“Chloe is the absolute BEST! She is easy to communicate with, professional and nice! Our super shy cat always comes out for her and feels safe with her. She is our go to cat sitter and would recommend her 10/10!!!”

“Elizabeth was amazing! Great combination of professional and responsible along with warm and cuddly with our kitty boys! I am a very nervous kitty mom and one of our cats had an unexpected health issue, but Elizabeth made me very comfortable that they were being taken care of, and, best of all, sent MANY pictures! Highly recommend!!”

“So incredibly happy that we booked Joseph to watch our cats while we were away. They took to him immediately- and with cats, that can be a challenge. We had peace of mind knowing that our babies were taken care of. He was fantastic.”

“Peter was excellent with our cat Vader! He was prompt, communicative, and above and beyond helpful. We were very appreciative of his help with our cat while we were on vacation. He gave us piece of mind when he would visit and we can’t thank him enough!”

“Alexa was fantastic with watching my cat for a long weekend. I got plenty of picture updates and she was so communicative throughout the weekend! Will definitely be hiring her again!”

“I wish I could give more than 5 stars! Alyssa was fantastic with our little cat, James 🐱 Super attentive and didn’t push him to be affectionate (he is a shy boy sometimes). Steady updates and took care of him exactly as he needed! She even came over before the first visit to meet him and get the logistics of his care. Top notch service 💯 Would highly recommend her to anyone with a pet!”

About: Animals are the center of my universe. I grew up with animals of all kinds; cats, dogs, bunnies, hamsters, birds, fish, ferrets. I’m currently a mom to a female golden retriever, two beautiful ferret daughters and a baby boy bird. I hope to retire one day and own an animal rescue farm. I believe it is our job as humans to give all sentient beings the absolute best love and care and to make sure they feel safe. I am keen to make sure wildlife is safe wherever possible. I’ll pull over on the side of the road to help turtles cross to the other side of the reservoir. On a daily basis I will prioritize every animal from the moment I wake up. I can and will do it all. Feeding, cleaning, walking, playing, giving them love and attention. As I mentioned above, animals are the center of my universe. I want each and every animal to trust me and feel safe with me while under my care.

“Raquel took great care of our boys while we were away and was very responsive and prompt. We will definitely request her again for future trips and would recommend her services to others!”

About: Hi! I am a lifelong animal lover with decades of experience caring for pets- my own, as well as those of friends and family. To me, pets are family- and I understand just how much they mean to the people who love them. That's why I believe it's so important to have someone you trust, that will care for your pets with the same love & attention that you would. I'm here to be that person . I work from home so this gives me the flexibility to provide consistent care- whether it is walks, feedings, or check-ins. I'm able to adapt to their needs. I do have a fenced in yard; but I like to create a calm, safe space for my animals and I have a routine to ensure consistency. And not to mention, that they get lots of love and attention!

About: Note: We are currently training our new dog so best services to book are drop-in visits, walks, or sitting at your home. However, some exceptions may be possible for care at our home, feel free to message me to explore, thank you! 👋 Spoil your well-behaved pup in a lap of luxury with a HUGE 1-acre fenced yard that they can roam free in anytime they’d like. Conveniently located just off Route 17, we are a mature, responsible, and drama-free dog auntie and uncle who are both home full time — me as the primary caretaker, and my partner as a backup (if you’d like). It helps make coverage more reliable, and play time feel a lot more like family time for your pup (except no kids). We are not the types to be addicted to our phones because we believe in being present when spending time with fur friends. We also typically don’t take in too many so that we can provide more attention, and be available when you need us. It’s quality over quantity for us! :) Before requesting a stay, please read my “About” section to see if we are a good fit for each other! Ps. I don’t charge if you are late to pickup by a few hours, so don’t worry about that. New Rover Customers: Use my referral link to get $20 off your first service https://www.rover.com/sit/melindac23 I do sometimes get requests to watch pups in NYC but my spouse and I are both currently home in NJ full-time. I believe in mutual respect, gentle care, and transparency, and would treat your pup the same way I would want mine to be cared for. My friends’ furbabies affectionately call me “auntie” :) I understand how being away from your loved one can cause stress or anxiety (unfortunately, we had a bad experience with a sitter once, so I personally relate to this feeling all too well). I can provide multiple updates a day (or less) if you’d like — photos, videos, and even video calls — whatever will help you feel comforted that they are safe and well cared for. We have a unique property, a huge, park-like fully-fenced yard on a cul-de-sac street (but the fence is only 4 ft high, please confirm that your dog cannot jump it). I have a medium size crate if your pups like them. Multiple dog beds throughout the house and no more than 5 stairs anywhere. I’m equipped to take in two dogs at a time, but I don’t have to if you prefer your pup to have a solo stay.

“Christine has been such a blessing for us. We recently brought into our home a wonderful shelter dog who needed a lot of love and attention, and was initially suffering from severe separation anxiety whenever someone would leave the room. It has also been more than 15 years since we've had a dog and needless to say we were rusty. From day 1 of the meet and greet with Christine, our dog Dot immediately felt comfortable around her, our kids listened intently to her suggestions, explanations and stories of her own going through similar experiences. She's provided consistent advice and support (outside the formal drop-in/walking sessions we pay for). She has her own dogs and fosters dogs as well... and it's clear she does not do this for the money, but purely for her love of dogs. She posts updates during every visit, sends pics, cleans up if there's been an accident, and provides ideas/suggestions when she can. I highly recommend her!”

About: I am lifetime cat owner and currently have 4 cats and 1 dog of my own. I have fostered several dogs, I volunteer as a dog handler at adoption events and socializing cats in boarding. I have attended training for my own dog for obedience. I am currently retired, so I am pretty flexible on hours, however I prefer daytime care. I am available on weekends or weekdays with a little advanced notice. My cats and the dog are well fed and always have fresh water. The cats and dog nails are clipped; they are always groomed. The cats litter box is cleaned multiple times a day. The dog gets taken outside or walked numerous times a day. The cats and dog have plenty of toys and are always given plenty of love.

“Grace took great care of our cat while we were on vacstion. She was very diligent and conscientious, always right on time, floowing directions and giving our cat the attention she needs. Grace seems to have a way with animals because our cat warmed up to her immediately. Highly recommend.”

About: I’ve cared for dogs and cats since I was a kid, helping neighbors, friends, and family with walking, feeding, bathing, and basic training. I grew up with dogs—including raising one from puppyhood—and currently have a cat, Stevie, who I’ve lovingly cared for the past three years. Whether it’s a playful puppy or a shy rescue cat, I provide a calm, reliable, and affectionate environment for pets of all ages. I'm a teacher so I have weekends and holidays off during the school year. During the summer, I'm off! So I’ll have plenty of time to take good care of your pups! My flexible schedule allows me to provide dedicated and attentive care throughout the day. I have a cozy, safe apartment for your dog to stay at overnight or for extended periods of time. I don't have a fenced in yard, but I have plenty of open outdoor space including lawns, trees, bushes, and large wooded areas. I'm conveniently located near the Parkway and can offer you quick drop offs and pickups to get you on your way. I'm also happy to provide drop-in visits or to stay in your home. I'm a skilled communicator and will always be courteous and respectful of your residence.

About: I am a full time Veterinary Technician and Office Manager at an animal hospital for 6+ years in Northern NJ. I have previously worked at 2 other animal hospitals as a Veterinary Assistant. I have taken care of pets aging from young adults to senior care and have experience with all breeds! I look forward to hopefully meeting your furry friend! I work full time but am available early weekday mornings and later in the evening on weekdays. I’m not around every weekend but will keep my availability up to date accordingly. I have a small apartment with my dog having access to free roam but I can tailor to your specific needs at your home as requested!

Lynda L.
“I have known Lynda a long time. We call her “Ellie Mae Clampett”. She is truly the most involved caregiver for animals I have yet to encounter in my 60+ years. Lynda has taken care of our 2 golden retrievers until these two dogs were 16 and 17 years old. She frequently involved herself with our English Shepard and now with our newer golden. A dedicated animal lover to the core. Lynda has also cared for an Eclectus parrot that was in our home for several years. That bird was very hard for anyone to get close to…Lynda did and handled him easily and with his permission. If there is anyone I would have in my home to responsibly take care of my animals…Lynda is a first choice always. Trustworthy and sincere should be her middle names.”

Raquel W.

“Kelli has pet sat for my two cats numerous times for many years. She is trustworthy, reliable, responsible and very caring. She always gives me updates, sends pictures and confirms times/amounts of food and if anything is out of the ordinary she always lets me know. I highly recommend her to become a Rover pet sitter.”

Melinda C.
“Melinda loves and treats all of the dogs in her care as if they are her own. I trust her implicitly with my dog and would not HIGHLY recommend her if I did not. A dog couldn't want a better sitter to look after him or her!”

Nathan has always had a natural affinity for animals, especially dogs. His compassionate nature and gentle manner make him adept at connecting with pets and understanding their needs.
