I'm all yours, so if you need someone there to take your baby out literally every 2 hours or less, I can do it!! :-) I do Daycare a little different than Rover does...I only offer daycare in your home. I feel this is the best way to keep your pets in a place they feel super comfortable & with a sitter who will keep them happy, healthy and on their schedule completely. I will always keep you up to date on how your pet or pets are doing and will send you plenty of pictures if you wish! Extras services available: Baths with or w/o essential oils, Homemade bath soap with essential oils to-go (made with any requested oils from list), Doggie bag of treats to-go (made to your pet's dietary needs.) I have numerous flours available to meet any digestive issues. - No preservatives & human-grade (though some flavors may not suit human's taste buds!)
