“Kind, quality care for my dog, Max. Mike and his partner were extremely friendly and kept in touch with me while Max stayed with them. They sent pictures of him looking happy and healthy during his stay.”
2. Kathleen K.
“Great as always! Milo always has such a great time when he stays with Kathleen. Kathleen always takes amazing care of him and allows me to be away from Milo with no worries. Milo will definitely be back!”
3. Victoria K.
“Victoria was wonderful with Neil- who can be quite shy at times. She sent lots of photos and information throughout his visit - which really helped us to feel comfortable being away. This was Neil’s first time away from our family- and Victoria’s extra effort was particularly appreciated!”
4. Richard T.
“Richard T boarded our dog Callie for a week while we were on vacation. He set up a meet and greet at his home to get her comfortable being there before our trip. Each day, he sent us pictures of her playing or resting to keep us updated and set our minds at ease. Our dog is never crated, so we would not send her to a typical kennel. Richard boards the dogs in his home, so she had access to the house and yard, just like she would at our home. Callie had a great time with the other dogs so we will definitely use Richard T’s services again!”
5. Christine B.
“Christine took great care of my nervous dog and sent updates regularly. I appreciate how she was accomodating and worked hard to make sure my dog was comfortable.”
6. Audrey M.
“Bo seemed very at ease at Audrey's house. I appreciated the daily updates on him too! Thank you so much - will rebook if you're available the next time”
7. Adam C.
“Adam was fantastic with Macy! He sent daily pictures of their activities; even twice on most days! Kept us up-to-date on all things and really gave us peace of mind leaving Macy behind for two weeks. We would 110% reach out to Adam again the next time we need a sitter for Macy.”
8. Karen P.
“This was our second time with Karen and my little one was so excited to see her (his tail wouldn’t stop wagging) it made me smile. She is very patient with the needs of my senior pup. I’m glad we’ve found her.”
9. Christy M.
“Mungo had another great visit with Christy. I had to leave town for a couple of days and it was such a relief to know that Mungo was happy and well cared for while I was gone. Christy sent updates with photos and always responds very quickly to messages. I am so grateful that Christy was able to watch Mungo.”
10. Sebastian O.
“Sebastian was great watching my dog. He was very responsive and sent lots of photos. My dog had a great time staying with him. I would highly recommend!”
11. Tia D.
“Tia was an absolute perfect petsitter for my dog Finley! She was flexible with drop off/pick up, sent updates including photos and videos, and made sure that my boy was getting lots of attention and playtime in the backyard. Tia’s dog Tang was a fantastic companion and playmate so Finley was spoiled having a canine friend around. Couldn’t have asked for more!”
12. Shannon L.
“Shannon has fostered and loves dogs, which gives me great confidence when she walks our dog. She is punctual and attentive to every dog she is responsible for. She has collected toys and blankets for dogs in pounds. I feel completely confident with our dog in Shannon's care.”
13. Brian B.
“I trust Brian and Erin and I feel confident leaving Benji with them. Benji likes their dog (and didn't want to leave when we came to pick him up). Thank you, Brian and Erin!”
14. Matthew S.
“Matthew was our first experience with Rover, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! We did a meet and greet with Rosie prior to her stay, and he made sure she was comfortable at his home and let her sniff around. Throughout her stay, we received updates with lots of pictures that gave us piece of mind while we were away. Matthew was great at communicating and we felt very comfortable that Rosie was having a good experience at his home! We would definitely use him again and would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a place for their dog to stay!”
15. Jessica B.
“Jessica was great. Took Gizmo last minute and was very accommodating. She has a clean and quiet home and a very nice little dog Finn who’s a total cutie. Plenty of updates and pics if requested. A pleasure to work with! Thanks Jess!”
16. Carly S.
“Carly was very nice and Princess liked her. She actually slept in the living room because Princess was afraid of the steps. Those are the things that are genuinely appreciated”
17. Lauren K.
“Lauren was amazing! Moxie had the time of her life and was extremely well taken care of. I feel 1000% comfortable leaving Moxie with Lauren and Max anytime!”
18. Trish M.
“Trish was an amazing dog sitter. Very easy to communicate and coordinate with. Enna even ate her first evening there which is not typical when she’s in a new space. Pup came came back calm and tired. Great experience!”
19. Sara H.
“Toby had so much fun with Sara! My kids loved getting the pictures and updates about his stay. We will definitely be booking again in the future!”

I am committed to your furry family members' happiness and well-being. I am dedicated to providing personalized care tailored to each pet's unique needs. I have experience with puppies and senior pets providing me with the skills and knowledge to ensure your pet receives the attention they deserve at every stage of life. I am currently a senior dance major at Point Park University who is staying in Pittsburgh for the summer. I do not work either so my time is very flexible. I live in a pet-friendly apartment building in Downtown Pittsburgh. The building has a small dog park and a dog wash station. I live close to Point State Park as well for a good dog walking route.

Why do dog owners love Pittsburgh?
Residents of The 'Burgh are treated daily to a city full of history, entertaining professional sports leagues, and cultural institutions. Home to educational institutions like Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Pittsburgh - plus cultural attractions including the Andy Warhol Museum - it's often ranked one of the country's most livable cities. So it's easy to see why dog owners love living in Pittsburgh. Plus, there are tons of dog-friendly green spaces and friendly Rover dog sitters and walkers throughout the city.
Which parks in Pittsburgh are good for dog walks?
Referred to as OLEAs, Pittsburgh has many Off-Leash Exercise Areas your dog to enjoy. Take Frick Park dog park on Squirrel Hill - it's a massive 644 acres for you and your dog to explore. There are separate fenced areas for running, lots of trails, and a swimming hole for dogs near Lower Tranquil Trail. Though not quite as large, Riverview Dog Park at Perry North is still a huge park to visit at 259 acres total, with two acres fenced off just for off-leash fun near the Allegheny Observatory. At Bernard Dog Run in Lawrenceville, you'll find a bustling half-acre park under the 40th Street Bridge. There are separate play areas for large and small dogs to keep pups safe and having fun with other dogs their own size. Dogs need to stay on leash at Point State Park, but that shouldn't stop you from spending a day walking its three main hiking trails. It's right downtown in the Golden Triangle, so you can't miss it!
What Pittsburgh neighborhoods are good for dog owners?
Pittsburgh has over 90 vibrant and unique neighborhoods, so deciding where to visit or even settle down can be a tough decision. From S&D Polish Deli to the Pennsylvania Macaroni Co., there are tons of interesting and eclectic shops and grocers in the Strip District, just east of downtown Pittsburgh. If you're looking for something a little more upscale, take your shopping over to the Shadyside area. You can get a dose of culture and intellectual discussion in Oakland, where you'll find the 53-story gothic building that houses the University of Pittsburgh's Cathedral of Learning. If you need a place to stay, check out the edgy, metroplication chic of the Ace Hotel or Indigo Hotel in the East Liberty neighborhood. Looking for a bite to eat? Head over to Pittsburgh's "Little Italy," Bloomfield. Take a bridge from downtown to discover North Shore and North Side, home to Heinz Field and PNC Park, and be sure to get a glimpse of the larger-than-life Mister Rogers' statue nearby. You can also take a nice stroll down the tree-lined streets of the charming Sewickley neighborhood, or catch an amazing view in Mt. Washington.
