“I found Michele &Drew to be wonderful mixture of understanding animals enough to initially being careful of how they introduced Maya into their “pack”, and relaxed enough to enjoy and have fun w the pups They were great and sending texts to keep in touch, taking Maya for walks and understanding my dogs quirky behavior I feel fortunate to have met them and hope to continue w many more visits”
“Olga was absolutely wonderful with Ruth and very accommodating to my unpredictable schedule at times. Ruth was newly adopted and had a couple issues, so I wanted to make her transition to her new life as easy as possible. Every time I picked her up, she was very happy and seemed to be coming out of her shell. I’m so grateful I found Olga on Rover and will definitely be a repeat client!”

“Elisa was absolutely wonderful with our puppy! From the moment we arrived, our pup ran straight into her home without hesitation or barking at all, which immediately showed us how comfortable and safe she felt there. That alone gave us so much peace of mind. Elisa was incredibly kind, accommodating, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. She kept us updated throughout the stay and sent plenty of pictures, which made us feel connected and reassured while we were away. It’s obvious our puppy had an amazing time and was well cared for. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and will definitely be booking with Elisa again. I highly recommend trusting your pup with her, you won’t regret it!”

“Our pup, Hallie, loved staying with Lauren, Chris, and their dog, Winston. They are very warm and welcoming, not to mention very flexible, responsive, and accommodating. Winston is a sweet, playful dog that Hallie had a great time becoming friends with. We hope they will watch Hallie for us many times in the future and feel very comfortable and confident that she is being well taken care of when we are away from home.”

“Our dog has done weekly daycare with Pamela for about two years, that’s easily 100 times- and I would recommend her 100 times over. She’s also boarded our dog and checked in on our cat when traveling. Pamela is great at communicating during a stay and always takes the best pictures of our pup. She genuinely loves her job and every dog that she works with she treats as her own. I’ve never worried about my dog with her and any issues (dogs not immediately getting along) have always been quickly and thoroughly communicated. The pack of daycare dogs she made has been amazing at socializing our dog and wearing her out. Our dog is so excited to go to Pamela’s every single time and sleeps so well that night. Pamela is truly unique in how she runs her daycare and the services she provides. Any dog that gets to spend the day with her is well loved and cared for. I can’t recommend her enough!!!”

“My dog was so happy over at Alain's house. I can tell the whole family truly loves dogs and treated him wonderfully. Thank you so much and I would recommend this pet sitter to anyone.”

“Diana was very accommodating and friendly. She listened to my needs and communicated throughout the day. She knew I was worried about to my fur babies so she always let me know how they were doing.”

“Krista was amazing! When I was dropping Oliver off at her house, he immediately went right to Krista and proceeded to go inside her home like he had known her forever! It made it so easy to leave Oliver, knowing how comfortable he felt. I would definitely recommend Krista and will reach out to her again while staying here in Cape Coral.”

“Mike is awesome. Loved that he took the time to understand our dog during the meet and greet. His home is in a quiet and peaceful location. Our dog is technically still a puppy, so with Mike also being a professional trainer (and fellow American Lab owner) that's a bonus! We appreciate his honest feedback on tips and corrections we can do as owners to continue to train Chaco to be a good canine citizen. Not only is he a bad a$$ former federal police K-9 trainer, but a really nice guy. We are wintering in Florida and wanted to feel comfortable with who we entrusted the care of Chaco. We unequivocally recommend Mike.”

“Meltem is a fanstastic dog sitter and took great care of our teenage poodle. He is full of energy but she handled it very professionally. She is a very friendly person and her home is super clean and nice. I would recommend her anytime and we love to use her services in the future”

About: I just lost my two pittie babies at 15.5 and 16.5 years and am looking to help other pet parents ❤️ I have rescued a new baby named Bug who is almost 2 years old and she LOVES all dogs! Our yard is 1/2 acre and fenced in so plenty of room to run! I love making sure dogs are spoiled when their parents are away and always look after my friends dogs if they go on vacation! I'm law enforcement certified so you're dogs and house are safe with me! I can run with the dogs, play inside with them, walk with them, bring them to the vet or groomers, help train them simple commands, and give them tons of love while your gone! Whatever your dog needs, I can handle it and do what is best for you and them! I love being around all dogs (and cats, and rabbits, and any animal!) and am happy to help where I can! I work about 3 nights a week and my husband works days so there is always someone at the house to watch the pups and make sure they're comfortable. I have a fenced in yard and a lake for swimming if they like the water! They will always be supervised and cared for as of they were my own!

About: I have over 40 years’ experience caring for pets. I've often watched friends and family dogs. As I am now fully retired and recently lost my most precious Dachshund, Nathan(hotdogs) after 16+ years, I’m hoping to help anyone who may need pet care watching their family dogs. I really enjoy watching, walking and playing with pets. See you soon! I'm fully retired and spend most of my time at home. I have plenty of free time and I’ve always enjoyed getting out for a dog walk in the early morning and late afternoon. I'm committed to loving care and safety for my clients' pets. I always enjoy long walks with the energetic fast pace Rovers. I'm always cautious to have them on a proper leash and collar or harness during their walks. I take care not to walk dogs when it's too hot and always keep them off of hot sidewalks and pavement. I also allow plenty of couch and TV time for all dogs especially the less active senior dogs. Tell me your dog's needs and habits and I will do my very best to make them feel right at home.
“Jessica is AMAZINGGGG! I am so picky with who I select to watch my pup and I had zero worries with my sweet boy in Jessica’s care. She sent me updates throughout the day and my boy was always happy and comfy in every photo. Jess is the best and I highly recommend using her. ◡̈”

About: Hi! I’m a dependable animal lover and homeschool mom who genuinely enjoys caring for pets and making them feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their owners are away. Because I homeschool my two boys, I’m home often and able to provide plenty of attention, supervision, and care throughout the day. I have a sweet 9-year-old Shih Tzu, so caring for dogs is already a big part of our daily life. My boys (ages 10 and 13) absolutely love animals and have even been hired by neighbors to help care for their pets. They’ve grown up around dogs and understand how to be gentle, calm, respectful, and caring with animals. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I treat every animal like part of the family. I’m patient, attentive, and happy to follow your pet’s normal routine so they feel as stress-free and comfortable as possible. Whether your dog loves playtime, cuddles, walks, or just relaxing in a calm environment, I’ll make sure they get plenty of attention and affection while in my care. I also love sending photo updates so you can feel connected and reassured while you’re away. I’d love the opportunity to care for your pet like one of my own! As a homeschool family, we’re home often and able to provide lots of attention, supervision, potty breaks, playtime, and cuddles throughout the day in a calm, cozy environment. Your pet’s safety and comfort are very important to me. We have a private backyard for potty breaks and outdoor time, but because the yard is not fenced, all dogs are kept safely on a leash or lead at all times while outside. Pets are always supervised during outdoor time, and I take extra care to make sure they feel secure, comfortable, and well cared for while in my home. I’m also happy to follow any specific safety instructions, routines, or preferences you have for your pet. My goal is to provide a calm, loving, and safe environment where your pet feels right at home.
About: I stand out because I’m reliable, communicative, and genuinely invested in each pet’s routine. I follow instructions exactly, send clear updates every visit, and make sure you always know how your pet is doing. I’m very active, so dogs get real walks and engagement — not just a quick loop. I have a calm, gentle energy that helps shy or anxious pets feel safe, and I’m patient with all personalities. I don’t overbook, I don’t cancel last‑minute, and I treat every home and pet with the same care I’d want for my own. Pet care is part of my daily afternoon routine. I work Monday–Friday and schedule my visits during the same time window each day, which keeps things consistent for the pets I care for. I’m active and outdoors every afternoon anyway, so walks, drop‑ins, and playtime fit naturally into my day. I don’t overbook myself, so your pet always gets my full attention, and I follow their routine exactly — meals, meds, walks, and quiet time. My schedule is steady, reliable, and built around giving pets calm, consistent care. I provide calm, consistent, safety‑focused care. I follow your routines exactly, keep your home clean, respect your space, and give clear updates so your pet feels secure.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
