“Elizabeth is very responsive. She took great care of my nervous pup and cat on short notice. She left the house cleaner than it was when she arrived, I think! We've already booked our next sit with Elizabeth and I look forward to having great peace of mind while we are gone.”

“My experience with Melody was fantastic she went above and beyond, truly the best pet sitting experience I have had. This was a super last minute booking after my previous sitter cancelled and she responded immediately and was willing to take over and show up instantly. She was super communicative and made me feel very comfortable, even going as far as giving me updates when she was leaving the house for less than 30 minutes. Not only did she send plenty of adorable photos of my cats but she cleaned up as well leaving my house in better shape than I left it. I would recommend Melody in a heartbeat she is the best.”

“Kelly went so above and beyond with our animals, we are so grateful we found her! She spent time with each and every one of our animals making sure they all felt comfortable. We won’t be going with any other sitter if we can help it in the future.”
About: I'm a lifelong dog lover with hands-on experience caring for my own two dogs, which has taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and understanding each dog's unique personality. With my second dog especially, I took an active role in training and behavior development, learning how to use positive reinforcement and establish routines that help dogs feel secure and happy. I regularly help friends by providing midday potty breaks and companionship for their dogs when they're at work or traveling. This has given me experience with different breeds, temperaments, and household routines. I understand how important it is to follow each pet's specific schedule, respect house rules, and provide the attention and exercise they're used to. I know that every dog is different - some need lots of playtime and stimulation, while others prefer quiet companionship. I'm comfortable with basic commands, can recognize signs of stress or discomfort, and always prioritize the pet's safety and well-being above all else. I currently work part-time, which gives me excellent flexibility for pet care services. I'm available every weekday after 3pm and have full availability on weekends. This schedule works perfectly for dog walks, evening pet visits, and weekend pet sitting when families are traveling. My part-time work arrangement means I can be consistent and reliable with your pet's routine. Whether you need daily walks, midday check-ins, or weekend care, I can accommodate regular schedules and provide the consistency that pets thrive on. I'm also available for last-minute requests when my schedule allows. I understand that pets need care even when their families are working full days, and my afternoon and weekend availability is ideal for busy pet parents who want to ensure their furry family members get attention and exercise while they're away. During pet check-ins, I focus on making sure each animal gets the individual attention and care they need. I always let dogs spend as much time outside as they want - whether that's a quick potty break or a longer play session in the yard. I pay attention to their energy level and preferences that day. I believe quality time is just as important as meeting basic needs, so I make sure to engage with each pet through play, cuddles, or simply keeping them company. For more active dogs, I'm happy to take them on short walks during my visit to give them extra exercise and mental stimulation. I follow the specific instructions and routines that pet parents provide, but I also adapt to what the pet seems to need in the moment. Some days they might want to play fetch, other days they just want someone to sit with them. I always make sure they have fresh water, food if needed, and that they seem comfortable and content before I leave. I provide updates to pet parents so they know how their furry family member is doing, including any highlights from our time together.
About: I started taking care of animals when I was really young I think around 6 years old I would take care of my neighbor's dog was a little Pomeranian when they would go places. Also my neighbor had a Irish setter that I would go visit all the time and she would give me a dollar to walk her around the block or talking at least 48 years ago and I still remember it to this day it was one of the best times in my life when I was young. I think I've decided that I want to dedicate my life to this I mean what's left of it anyway lol I've been working with people most of my life and I thought I'd give this a try so daily routine and weekly routine would be up to the customer and it would be your preference after all you're the boss right? I've been a caregiver since 1998 of people I had five background checks last year for the state of Oregon I work for Oregon health Care commission and I'm a caregiver I passed five of them so you would not have to worry about me being in your home I would offer the services that you were requesting and you would also go beyond even more than what you would expect I think I would be a good fit with for anybody I'm an older lady and I've got a lot of grandchildren so I figured taking care of your for a babies and I would treat them like my grandbabies or you would say fur babies. Customer would be my boss so therefore I would do what they would ask.
“McKenna was amazing! This was my first time leaving my pups home for the weekend and having someone come house sit. McKenna helped put my mind at ease when we did the meet and greet. One of my pups left an unexpected surprise (my pup threw a tantrum and destroyed a furniture) for McKenna and she was so nice and cleaned it up for me. I came home to happy pups and I would recommend her. I’d have her back!”

About: I have two cats at home and frequently pet-sit for friends & neighbors in the area. I have always had at least one cat in my home, and at one point lived with two miniature Australian Shepherds. I’m currently working part-time and have plenty of time in my schedule. I typically work 5 hours per day, 3-5 days per week, sometimes weekends. I am accustomed to following meal and medication schedules for pets, as well as monitoring a cat on a leash outside or walking a dog twice per day. When walking dogs, I stick to the established route and avoid other dogs.
“Our second time booking Alyssa and it was just as great as the first. She’s so patient with our little rescue Chiweenie and will absolutely be our go-to sitter going forward. I’d give her 100 stars if I could. ❤️”

About: I've taken care of dogs of many sizes for quick trips and extended stays. I have experience working with puppies and elderly dogs, in addition to dogs with special needs. I'm happy to water plants or take care of a garden too! I am starting classes in late September, so until then, I'm all yours! Once my classes start, I'll still be able to check in on your pets every 2-4 hours if you're within Monmouth. I will keep your pets safe and happy in the comfort of their own home! I like to stick closely to their everyday routines as possible to keep them comfortable while you're away.
“Nicole has been such an amazing sitter we went to seven feathers for my grandma’s birthday and she just amazes me she is just the best person to have at ur house watch your animals I would recommend her to anybody!! “Jaedyn has home-sat our 3 little dogs twice now and can’t say enough good things about him. Most importantly, I know I can feel confident in their safety. He’s super fast to communicate and punctual. And also, this is a person who the dogs really just love to see. A++”

“It was awesome meeting Leanna, and I felt totally at ease leaving my pup in her care over Labor Day weekend. If I could give 6 stars, I would. Super professional, super responsive—any time I reached out, she got back to me within minutes, which really gave me peace of mind. This was my first time using Rover, and thanks to Leanna, it was a great experience. I’d happily recommend her to friends and family. 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Kaitlyn was absolutely the best! She was very respectful, responsive and caring. Our dog is older and needy, and Kaitlyn was patient and kind with her. Apparently the cats loved her too! I would recommend Kaitlyn without reservation. It is refreshing to find someone so responsible and trustworthy to care for our pets and home. We just moved to Canyon Lake and we were worried about finding a reliable pet sitter. We feel that we hit the jackpot with Kaitlyn!”
“Chris was an excellent pup sitter for our black lab. We were nervous to leave our boy and it was our first time having a stranger in our home to care for him. Chris was kind and patient with Cayde and gave us frequent updates on how things were going. Chris put us at ease and left the home as he found it. We'd definitely have him return for future in-home pet sitting!!”

“Christine was amazing with our dog and 2 cats. I received photos and/or videos every day and it was clear they were very well taken care of! She left the house neat and clean, and I would use her again in a minute! I highly recommend her, she was great.”
“Alyssa stayed the weekend with my labs at my house and I am so grateful for her help and respect of my home/schedule with the labs. She sent some pics to update me on the pups and was a great communicator. Came home to a house as clean as I left it and very happy labs. Would definitely recommend!”

About: I've been taking care of my families pets as well as the pets of my friends, and neighbors since I was a kid! We never had less than three animals in the house and would always watch over our neighbors pets when they were gone. I have also worked as a pet sitter for many other families in a more professional setting. Taking care of animals isnt always clean or easy but its worth it to me to see them happy. I do my best to treat your pets like family knowing that I would want the same treatment for my cat when I rely on someone to watch her! I am not available in the mornings unless I am taking care of them across multiple days. I am available in the afternoon and evenings both during the week and weekends. I am not able to keep your pets in my home because I have a very non-friendly cat. However I am more than happy to spend an afternoon with them at the park, take them on a short walk, or just stop in to make sure they are doing ok. I am also able to stay at your home or check on your pets multiple times per day if you will be out of town.

About: I have fostered on and off with Hope’s Haven for years now and I am no stranger to puppies and seniors alike. I have dog sat since I was 14. I’m a college student at Chemeketa and would love to spend the time I am not studying getting my exercise in by getting out a dog’s energy. I have a cat, two rabbits, and a standard poodle at home. I know a lot about keeping peace and making sure everyone has their needs met.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 659 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Parker. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Parker walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Parker maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Parker choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Parker. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 89% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
