“Nicole was amazing with our puppy! We were very anxious dog moms and they did everything to calm our nerves! The pictures they took had us dying! Our puppy was clearly have the BEST time and was very comfortable with Nicole. Would highly recommend them!!”

“We had such a great experience with Kathryn watching Marty! She went above and beyond to make sure Marty was happy and well cared for. She even stopped by a few days before to meet Marty, which gave us so much peace of mind. While we were away, she kept us updated with lots of photos, made sure Marty got her dinner, and took her on a walk. It was clear that she genuinely cared about her and treated her like her own. We would absolutely recommend her and will definitely book her again!”

“Ariel was fantastic with Shelby. She gave our very active dog all the attention, exercise, and care she needed. It was clear she was happy and well looked after. We felt completely at ease knowing she was in such good hands. Highly recommend!”

“Stefanie did a great job looking after our 3 cats while we were away! She provided lots of pictures/ videos and updates on how they did which made me feel that they were in great hands!”

“Anyah spent three days looking after our very shy cats and she took their standoffish nature in stride. She was communicative, organized, friendly, and punctual. Most importantly, she helped us out when we really needed a reliable pet sitter, and was unbelievable accommodating of our cats’ many quirks. We will absolutely be calling her first from now on.”

“Kelera was great! She played with our cats and gave great updates with photos and videos. I have an older cat that is scared of everything and she did her best to check in on her. Our younger cat was so excited for playing”

“Coretta always does such a wonderful job with our cat! We have now booked with her multiple times and our cat (who is not a huge fan of other people) really likes her. She is very conscientious about everything and making sure we know exactly how he is doing. She sends photos, detailed reports, and all of this gives us a lot of peace of mind knowing we will come back and find a happy cat (as we did this time as well). It is great that she is so responsive and helpful because it means we can leave him knowing that he will be in good hands with someone who truly cares about him. If you are looking for a good sitter who is going to take the time and effort to get to know your pet and who will take great care of them while you are away, we definitely recommend her!”

About: Taking care of animals when explaining what I do is a understatement. I’ve had animals all my life, whether feeding, caring, etc… I’m the one to do it. I simply just have a genuine passion for pets. I’d have one of my own but I’m in school. From bathing, grooming, walking… I literally do it all. So let me get to know your pet. I currently work a Part-Time job so I definitely have freedom and time to care for your pet. My days are a little wonky, but I communicate so that won’t be a problem. In my home, a dog is not a animal. It might as well be a human. I treat ANY pet with extreme care, putting them first before my own self. In a client’s home, it’s the same way, obviously with owners guidelines in mind… I’d make sure the dog is in great hands and care.
“Erica has babysat our cat Domino in our home several times now. Domino is a cat that we took several months to rescue earlier this year. Consequently, she is shy and a bit skittish around new people. She bonded with Erica almost immediately! Erica has two cats of her own, so she knows a lot about them and their finicky nature. Erica has a warm and caring nature that comes across in the way that she communicates with Domino. She calls Domino her niece! Erica is fastidious with Domino’s litter box and feeds her twice daily. She sends us regular posts and updates regarding Domino’s antics. Erica spends time with Domino and plays with her. We miss Domino when we are gone, but never worry that she will be too lonely without us. We feel secure when we are away. We trust Erica with having the keys to our home. We have the utmost confidence that Erica will take great care of our fur baby.”

I have 10+ years of experience working with dogs, including special needs and senior dogs. I also have 10+ years of working with children. I have a lot of patience. I have 2 dogs., Zoe, a Shih Tzu Maltese and Shuri a Cockapoo. I make sure that I am flexible with the needs of the fur babies I care for. I establish a routine that works well for everyone. While I do work, I am not far away and someone is usually home to give potty breaks mid day. I pride myself on working with families to make sure everyone is happy and ensure that extra snuggles and 1 on 1 is given if I am boarding multiple dogs. I have a secure fenced in backyard to allow your fur baby to get their zoomies out. I know how to properly secure your fur baby within their harness, collar and leash. On the occasion that I need to step out I will ensure they are safe in an XXL crate, or the crate you provide. I do NOT provide care to specific breeds, including but not limited to, pit bulls, bullies, Rottweiler, German shepherds, Cane Corsos, Presa Canarios, ASTs, etc. I work a FT teacher but with that comes a teacher schedule! I'm flexible and have several off days, such as holidays, which allows me the flexibility to care for your babies during peak seasons. We have a fenced in yard that is secured by 2 locked gates. I like to go off of a similar, if not the same routine that they are used to. I send lots of pictures and videos and try to have mini photoshoots of your babies if they allow! :). We treat every fur baby as our own so much they never want to leave.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Phoenix
I give Iman 5 stars times 20. This is my first time using Rover and I selected Iman for home drop in visits for the week I was on work related travel. To say I was nervous is an understatement. However, from the time I met Iman I knew she was the right choice. I perceived her to be a gentle, compassionate and honest person. This was important to me considering the temperament of my fur babies. One is a rescue due to abuse and none have ever been border and I wanted them to stay in the comfort of their own home. Yes I got that vibe from just meeting her. Very positive ora and energy. Iman exceeded my expectation. My 4 fur babies took to her right away and she cared for them as I would. You can tell this is not just work for Iman it’s what she loves. She absolutely has a love for and way with animals.t antisocial cats were even drawn to her. She made sure the house was locked and secured each time and that the alarm was set. I will definitely continue to utilize her services for my fur babies. I can’t express my gratitude enough for having such an amazing and outstanding sitter. Also, they loved her dog food. ❤️

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
