About: I have lived with dogs my whole life- from Chihuahuas to Great Danes. I have trained puppies (am currently doing so now) and cared for the sweetest senior dogs. I have a large home and yard, free of children but with one friendly puppy. I am very patient and loving, and will appreciate any animal personality I am presented with. I have a smaller fenced in area off my back door. I am available for all services anytime on weekends but also work from home on Mondays. I’m available for walks and drop-in visits each week night after 4, and sometimes during my lunch break if you happen to live near downtown Montpelier! I frequently bring dogs for leashed walks throughout their time with me, whether its around my large yard or somewhere new like a bike path. I do not provide a crate but rather try to mostly stay with a dog throughout the duration of their stay, and allow them full access to my home at all times. I like to treat them as family but also do whatever will make them feel most comfortable and secure.

“Cindy was extremely flexible in boarding our German Shepherd for a week at the last minute. Her two dogs got along well with our dog and they loved to play together. She sent us lots of pictures. “We were so happy to find someone who is fear free certified & uses positive reinforcement and were thrilled when Maria let us know she was available to watch our 7 month old puppy on short notice. Our puppy had never been alone or away from us so we were very nervous but when we arrived at Maria’s home, we were put at ease when she let him approach her vs. coming over to greet him as he can be a bit shy at first. Our pup took to Maria fairly quickly and once we went inside, Maria introduced her dog Lalo. Lalo was very sweet and so patient with our pup who was extremely excited to have a friend to play with. We were worried our pup would have a hard time with us leaving but we were actually able to sneak out the door/leave while our pup played with Lalo! Our pup is a high energy breed and Maria made sure he got both physical and mental stimulation by bringing him on several walks and offering a Kong. He slept almost the whole 3 hour drive home! We received our first update from Maria shortly after we dropped off our pup and she continued to send frequent updates and texted back very quickly - again putting our worries at ease! We would absolutely recommend Maria and if we are ever in the area again, utilize her services!”

“Ally was so friendly and clearly competent with dogs. She lives on a long rural street and her beautiful property is awesome for dogs. She has a great safe penned area for the dogs to play. I was running late on both sides and she was exceptionally easy going about it, even bringing my dog home for me. You really couldn't ask for anything more when looking for someone to take care of your dog.”

She not only kept us well up to date with their day to day items but since our dog has been battling some illness, she ensured Toodles was up on her meds, attentive to her needs, and even made special at home accommodations to help her feel a bit better. We know our dog can sometimes be a handful and Paige took her on as her own so we were able to have the utmost confidence being away and feel at ease knowing she was in perfect hands. During our dogs stay she was super attentive to his needs and sent great updates and photos. Both she and Alexander took my pup on tons of walks and hikes, making sure he had ample exercise. About: I have been walking and pet sitting since I was younger. I would watch and walk my neighbors dog for them when they went away. I recently graduated from UVM with my B.S in animal science hoping to go to Vet school in the future. I have worked with more than just dogs and cats, but livestock too. I work at a vet clinic as a vet technician right now and walk/ pet sit for families in the area now. I work a full time job at a vet clinic but have availability before and after work, as well as weekends. My hours do vary on certain days so feel free to reach out regardless! I do have a good size backyard. It is not fenced in but I have do have 4.5 acres of land behind my house. There are also walk/hiking trails down the road from my house.
