“Highly recommend! 10/10! 5 stars. Charish was so sweet to our pugs and sent many updates. She was also so kind and a really respectful guest in our home. We can’t wait for her to care for our girls again!”

“LaDonna is absolutely amazing. She came beforehand to meet the dogs and establish a relationship. Always responded to messages, sent pictures. We are new to the area and had to leave town for 2 weeks, stressful enough, she made the dogs one less thing to worry about. Dogs loved her! They got food, treats, play time. They were in great spirits when we got home. We had a flight get cancelled and she was able to adjust and stay a whole extra night for us. House was even cleaner when we got home than how we left it!”

“Madelyn was great with both of our dogs. We have 2 German shepherds 100lbs+ and we have a road behind our house with no fence. She had no problems with them. Left our house spotless, washed and folded all the bedding that she slept on as well. We have used rover multiple times and she has by far been the best house/dog sitter that we have used. We highly recommend using her. We will definitely be using her the future!”

“i will definitely recommend and use Ryan again, he took great care of my dogs, he took detail on what their schedules and needs, my dogs where well taken care of, Ryan was a great help while i was on vacation! 5 stars!”

“Abi did an amazing job taking care of Louie and our house! She was very responsive and sent pictures and updates all weekend. We could tell she knew how to handle dogs immediately after meeting her. We would highly recommend her for any pet sitting!”

“JaNiya is a phenomenal housesitter, especially if you have shy animals (but *any* animal would love her!). We have two skittish greyhounds and a very shy adopted cat. Within one day, our cat was sitting in JaNiya’s lap, and our dogs were relaxed and happy. I couldn’t believe it! She has such a calm, tender presence, and you can tell she adores animals. She’s even studying to be a veterinarian! Do not pass her up! She’s the only housesitter we’ll use from now on!”

“I had a wonderful experience! She was very responsive and took the time to come for a meet and greet before my trip. While I was away, I received plenty of pictures and videos, which made me feel reassured that my little Teddy Bear was in great hands.”

“Allie was fantastic. She took notes during our meet and greet, and was very communicative and sent tons of pictures during her stay. She was also very fast to respond and our dog absolutely loved her. Our pup is camera shy and it said a lot about Allie that our girl felt comfortable enough with her that Allie could get so many good pictures ? We knew our dog was in very good hands with Allie, we would use her again in a heartbeat. Thanks Allie!”

“Emilie did a great job. Our pups were well taken care of and happy with her. She communicated well and quickly and I never felt like I couldn't get ahold of her. I would highly recommend her to anyone who needed their pets taken care of.”

“Toni was beyond good to myself, my dogs, and my house. I was super comfortable leaving my dogs in her hands and she took exceptional care of them. I came back to my home cleaner than it was. Toni is like if a guardian angle came to dog sit for you. 🤍”

About: I'm a dog Mom to two golden retrievers and I have experience with puppies as we've raised 2 litters so far! I can handle anything from puppies to geriatric dogs. I work from home so your pet will be given attention all day everyday! I am able to work around the animals schedule to fit their needs. We have a huge fenced in yard full of toys and ready for play time! They are given their own kennel, food and water bowls, blanket and daily treats! For home visits, I'll provide the owner updates along with pictures of their fur babies!
“Michelle house sat for a week while we went on a beach vacation and was fantastic. She sent pictures and videos every day of our dachshund Banjo and checked in every night to tell me how his day went. Even our neighbors raved about how attentive she was in the backyard with Banjo always giving him pets and playing fetch. We will definitely be hiring her again!”

“THE BEST! Both our cat and dog immediately loved Hanna. Usually our dog is pretty protective until he gets to know you. He went right up to Hanna, wagging his tail and asking for attention. She handled our fur babies with care and confidence. We could tell from the body language in the pictures she sent us that they were happy and content. Hanna's communication was excellent from the moment we first had contact with her until she was finished watching our animals. She went above and beyond in every aspect. Definately an incredible sitter. Without a doubt we will contact her the next time we need a sitter.”
“Laura was great with our animals. We have 2 dogs and a cat. Old and young-big and little, Laura took care of them all and sent lots of pictures and videos each day. Laura also took care of our house while we were gone. When we came home the house was clean and neat. The bed had been stripped and the sheets washed. Thanks again Laura for allowing us to have a carefree trip.”

About: All my life I’ve grown up taking care of animals. I currently have two cats and a family cocker spaniel that I deeply miss. RIP Samson 💔 All of my close friends are cat/dog parents so of course being the good auntie that I am have taken care of them during vacations for long at home stay’s or quick check in’s for potty and a walk. Wether it’s super puppy stage to senior dogs, I’m very familiar with all stages ♡ I’m currently working part-time so I have spare time to give extra attention to your baby! During the weekdays I’m very open, flexible for the weekends! So I won’t have any issue scheduling our time together. I have two cats. One is indoor and has supervised outside time while my other cat is an indoor/outdoor cat and spends most of his time outside. I provide lots of enrichment for my indoor while I’m away at work. Certain dogs and cats can definitely be welcomed into my home just depending on the circumstances.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 492 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Pine Hill. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Pine Hill walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Pine Hill maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Pine Hill choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
