“Amber saved our lives when we needed a last-minute sitter for our little Ebi. She was lovely when we dropped her off, and we could tell how much she loves dogs. She was very communicative all day, sending pictures and keeping us updated on how Ebi was doing 😊 She’s actually taking care of Ebi for two days in a row.”

About: “Dogs do speak, but only to those who know how to listen.”– Orhan Pamuk Peace of mind is everything while you are away. I will provide tons of updates and pictures for you to rest assured your baby is in good hands. Many of my clients return again and again, it’s the greatest compliment! I am a compassionate, flexible, reliable pet sitter that will treat your doggie like family. You can feel secure, knowing your pet is in safe, loving hands while you are away. If your pet requires any type of special needs or medication, you can rely on my experience. I have a house with a fully fenced in back yard. I keep my bookings very limited and only accept overlapping puppers when they’re a calm, proven fit. They will get the extra attention they deserve while also having a couple of canine playmates! I work from home so I am able to give your baby full attention, exercise and snuggles all day every day. They will have plenty of socialization and company. I have always loved animals of every kind. I have taken care of dogs for the past 20 years through myself or friends. I have raised & trained my sweet senior Doberman from 8 weeks old. I also have a rescue, a sweet senior Pomeranian that I have had for the past 11 years. In our free time we love going to the lake, camping, picnics in the parks, car rides, the dog park and the occasional pup cup! We would be thrilled for you to allow us to watch your sweet baby and go on adventures with us! I am always extremely flexible to fit you and your pet’s needs and schedule. I work from home so your fur baby will have constant companionship, mental, and physical exercise! I have a fully fenced in backyard and two very friendly dogs to keep them company and have fun-time playmates. We go out to potty at least every 1-2 hours. I also have a large and small crate for dogs that are crate trained unless you’d like to bring your own. I have a separate fully insured $1M policy for your peace of mind.
“Our dog's stay with Jim went well. When we first arrived, Stella was nervous being in a new home with strange dogs. But Jim quickly put her at ease - she relaxed within a few minutes. Jim is definitely a dog person. When I picked Stella up, she was as happy as could be.”

“Rachel and her family were fantastic with my energetic 1.5 yo Barbet, DollyP🌸! Rachel was very accommodating! I needed to make a last minute change in my schedule and she was willing to keep Miss DollyP several hours after our agreed upon pickup time! Thankful! Highly recommend her and her family!”

About: 🐾 Welcome! Hello! You can call me Wendy. I’m a tenured physics professor and a lifelong animal lover with many years of experience caring for both dogs and cats. I understand how important it is to find someone you trust to care for your pets while you’re away. 🐶 Exclusive Boarding – ONE Dog or ONE Family at a Time! Unlike boarding environments with multiple unfamiliar dogs, I welcome only ONE dog or ONE family’s dogs at a time. I never mix dogs from different households. Your pets will enjoy a peaceful, comfortable home environment with plenty of individual attention, affection, and care. They can relax, follow their familiar routines, and feel right at home. My goal is to make their stay feel like a little vacation in a loving home, rather than a boarding facility! 🐱 What About My Three Cats? I have three cats of my own, but they live in a dedicated sunroom that is completely separate from the main living areas of the house. Your dogs can enjoy the home without interacting with my cats. There’s no need to worry about your dog getting along with cats! ❤️ Experienced, Patient & Personalized Care I have experience caring for senior pets and understand the importance of routines, medication schedules, and paying close attention to changes in behavior and health. I’m patient, reliable, and detail-oriented. Whether your pet is young and energetic or older and needs extra patience and gentle care, I treat every pet as if they were my own. My goal is simple: a safe, happy, home-away-from-home experience for your pets and peace of mind for you! As a professor, I bring professionalism, responsibility, and strong communication to every pet-sitting job. My schedule is especially flexible during evenings, weekends, holidays, and university breaks. Whether you need house sitting, drop-in visits, dog walking, feeding, litter box cleaning, or care for senior pets, I will treat your pets and home with the same care and respect I give my own.

About: Hello! Hope you are doing well and blessed. I’m a college student home for the summer looking to make money for when I go back. I’ve taken care of all kinds of dogs my entire life which I adore so i figured what better job? I’m home for the summer from college so I will have a lot of time to watch the dogs. I’m currently trying to find another job. I have a small fenced in yard and it’s not a huge dog area but there’s lots of nice parks and good walking areas to take the dogs.
About: Although we currently only have one female dog, we have nearly always had 2 large dogs (Chesapeake bay retrievers) for the past 20 years. We lost our big guy in April 2024 and haven't had it in us to get another. So, we are ready to share our home and yard with your pup! I currently stay home with my two year old human and 7 year old dog. So, your dog will rarely ever be alone while boarded. We mostly just leave for my older kids sports events. I have a fully fenced acre for a backyard. It's a dog's paradise! I also have a female 7yo Chesapeake who is good with other dogs. I can keep dogs separate as needed. We have fostered before and had 0 issues. We generally keep dogs separated until they have proven compatible. She sleeps with our son. So, your dog could sleep with me. We have three kids, ages 2, 11, and 13. So, if you have a kid loving dog, we want to watch them!
“Chris is as great as always. We’re always at peace when Summer is with him. For anyone who is looking for a reliable and knowledgeable sitter on Rover, look no further, Chris is your guy!!!”

About: I cared for (and spoiled) many relatives' pets when they went on vacation through the years. I also lovingly cared for my elderly parents for over a decade. I am a creative and crafty person, and I enjoy painting, sewing, and gardening. Being home most of the time, I would enjoy the company of furry friends! I only use natural cleaning solutions in my home; pets are provided filtered water. Common sense safety precautions that would be taken with any pet or with small children are implemented.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Peytona commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in KY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
