“Annie was awesome with our golden retriever Charlie! We did a meet and greet a few weeks prior which I thought was a wonderful idea. During his stay at her house, she was very diligent about sending photos and made us feel at ease that she was taking such great care of him so we could truly enjoy our family vacation. We could tell Charlie made himself right at home at her place and he seemed to get along great with her pups. We ended up asking her if she could keep him longer as we were wanting to extend our vacation. She was very accommodating and added the additional days to the booking right away. She is very responsive which is so appreciated. We would absolutely recommend her to others. We would love for Charlie to stay with her again in the future! Thank you Annie!!”

“Mary was great. She was able to accommodate to my schedule for a last minute beach trip and sent updates of my baby before I could even ask for them. Will be a returning client!”

“The best. Gave my furbabies lots of lovies and snuggles. I got lots of pictures and texts to let me know that they were just fine. After 8 days they came home happy and content. I got to enjoy my vacation without worrying about them. Awesome 🤩 ❤️”

“We were very happy with how Brooke took care of our Corgi. He came out of her house safe and happy and went back the next day happy to see her. We hope to use Brooke again and would recommend her for your pet!”

“Kasey and Adam took amazing care of Kylo for his first time. Genuinely enjoyed their responsiveness and willing to work with me. Additionally, due to the storm, Kylo had to stay an extra day and they worked with me to ensure we could extend his stay by a day and he was happier then ever when I picked him up. Will definitely rebook and definitely recommend them for all your dog needs.”

“Jayda was amazing with my dog and kept me updated daily with photos and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind. I could tell my pup was well cared for and happy. Highly recommend!”

“Natalie was so great with Remi! She kept me updated regularly with pictures and took him out on multiple adventures. We’ll definitely be booking with Natalie again in the future!”

“It’s been a couple years since we’ve had to board our high-anxiety dog, so we’re careful about where he goes. He went to Maria for almost a week and he did so well with her! She sent pictures and videos multiple times a day :) And he seemed genuinely happy in all of them! We will definitely send our dog to her again and recommend her to anyone who asks!”

“Rachel was great! My dog loved her two pups and she sent tons of pictures when I was away. Was so great to know he was taken care of while on vacation. Would definitely use her again!”

“Mango absolutely loved spending time with Jacquelyn, she truly brought him into her home and treated him like her own. I couldn’t be more grateful to have had a very engaged and professional sitter. We had a little delay in our return from our trip due to weather so we had to show up later than the pickup time scheduled and Jacquelyn was more than willing to accommodate. I highly recommend Jacquelyn for anyone looking to board their pets.”

“Milo had such a good time and Michel gave multiple updates each day! I will definitely use her again. I also want to note, he played outside quite a bit with her dogs but didn’t come back smelly which was so surprising! Definitely taking my baby to her again the next time we need a sitter ☺️”

“I booked with Kaitlin super last minute, I even took a huge leap of faith and left Rocky with her without even meeting her due to emergent circumstances!! She was great with communicating and sending daily updates of my Rocky. He also seemed to love her furbaby! I will definitely be using her in the future when needed.”

“Cynthia is the best she kept me updated I was a little late she was understanding. She has a positive attitude my daughter had a tournament she was wishing my child luck. My dog had a great time. I was a little worried at first but she eased my mind with the updates. She’s truly amazing I recommend her to everyone. You don’t have to worry about anything with her. Once again I will capitalize on her putting my heart at ease by communicating with me frequently when she was watching my dog. This was the first time I ever used this app but I'll be using Cynthia again”

Alex was incredible! He went out of his way to pick-up and drop-off our dogs last minute due to unforeseen travel. He sent consistent updates and took our dogs on plenty of walks. He made it evident that he truly cares about and loves animals. He has been the best rover we have used by far! We will continue to book with him as long as we live here. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
