About: My family adopted a 10 month old rescue pup, Charlie, when I was 7 years old. For the 12 years that I got to spend with him he was my best friend. Although he was stronger than me the first few years of his life, I was still involved in his training and feeding care until I was big enough to take him out and walk him. Once I could handle him, I took him out, walked him, and helped give baths. As an adult, I have done multiple pet-sitting jobs for neighbors and family friends. I have taken care of dogs and cats of all ages. My job experience includes retail, landscaping, and food/bar service. Working late nights in downtown Blacksburg, I have become keen at cleaning up messes of all kinds. This summer, my schedule is wide open! I play pool a couple of nights a week, but that doesn't last for more than a few hours and I can always go late/leave early to get back to the pets. When the school year starts, I will schedule pet sitting around my class schedule. I am equipped to handle dogs of almost any size on a leash, and I love to play fetch in a yard/at the park. I can keep food and water bowls clean and full, I can crate dogs if needed, and I can keep a litter box clean!

About: Hi there! My name is Lacy, I've taken care of all different shapes and sizes of pets since I was very young. I worked at a doggy day care for a year, as well as a dog walking company in Los Angeles where I took 5-6 dogs at a time for walks/hikes. I have some experience with simple obedience training, such as proper leash manners and basic commands like sit, stay, wait & come. About: I've been taking care of dogs, both my own and others, since I was 13! I have also volunteered at animal shelters, where I played with dogs, took them on walks, and engaged with them. I am currently a full-time student at Virginia Tech. My availability during the week varies, but I will always make time to care for your pet! I can do whatever you request! About: I've grown up surrounded by animals my entire life, and that hands-on experience is what truly sets me apart. I was raised with three cats (2 indoor, 1 outdoor), caring for them from kittenhood all the way through end-of-life care, including demanding daily routines and administering medication. I also have two dogs of my own: a Mini Australian Shepherd I raised from a puppy and personally trained. He’s so smart he keeps me on my toes, which means I know exactly how to handle high-energy, high-drive breeds and the escape artists of the dog world. The other is a large pitty mix we adopted at age two who came to us with leash pulling, reactivity, excessive barking, and rough play habits, all of which I've worked through and successfully managed. I know how to confidently handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments. Beyond cats and dogs, I've owned two guinea pigs, a hamster, and fish, so I understand the specific and often overlooked needs of small pets too. I've also assisted my sister in fostering cats, many of whom were shy, post-surgical, or required medication and special feeding instructions, so I'm completely comfortable with pets that need a little extra patience and TLC. Most recently, I pet sat a kitten over spring break 2026, and I'm always happy to sit for other pet owners' animals as well. As a sophomore in Alpha Chi Omega, I bring the same reliability, respect, and communication to pet sitting that I bring to everything I do. I treat every pet as if they were my own, follow your routines to the letter, and love keeping owners in the loop with regular updates, photos, and videos, as often as you'd like. If you're looking for someone experienced, trustworthy, and genuinely passionate about animals, I'm your person! I currently only have one exam left, so my schedule is essentially wide open! I'm in Blacksburg and available May 9–12 and May 16–22, with virtually nothing on my plate during those windows. Whether you need someone for a full house sit, multiple check-ins throughout the day, early morning visits, or late night drop-ins, I can make it work. Flexibility is my strong suit right now, so don't hesitate to reach out no matter the timing or frequency! I'm happy to care for pets both in my home and in yours! For in-home sitting and visits at your place, I'm completely comfortable following whatever routine, rules, and setup you have in place, your home, your way. Just note that I live in an apartment, so I don't have a fenced-in yard, but my complex has a dog park and is surrounded by beautiful neighborhood nature trails that are perfect for walks and exploring. I'd also ask that you send everything your pet needs along with them (crate, food/water bowls, bed, toys, leash, etc.) so they have the comfort of their own familiar belongings, which is honestly better for them anyway!

There could be exceptions that come up, but I’ll always confirm timing in advance and stick closely to your pet’s usual feeding and walk schedule. Since I care for pets in your home, I treat your space with respect and follow your instructions to the letter. I keep doors and gates secured, always leash dogs before heading out, and stay alert to each pet’s comfort and body language. I lock up when I leave and send photo updates so you know everyone’s safe and happy.

About: Growing up with large breeds (Bernese Mountain Dog & German Shepard), I’ve always been a lover of all pets, especially dogs. Since relocating to Blacksburg area for work 8 years ago, I’ve pet sat for a variety of animals in the region, ranging from puppies to senior dogs with specific medical needs. It would be an honor to meet and care for your pets! I work full time at VT with some remote days per week, so it can be a flexible schedule. About: I can’t remember a time where I didn’t have a pet growing up. I have a cavalier who is 4 years old and is spoiled rotten. We got her at 8 weeks. We crate trained her and have also taught her other tricks. I have also kept friends and family member’s pets. If your pet stays with us, they can expect to be cuddled, played with, and have full bellies! I’m a stay at home, so my schedule is very flexible. Our cavalier goes on daily walks; has interactive playtime; and goes out to potty at least 3-4 times a day. Our dog is always leashes outside due to no fenced in yard. Dog parks ore our best friend for our dog to get some running in. Your dog won’t get lonely here.

About: I have had a dog for 8 years and have taken care of him. In addition, I have interacted with many different kinds of dogs and volunteer at the Roanoke and Montgomery County shelters. I currently attend college, but whenever I am home I take care of my dog. I take care of him daily, and I pay attention to his needs I walk my dog, feed him, give him water, play with him, brush him, clean and moisturize his paws, and make sure he is up to date on medications

About: Hello! My name is Hayley and I am an animal lover of all kinds. I had a chihuahua for 14.5 years until I had to say goodbye to him in august of 2024. Since then I have found joy in helping others take care of their furry family members. My Pedro was special needs so I am comfortable giving meds or helping with disabled animals as well. I promise to take care of your babies just like they are my own! Same day bookings and short notice bookings will be dependent on my full time work schedule as I work 3 twelve hour night shifts a week but please always reach out as I may be available! I am also willing to pet sitting for other animals like chickens, hedgehogs, etc. Just ask!! I am a full time night shift nurse so my schedule is crazy but allows me to spend the days with your pet. I am also able to get several days in a row off and spend 24/7 with your pet, if scheduled within enough time! If selected, I would treat your baby as if they are my own and would go above abd beyond in caring for them. I am unable to bring pets to my home but am more than happy to care for them in the comfort of their own homes.
