About: Hi there! I’m a high school physical educator with a passion for staying active and healthy. While I don’t have a furry friend of my own right now, I’ve grown up surrounded by pets and absolutely love spending time with them! I understand the importance of care, attention, and exercise for your fur babies, and I’d love the opportunity to provide that for them when you need a helping hand. Whether it’s a fun walk, playtime, or just cuddling up, I’m here to ensure your pet is well taken care of and enjoys their time with me. Let’s give your pets the love and attention they deserve! I just recently lost my sweet boy, who was very elderly. I took care of him daily to clean his ears, help him up and down stairs, as well as helping him eat. I have a very wide experience of taking care of pups! I currently working full-time as a physical educator, as well as a volleyball coach. I am available evenings and weekends all day! If I board your pups, I live right by my work place which allows me to stop in and let them out through out the day and give them attention! With a genuine love for animals and a deep understanding of their unique needs, I offer personalized pet care services both in your home and in mine. Whether it's a walk, playtime, feeding, or just some extra TLC, I strive to make sure your pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved in every environment. In your home, I maintain your pet's daily routine, ensuring they feel secure and at ease. I provide familiar surroundings and consistent care, reducing the stress of your absence. From feeding schedules to special needs, I tailor my services to meet their individual requirements. When your pet stays with me, they are treated like family. My home is a pet-friendly space where your furry friends can relax, play, and enjoy a comfortable environment while you're away. I offer plenty of attention, exercise, and love, making sure they feel right at home in a safe, cozy space.
“Jessica spoiled our 2 senior boys while we were on vacation. Being able to keep them at home where they are comfortable was great! She made sure they went out to potty before the storms arrived, and left our home in great condition. Giving meds and keeping them on a feeding schedule was no problem for Jessica!”

“Stephanie did an excellent job of taking care of my cat while I went on vacation. She sent updates and pictures to me while I was gone. She completely won over my cat. I highly recommend Stephanie and will definitely book her again for my next trip.”

“Shannon did a great job. Our pups were well cared for and loved on. Upon meeting them she immediately got on the floor and played with both puppies. She communicated effectively and we would hire her again!”

About: I have extensive experience caring for animals, as I’ve had pets in my home since I was a baby. Growing up around pets taught me responsibility at a young age, including feeding, grooming, cleaning, and making sure animals feel safe and comfortable. Over the years, I’ve cared for a variety of pets and have become very attentive to their needs, behaviors, and routines. I understand how important it is to provide not just basic care, but also companionship, patience, and love. My lifelong experience has made me confident in handling different personalities and ensuring pets are well cared for while their owners are away. I am a full time college student and work a part time job as a server. Most of my availability is in the mornings on weekdays and weekends as needed. I am a reliable and caring pet sitter with extensive experience providing private pet care for families. Over time, I’ve built trust with pet owners by consistently showing up on time, following specific care instructions, and treating every pet as if they were my own. I’ve cared for pets with different routines, temperaments, and needs, which has made me adaptable and attentive in any situation. Whether it’s feeding, walking, administering basic care, or simply spending quality time with pets, I always prioritize their comfort, safety, and happiness while their owners are away.
About: Loving and caring for animals is truly what I enjoy and love. I am very comfortable around all animals considering I grew up around dogs, cats, cows, horses my entire life while currently owning three dogs, three cats, and a horse. I have been pet sitting for people in my home town for many years. *This is my full time job while being here at KSU for college so other than classes here and there I am free during the day and almost always at night so animals will rarely ever be left alone. I am almost always available and am always around Manhattan. Feel free to message me for last minute bookings if during the week days only! My name is Addy and I am from the Lawrence KS area. I am currently attending KSU as a freshman. I have worked at multiple horse boarding facilities and almost on all holidays have taking care of pets for people in my hometown, which I am now wanting to continue doing here during the school year. I am also currently majoring in animal science production management side. Loving and caring for animals is truly my life and I do not take anything about it lightly the trust that somebody puts into me to provide a safe and loving enviorment for there pets is super important to me because I myself have fur babies that I am very particular with and always want to make sure they will be taken care of correctly when I am away. I am a freshman in college this year at ksu and have plenty of free time during the day and night to come over and watch your animals! I have two classes sometimes three during the day but all of my days are pretty flexible except Monday when I have two classes and a lab. While being up here at KSU and not being able to see all of my fur babies I would love to come and see yours and provide all the care they need to them! I have two puppies, one old dog, three cats, and a horse back at home. I am very good with animals. I would love to come hangout with your fur babies while you are gone or busy at work! I have worked at three horse boarding facilities so I know what it is like to make sure the care is perfect for peoples animals. I enjoy taking care of animals and making them feel loved and safe, I would love to provide that for your pet.

About: I have always had a big heart for all dogs. They truly are man’s best friends! I grew up with 2 dogs of my own, Melbee and Reese. I watched and helped care for them in the crazy puppy and teething stages, the feisty teenager stage, all the way up into the little old lady stage. They were the most loving, sweet dogs and I miss them so much. I think every dog deserves all the love, head scratches, and snuggles in the world and would love to be there for your dogs when you are taking a vacation or will be away! I helped both my dogs with training for emotional therapy support and was there for both puppy potty training courses! I do work Monday - Friday from home, but I am available as early in the morning as you need and then I am avalible after work. If your dog is older and able to come stay at my apartment, I can watch them during my workday! I am also free on the weekends to stop by and care for your baby as much as you need! My apartment complex does not have a fenced yard, however, they do have tons of open space for dogs to play in, lots of walking paths, and are considered to be very pet friendly! There is more than enough space for your dog to get all the walkies and play time they need. In your own home, I will make sure to keep everything exactly the way you need, clean up after both the dogs and myself, and keep your home in top notch condition. I know dogs can get messy sometimes so If you show me where the vacuum is, I will get right to work! Nothing is better than coming home to your favorite pet and a nice clean home!

About: I've had pets my whole life, and that is not limited to just cats and dogs. A guinea pig I was gifted as a young child ignited my love and passion for living creatures. Since then I've loved animals of all shapes and sizes. I’ve worked at a pet store as their go-to animal care woman. I’ve cared for small mammals and reptiles and LOTS of fish. I've always, always had cats and dogs at home, including now. I've worked for other dog walking and daycare companies, and I have experience with dogs of all shapes and sizes, from an 80-pound dane mix to a 15-pound French bulldog. I haven't met an animal yet that I didn't learn to love. I'm not a squeamish person, so whatever you need me to do for your pet, I will do my absolute best. Thank you for considering me to take care of your best friend - whatever form they may take. Although I’d love to be able to do this full time, I do have to work around my day job. That leaves me available Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday most weeks. I will update my schedule if I get a day off. I will always be fully alert to your pets needs. Food, water, potty, bath. You name it, I can do it. I have years of experience with all types of animals under my belt.

I understand how important it is to maintain your pet’s normal routine, so I follow all instructions carefully regarding feeding schedules, exercise, medications, and any special needs. I also make sure your home is kept clean, secure, and exactly as you left it. Having owned dogs my entire life, I know that pets thrive when they feel comfortable and cared for. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, and stress-free experience for your pets while giving you peace of mind when you’re away

FAQs for House Sitting - Peoria
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 292 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Peoria. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Peoria walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Peoria maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Peoria choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Peoria. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
