“This was our second time using Jaclyn for our Vegas trip. She was perfect in every way and, most importantly, Charlotte really liked her. She was responsive, on time, flexible and responsible. Great choice!”

“Alexis was great! We had a last minute need to book a pet sitter and had some difficulty finding someone with all the dates open. We luckily found Alexis and she couldn’t have been more perfect. We did the meet and greet the day before leaving on our trip and knew immediately that we could count on her to be reliable compassionate with our dachshund. We could tell that he really liked her. She was very responsive in all communication and provided many great pics of our little guy while we were away. We will recommend her to our friends and make her our first choice for future bookings. Can’t say enough about her calm disposition and caring attitude. Thank-you, thank-you Alexis for being there when we needed you. Since we were away for a family death and funeral, knowing that we had someone as trustworthy as you to take care of our pet enabled us to focus on family and make the trip as best as it could.”

“This was our first pet/house sitting with Shauna and she was great! We have a small pack of dogs and Shauna suggested an initial meet and greet, which went fine. We also scheduled a refresher meet prior to the sitting date to ensure success. And no surprise, things went great! Shauna was great with communication throughout the entire process, was attentive to specific needs of the dogs, and took excellent care of our home. We look forward to Shauna caring for our pack again in the future! Thank you!”

“Christina did an amazing job watching Toby! He can definitely be difficult about coming out of his room and going outside to pee, but she was so patient and caring with him. I’d definitely use her again and would recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy to watch their pet!”

About: I’ve loved animals since I was young and have always been interested in becoming a veterinarian. I currently care for my three dogs, which has given me hands-on experience with feeding schedules, daily exercise, and basic training. I’ve taught two of my dogs commands like sit and spin, and I always make sure they get plenty of attention, playtime, and outdoor walks. I am available on weekends and during evenings, and I have flexible availability until I begin my new job. I am reliable, patient, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals of all kinds. I offer services such as dog walking, drop-in visits, and pet sitting. During my visits, I make sure pets are well cared for by providing fresh food and water, cleaning bowls, and spending quality time with them so they feel comfortable and safe. I also pay close attention to their behavior and needs to ensure they are always supervised and happy. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities, and I will treat them with the same care and attention as my own fur babies.
“Kimberly was wonderful! So reliable and attentive the entire time. She sent lots of photos and updates, which gave me so much peace of mind. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely book with her again! -Beth and Knox”

“Kaitlyn was on time, let me know how our dog was doing when she got there and sent us a full report when she was done which included some very cute pictures. As first time dog owners we were nervous about leaving her for this long and having someone come over but Kaitlyn put our minds at ease. I’ve already booked her for another drop in.”

“Emily was great! She treated my Tj like her own. I felt very comfortable and confident that he was well taken care of while I was away. Emily's communication was great and she sent photos of my dog regularly.”

About: I love pets and animals and have lots of experience! I pet sit for all my friends and coworkers as they say I have a special connection with their pets. Animals love me and I love them! Happy to watch young or senior pets, and have experience with exotic pets like reptiles and birds As a teacher, I have all federal holidays off as well as weekends. I’m in town otherwise, so I can dependably check in on animals over weekdays as well. I will always make sure to take good care of your pets in your home, and take care of your home as well! Homes are a special and sacred place and I will always respect your area. It is great to watch them in their own home as this is less stress for your pets!
About: I have been trusted since childhood to watch over my neighbors' pets and have experience with two pit bulls and countless cats. I don't mind giving medicine, as my senior cat took some for years. I work full-time during the week, but am free all weekend to give your furry friend some love. I am generally active, so walks in the morning and evening are not an issue and I can easily integrate them into my daily routine. I can easily crate pets, love to take daily walks, and play for about an hour or two with my own pets, so I do not mind addressing the needs of your pet based on their energy level.
About: Before I got my 2 pups, I have been taking care of fur friends around me from friends and family. Providing dog walking/jogs, bathing, dental care, feeding and play time! I am currently working part time. As my schedule is varies there is much room for flexible scheduling. Fur friend care is available weekends and evenings! I have a fenced back yard and 2 friendly furry friends. They’re also allowed indoors! Providing a safe and trusted environment is of no concern.
About: I am a fun, loving, outgoing individual that understands the needs of your furbaby. I have taken care of cats and dogs, puppies and kittens since I was 7 years old. I have trained my dad's Saint Bernard, and my own pitbull, and shitzhu so size does not matter. I am great with both cats and dogs. Both my cats and dogs get along with each other and we are all a happy loving family. I have some dog training videos of myself on Instagram where Oprah Winfrey's dog trainer liked a few of my videos. My neighbors and friends have relied on me to take care of their pets. I have fun with fur babies while maintaining a professional mannerism and a good example for all to benefit from my services. Having 3 cats and 2 dogs pet care is my life, I dont have any children so pets are my children. Pet care comes first in my house, so pet care is a huge part in my daily and weekly routine. I have a fenced yard with 2 large friendly dogs and 1 friendly little dog, so there is a perfect size buddy for your companion. I also have 2 cats and one small kitten. I feed my dogs only the best grain free food and treats and I have plenty of toys and games for the dogs to play. I feed the cats a different food than the kitten since the kitten needs special nourishment to grow. I take the dogs on a walk in the many acres of grape fields that reside across the street. The dogs are pack animals and they look to the alpha for protection and leading, I know how to fulfill and give dogs the enrichment they need. I understand the needs of dogs and cats very well and I am confident and trustworthy of every breed size and characteristic your fur baby may have. I have alot of energy and I love to be outdoors. My cats are strictly inside cats but I am working on making an outside cat enclosure so they can enjoy the outside in a safe manner.
“Asianna was great! She was prompt, and kept me updated on how my dog was doing. He's shy but she did a wonderful job of getting to know him. I will definitely be asking Asianna back in the future!”

About: I’ve cared for dogs of every kind since I was 10—big, small, shy, or extra wiggly! Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, and pamper their pets for years. Along the way, I’ve also cared for reptiles, birds, and other unique companions. Whether it’s a turtle that needs tank time, a parrot that loves to chat, or a pup who lives for belly rubs, I treat every pet like part of the family! I’m a college student with an open and flexible schedule, which means I have plenty of time to give your pets the love and attention they deserve! I’m available most weekdays, weekends, and holidays, and can easily adjust my hours to fit your pet’s routine. My home is spacious, cozy, and fully pet-friendly! I have plenty of toys, treats, bones, and comfy spots for pets to relax and play. While I don’t have a yard, I’m close to several beautiful dog parks and walking trails here in Clovis—perfect for daily walks and exercise. Pets in my care enjoy a safe, fun, and loving environment where they’re treated like part of the family.
About: Strays and lost dogs always seem to find me and of course I can never just leave them. I feel responsible to care for them like my own pet and do my best to find their true owners. I understand that love for our pets❤️ I am currently only working part time so I have plenty of time for you and your pets😊. I am available daily Monday - Friday. I have a fenced backyard and plenty of pet supplies for them. When walking I try to focus on only 1 or 2 dogs at a time so they can receive my full attention!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 479 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Parksdale. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Parksdale walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Parksdale maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Parksdale choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Parksdale. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
