“Ryan is amazing! He stayed with our dog for 4 days and shared lots of pictures. He worked around our schedule and took such good care of our pup. He also took out the trash, brought in our mail, and washed the linens he used before he left - way more than we asked for. We will definitely hire him again! Thank you, Ryan!!!”

“Allie is responsible, trustworthy, and checked in with us daily! She took excellent care of our pup and our home for one week. We are delighted to have met her and hope she will dog and home sit for us again in the future!”

“She's an incredibly sweet person and our animals loved her. We trusted her to watch over our house for a weekend without really knowing her which made us a little nervous, but she is very trustworthy and sent update photos throughout the weekend of our babies enjoying their time. Highly recommend Kaeli 👍”

About: I have experience caring for dogs of different breeds, sizes, and personalities. I understand the importance of keeping pets on their normal routines and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or simply providing companionship, I give every pet the attention they deserve. I am dependable, patient, and attentive to each pet’s individual needs. My goal is to treat every pet like they are my own and provide owners with peace of mind while they are away. I can work most of the time and have a very flexible schedule, especially during the weeks before I leave for college this fall. This allows me to dedicate plenty of time to pet care, including feeding, walks, exercise, playtime, and companionship. I am reliable, organized, and committed to making sure pets receive consistent attention, care, and affection while they are with me. Safety is always my top priority. I carefully follow all instructions provided by pet owners, including feeding schedules, medication needs, exercise requirements, and any special care requests. I maintain a clean and secure environment, monitor pets closely during walks and playtime, and make sure they always have access to fresh water and a comfortable space to relax. I focus on building trust with both pets and owners by providing dependable, attentive, and compassionate care.
“Sandra exceeded our expectations by a mile! We have two 6 month old Golden Retriever puppies who are a lot of work and Sandra handled their care with ease! We received morning and evening updates with plenty of pictures to relieve our anxiety from leaving them. One of our puppies needed two daily medications and Sandra was very prompt with their med schedule. She provided daily walks and was always there to let them outside to run around and play and give them plenty of love. When we returned from our trip we had daily notes on what the boys were up to, any new behaviors or just new funny quirks they developed. We also were able to see the spreadsheets she brought verifying the walks and meals they were given. Our house was left very clean and tidy and so were the puppies! It’s not even a question, we will most definitely be using Sandra in the future!!”

“Kaitlyn was an excellent care giver and companion to my senior pup. Kaitlyn made wonderful suggestions and accommodations to Lacey’s diet. Lacey was well-loved. 🥰In addition, she was conscientious in ensuring the house stayed neat.”

“Initially booked for boarding, however Tabitha’s dog and ours was incompatible. Tabitha allowed us to do a meet and greet prior to boarding which was very nice. Tabitha agreed to come over to our house two to three times a day to take Tango for a walk and provided pictures. Also very nice. Tabitha understood the reasons why we felt uncomfortable with boarding and was professional during the situation.”

About: I have experience working with dogs and myself have owned dogs all my life. I frequently pet sit for friends and family, staying a week at a time in a few cases. I’m more than willing to stay overnight with your pets to keep them company when you’re gone! I’m willing to prepare meals for your pets if they are on a diet so long as you provide me with clear instructions and ingredients. I will care for “aggressive” dogs and provide senior pet care, including oral medication and bedtime routines. I am currently available 24/7. Morning afternoon evening and night! I will of course prioritize my own dogs, but currently I am able to go where I am needed! I will spend time socializing with your pets to ensure they don’t feel neglected while you’re gone, I adore all kinds of dogs and cats. If you have any other pets in the home I’ll gladly take care of them too, including small rodents, ferrets, reptiles, fish, and amphibians!
“I have a very, VERY anxious dog that gets nervous around new people very easily. From theoment she walked into the house for a meet and greet, Misty did everything she could to make Freyja (my dog) comfortable with a new person. I know this worked because Freyja eventually let Misty take her out for a whole walk around the neighborhood. A privilege very few people ever get.”

About: As a child and young adult I grew up with a family dog and cat of my own. I know what the genuine bond and love feels like between an animal and their owner having experienced it myself. In addition, when I was younger I helped out on a family farm during the summers so I do have experience being around and working with different animals. I work as a teacher during the school calendar year but my schedule is completely free during our summer break. As such, I am mostly looking to provide pet care during the work week M-F but I am also willing to discuss weekend options if needed and if provided notice in advance. I can feed, walk and play with your dogs when you are away! I can also crate them if needed. If there are any other services you would like to discuss, I am open to hearing them.
“Penny was excellent with the full day care of our two dogs, one being blind. She sent numerous pics throughout the day . Carried our blind dog out to go and walk outside a bit, played with our GSD. We will definitely use her again, she is a professional and very caring.”

“First time user and had an amazing experience! Sent pictures and kept in contact regular! And, as a pet owner, you can tell by the expression on their face if they enjoy that person! Came home to a cleaner house than when we left! Highly recommend him and fully intend to book with him again! Five stars is not enough to express my gratitude!”

“Lauren was great taking care of out young, energetic, and silly German Shorthaired Pointer. She showed up on time, followed instructions, asked questions when needed, and sent daily updates with photos. She also left the house organized and clean. We can tell our dog likes her too 🥰🐾🐕🦺”

“Teri was wonderful. She took amazing care of our dog. Our dog warmed up to her quickly. Teri left the house super clean. She was in communication via text while we were gone, just to send a pic/update on our dog which we loved. Absolutely would book again.”

“Hallie was so great!! We felt so comfortable being away from our pup for a few days as she kept us updated with pictures and was great with communication! We came home to a very happy dog 😊”

As of August 2026, there are 727 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Perry Crossing. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Perry Crossing walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Perry Crossing maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Perry Crossing choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Perry Crossing. On Rover:
- 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 99% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
