About: Taking care of dogs and cats has been my specialty since I was a child! I have had 8 dogs of all kinds, as well as 10 cats, not including my grandmother’s. My family and neighbors would trust me to feed and water their pets while they were away. I am great at crating puppies and socializing feral/young kittens. It’s always a pleasure to brush or bathe pets depending on their size! I am working a part-time job at Petsmart so my day is already filled with furry faces! But I will still have plenty of days where I can come take care of your puppy or kitty! My schedules are usually two weeks out so I have plenty of notice of when I am free. Contact me of a day when you’d like me to care for your pet and I will let you know the earliest I am available that day! Unfortunately I am not in a position to invite pets into my home… I am figuring out my living situation and will update this section when I have a suitable place for pets to visit!
“We couldn’t be happier with the amazing care our dog received while we were away on vacation. Lauren went above and beyond to make sure our pup felt loved, comfortable, and well-exercised every single day. It gave us such peace of mind knowing our dog was in such capable and caring hands. From daily walks and playtime to thoughtful updates and photos, everything was handled with professionalism and genuine love for animals. Our dog absolutely adored her and it showed! We came home to a happy, relaxed pup, which says everything about the quality of care provided. We are so grateful and highly recommend Lauren’s services to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, kind, and truly exceptional with dogs!”

About: I've taken care or have owned dogs my entire life. Last August, we lost our best friend, Nala, too soon. She was a German Shorthaired Pointer (GSP) and at the age of 5 was impacted by a very rare auto-immune disease especially for her breed. This was a tragic loss for my family and I and at this moment owning/adopting another dog would be hard. We don't want to ever experience that kind of pain. Having said that, we have so much love for animals and would be grateful to take care of your dog/cat as one of our own. Would prefer to pet sit in your home as we have 3 cats. However, boarding at our home is an option. It's mostly just my fiance Ashley and I living in the home as our adult boys are away at college. Please consider us for all of you pat care needs. Thank you! Working full-time but have a hybrid schedule. In the office 3 days a week but can be flexible. Available weekends and holidays for overnight boarding. I do not have a fenced in yard but there is a park nearby. I also walk/run several miles a day. We live in a 3-level condo with plenty of room for zoomies.

About: I am a lover of all animals, they are my world. I look forward to taking care of your furry friends as if they were my own. I am an owner and operator of a dog grooming business in the Lewisberry area. I also have owned dogs and other animals most of my life. I have taken care of my neighbors, friends and family's dogs, cats, and other pets. I always have had a special bond with animals and enjoy time spent with them. Through the years I've raised orphaned bunnies, birds, and squirrels. Most of what I know is self taught by experience, books, or by asking questions to other animal people and veterinary . I am willing to take care of other household pets: cats, bunnies, hamsters, birds, and lizards.
About: I have many years of experience caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities, though I avoid working with overly aggressive dogs. I focus on dogs body language so I can approach them in a way that makes them feel safe. I offer walks, drop ins and playtime, where I bring patience and energy to match your dogs needs and wants. No matter the stage of life your dog is in, I am passionate about treating them all with equal love and attention. I work remotely on my own schedule so I am available weekdays and weekends! I am available all day long and can work pet care into my schedule. I focus on caring for animals in a very gentle and safe way. Respecting animals boundaries while providing them with the love and attention they need is of my highest priority and I particularly focus on making sure your animal feels safe and loved.

About: Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with a dog, so I understand that they aren't just pets, they're family. Over the years, I've cared for the dogs of friends and family, whether that meant stopping by for walks, staying with them while their owners were away, or making sure they got plenty of playtime, cuddles, and attention. If I'm being completely honest, my favorite living creature on the planet is my fur niece, Baby. She's absolutely spoiled, and I love every second I get to spend with her. Being around dogs genuinely brings me joy, and I know how important it is to find someone you trust to care for them. My goal is simple: to keep your dog's routine as normal as possible and make them feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you're away. Whether your pup loves long walks, playing fetch, or just curling up on the couch for some company, I'll make sure they get the care and attention they deserve. I want you to be able to enjoy your time away knowing your fur baby is in good hands and being cared for like you never left. I work part-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility to spend quality time with your pup throughout the day. They'll get lots of attention, playtime, potty breaks, and, of course, plenty of love. I understand that inviting someone into your home and trusting them with your pet is a big decision. I don't take that responsibility lightly. My goal is to care for both your home and your fur baby with the same respect and attention I would expect for my own. I'll follow your pet's routine, respect your house rules, and keep your home clean and secure while you're away. I'll also provide regular updates and photos, so you can relax knowing your pet is safe, happy, and in loving hands. My hope is that when you return home, your pet has been so well cared for that it feels like you were never gone.

“Ella was reliable and on time. She communicated in a timely manner and she did wonderful on the walk with my pups. The one has anxiety so he only walks so far down the street. So she walked them a few times and even gave me feedback on if they did #1 or 2. I will hire her again in the future.”

About: Hi everyone! I have been around animals all my life, grew up with dogs and cats in my family for years! I usually dog or cat sit for clients who look to go away for trips in NJ but have recently moved to Mechanicsburg, PA! I work from home so am able to stop in or house sit most of the time! I currently work from home so I am available most of the time! I am able to do drop in visits for local families as well as dog walking during long work days and can stay in the house with your loved ones while you are away on a trip! About: I have had 8 years of experience dog sitting, hosting, walking and staying at others homes for dog sitting. I love dogs and as I think cats are cute, I am allergic and unfortunately cannot watch them. I love dogs of all sizes and ages! I love boys or girls! I enjoy going on car rides and checking out new areas for the pups to take a walk. I have had dogs my whole life. I currently have a pittie/lab mix and his name is Bentley. He loves to cuddle, play with other dogs, and is sweet as can be! I currently work full time hybrid. I work from home tuesdays and Friday’s and off on weekends. These are the best days for me to have a dog with me since I’m home. I work a 8-4 job. I care for them by spending time, making sure they are fed, walked, and loved on. I have my dog who enjoys chilling or playing with the dogs depending on what the other dog prefers. Pet care fits with my routine as I am hybrid for work and only live 10 mins away from my job. It is easy for me to run home over lunch to check on the dog I’m watching or if close by take out. I make time to spend with the dog I am watching and that they feel comfortable in my home. While dogs are in my home, I treat them like my own. They are able to sleep with me, be on furniture, etc. I take them for walks to get exercise. With parent permission I make ice cream treats (blueberries & Greek yogurt frozen together) and give them to the dog. I make sure they feel comfortable, are fed and have plenty of water. If a parent would like me to administer meds or give a bath, I am happy to do so!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
