About: Dogs have been a part of my life for most of my life. My first dog was our family’s black Lab, Nya. Then I got my own dog, Henry, a Jack Russell Terrier mix who was by my side for 12 wonderful years. As Henry got older, he experienced a variety of health issues, so I became very comfortable administering medication, including oral medications and eye drops. I’m also familiar with caring for dogs who require a specific diet and a little extra patience and attention. I recently had to say goodbye to Henry, and while I’m not quite ready to welcome another dog of my own, I deeply miss the companionship and joy that comes with having a furry friend around. I know how much trust it takes to put your dog in someone else’s care. Whether they need a good walk, playtime, companionship, or just someone to give them a little extra love while you’re away, I’d love to be someone your family can count on. I’ll treat your dog with the same patience, affection, and care I would want someone to give my own. ❤️ My schedule is very flexible right now, which allows me to make pet care a regular part of my day. I’m available Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 7 PM for walks, drop-in visits, playtime, feeding, or just some extra companionship while you’re away. I have plenty of flexibility throughout the day, so I’m happy to work with your pet’s normal routine and schedule whenever possible. If you need care outside of those hours, feel free to reach out! About: I worked in an animal shelter for about 2 years, I've had dogs and cats all my life. I also have some experience with lizards. I work night shift, usually from 5-2AM. I wake up around 6AM, to take my son to school. Afterwards I pretty much have the whole day to myself. I have one dog and two cats, they are my little fur babies. I respect pets and their space. I'm usually home and Dan works out of our home so we make a great team taking care of all the pups here. We are flexible and willing to work with your schedule. We have a privacy fenced in 1/4 acre yard for plenty of exercise and room to run and sniff. I love playing fetch if your pup is into that. Your pup will always be supervised and NEVER left unattended outside. I closely monitor dog introductions and take note of their body language. If their energy levels don't match and one becomes overbearing to another, I can keep them separated in a gated area. If a dog plays too rough, I referee accordingly. My goal is to ensure all dogs are happy and comfortable during their stay. Crate trained is preferred for adult dogs, but not required as long as they are completely potty trained (1-2 accidents are fine), isn't destructive, and can stay within a gated area when needed. All puppies less than a year must be crate trained as they will be sleeping in a crate overnight for their safety. All of my dogs are crate trained, so I can put them in off mode if your pup wants his/her individual playtime. If you have any special needs or routines I will be happy to accommodate. About: I have always had an admiration for animals no matter the type. But for some reason the love that you get in return from a dog is just indescribable. I know that it is always a weary feeling to leave your babies in the care of someone else. But it definitely helps to know that the person caring for your pet shares the same passion that you do. I never thought that I would own small dogs but I am actually glad that I do have two Chihuahuas now because I can take them almost anywhere! There has been an occasional weekend trip where I haven't been able to bring the pups along and it just didn't feel the same having to leave them behind. So if you have to leave them, leave them with someone who will care for them just as well as their own! I definitely prioritize my pets before any plans are made! No matter the time of day, week or year. They are my fur babies and anyone that knows me will agree! Depending on the environment or location, I would definitely say to use a leash first and foremost. I would also like to know if you know about the other animals in the area, just to provide as much safety as possible.
