“This the second time I’ve written a review for Brittani and it seems like every time she watches our cat, Anna-Murphy, she’s more amazing than the last! My husband and I were out of town for an entire month and Brittani came over every day to check in and take care of our precious cat. Even when we had no access to phones during a portion of the month, Brittani wrote heartfelt and conscientious daily updates and sent a myriad of photos. We even came home to a photo album Brittani made of their month together and an amazing note to my husband and I welcoming us back from training. We truly do not know how we got so lucky to find Brittani a few months ago, but I do know that Anna-Murphy will never settle for another rover again!”

“Alanna took care of my two kitties for 6 days. I honestly don’t feel comfortable leaving them with anyone else but her. She sent me the cutest pictures and videos of them playing and cuddling. This is my 2nd booking with Alanna and definitely not the last :). Thank you Alanna!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of my own ever since I was a kid. I love animals and having any excuse to bond with them. I currently have a dachshund named Tucker who is 7 years old and I have a lot of experience working with other people’s pets as a sitter. I am currently available full time for pet care and I am looking for new clients. Im excited to take care of your fur babies and to make your pet feel safe, content and happy! I do not offer pet care in my own hone. I provide care for pets at client homes only. I believe pets should be surrounded in an environment they’re used to and familiar with.

About: I am an experienced sitter who you can trust to take amazing care of your pup. I take any (and all) opportunities to snuggle and go on fun adventures. I’m working part time at a boutique downtown so I have plenty of time to babysit your children and make sure they have the care, love and attention they need. Please ask any questions & I’d be happy to meet you beforehand to make sure I’m the right fit. I’m very active and adventurous. I love to explore, walk, cuddle and play with my furry friends but most importantly is what you know your animal wants and what they will be happy and comfortable with, and I will do just that.

About: I’ve always had a special place for animals! Growing up, my home was sanctuary to 3 dogs, a cat, sweet guinea pigs, and even on occasion a ladybug or butterfly (in order to prove my caregiving skills to my parents). From my days dog-walking and pet-sitting, I honed in my pet are skills during my time working for a pet store and boarding clinic called Lucky Pets. At Lucky Pets I was able to master my pet-sitting skills, absorb many different types of dog training methods, and learn about all sorts of pet products and pet needs. I’m currently a recent graduate and UCF ROTC commissionee of the U.S. Army, and I’m awaiting my orders this summer. I have a car, and I’m able to drive to your house to watch over your pet! I’m very comfortable hanging out with your pet in mine or your home, and I’m able to feed, walk, and play with any animal big or small!

About: I have 4+ years of hands-on pet care experience, including professional dog grooming and caring for my own pets. Through grooming, I’ve worked with dogs of many breeds, sizes, ages, temperaments, and coat types, so I’m comfortable reading canine body language and adjusting my approach to each individual dog. I’m experienced with puppies, seniors, nervous dogs, feeding routines, walks, bathing, brushing, nail care, and providing plenty of attention and affection. I treat every pet in my care with the same patience and attention I would want for my own. I’ve always made caring for animals a natural part of my everyday routine. I’m used to planning my day around feeding, walks, playtime, grooming, and giving pets plenty of attention. I’m flexible with scheduling and make sure each pet gets consistent, dependable care based on their normal routine. I treat every pet like they’re one of my own and make their safety and comfort my top priority. I follow each owner’s instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medications, potty routines, and any special needs. I always keep a close eye on pets, provide a clean and comfortable environment, and make sure they receive plenty of attention and affection. With my professional experience working with animals, I’m also comfortable recognizing changes in behavior or signs that a pet may be stressed or uncomfortable.

FAQs for Cat Sitting - Pine Hill

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
