“They took amazing care of my dog for over two weeks! Daily walks and lots of picture updates every day. He looked happy and well taken care of. Very satisfied and would highly recommend!”

“Oralee always takes such good care of my dogs. It’s a good feeling when you can go away and know that your dogs are being loved and playing with their doggy friends and that they are having so much fun. I love the pictures she sends daily. They help the kids not miss them so much. I highly recommend Oralee. I’m so grateful I found her.”

“Lexie was very communicative about how Molly was doing which gave me great peace of mind. I know without a doubt that Molly was well loved during her stay. Unfortunately, Molly tried to dig out of the fence and so her outside time was limited for her safety. I’m hopeful that Molly’s digging behavior will begin to lessen as she becomes more comfortable in her forever home, and I’m hopeful she can stay again in the future. Thank you, Lexie!”

“Yolanda was wonderful! Took exceptional care of our bashful senior pup. Great at communication and flexibility, also offers grooming options, which was fabulous to know, since we dont have a groomer locally :) fully recommend, and we will use her again!”

“Therio and family were great with my girl! They took her on walks updated pics with me and spoiled her! Even Apollo enjoyed her company. Thanks for keeping Olivia last minute.”

“Cory & Stacey are wonderful! They kept my 100+lb lab for three nights recently and were and absolute pleasure to work with. This team was not only accommodating to my big boy, but they were great about sending pics and updates- allowing me to vacation with family worry-free. Having used commercial kennels previously, this was my first experience using Rover or sitters. What a great discovery! I would highly recommend the duo of Cory & Stacey to anyone that needs overnight pet accommodations! You guys rock!! Thanks for a great experience!!”

“Our pup had a wonderful stay with Karen! She did such a great job of making sure she was walked and had a chance to get all her energy out! She did a great job with our very active puppy!”

“This is my first time using a private sitter & it went okay. My dog Kobe is adjusting to being home, I’m military & Aiko was very patient with him despite his not so great behavior towards others dogs. She kept me updated with detailed information about his behavior along with pictures for the weekend stay. She gave my dog the attention he needed & let me know what she thought would be best for him moving forward. You should definitely book her if you need a dog sitter.”
“Michelle was very pleasant and patient with my dog, who is not accustomed to people outside of our family. When we arrived, she made sure she understood all of our preferences regarding eating, sleeping, and socializing. Throughout our time away, she sent pictures and text updates on how my dog was adjusting. When we picked Max up, he was clean, calm, and doing great overall. A great experience!”

“This is the first time that I used the app Rover and we chose to leave our dog with Margie. That was the best decision that I made! She took good care of him and our dog fell in love with her. Thank you Margie!”

“Kathy took excellent care of our 2 dogs over the holiday weekend! They got lots of playtime and outside time, and they were both nice and tired by the time we picked them up! She sent a couple of pictures and a couple of updates. Just enough to let us know our dogs were doing well. One of my dogs is older with some arthritis, and she made sure he got all of his medicines and had a safe space to rest when he got tired out. Would definitely recommend!”

“Whitney did an incredible job! My dog came home super happy, extremely clean (not an eye booger in sight!), and I could tell she was well-loved by everyone in her family. <3”

“Nontombe was really good with our 3 year old Havanese (14 lb). She sent pics and videos everyday and he was happy and content. He was able to socialize with a dog his size and looked like he was having a ball. Very appreciative of her keeping us informed. We will definitely leave him again.”

“Kira was wonderful. She watched our three Dogs for 5 days. They were well cared for and loved being there. She definitely loves dogs. I will definitely use her again if the need arises.”

“Amazing experience, extremely communicative and easy to work with could not have asked for a better sitter. My dogs were very happy upon pick up and my dogs love playing with her puppy.”

“The visit went extremely well. She sent me pictures and videos of Max daily. He was very happy with Niagara. I definitely would recommend her and use her myself again”

“This was our first time boarding Diesel so we didn't know what to expect. Gina was great with answering questions and sending daily pictures. We will definitely use her again in the future.”

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
