“Michelle did an amazing job, she took care of our 2 dogs, 5 cats and 13 chickens for over a week & was extremely thorough Always gave us updates and made sure everything was taken care of and everyone was fed. Would recommend her to anyone & will use her for any of my future travel endeavors when I need someone to babysit the little ones”

“Lori and Daisy had a great time! Lori kept me informed while I was away with sweet photos and texts. My apartment was in great shape upon my arrival home. Bed linens washed and replaced, kitchen cleaned up and all dishes put away. I will definitely ask Lori to stay with Daisy in the future! 😊”

“Samm was great with our pets for a weekend away. She checked in enough to make us feel at ease and sent pictures of our fur babies allowing us to enjoy ourselves knowing they were happy. She left our home in perfect condition. Would use again!”

“It was such a relief to have Aidan caring for my dogs at my house while I was gone on my 8 day vacation. My pups are 14 and 11 years old and have special dietary and medical needs and he was able to keep them well fed, medicated and happy! This was the first time in their whole lives that I didn't have friends or family available to watch them, but I didn't have to worry as Aidan sent pictures and kept me up to date on how things were going. If I am in this situation again Aidan will be the first person I reach out to!”

“Marcy did amazing with Theo. It was my first time leaving her outside of our family and my mind was completely at ease. Marcy sent updates and photos regularly which was fantastic! I returned home, tired and jet lagged, to a happy, healthy dog and a tidy house. I will be HIGHLY recommending her and will definitely have her return in the future.”

“Amanda did a fantastic job with our boy! He really looked forward to her coming over and we can't wait to have her watch him again! She spent a lot of time with him making sure he was good and having fun.”

“Zach stayed at our house and watched our Siberian husky Otto for 5 days. Did an excellent job all around and even sent me pictures of Otto and kept me updated on how he was adjusting. Highly recommend!”

About: With 10+ years of hands-on clinical veterinary experience, combined with a lifetime of growing up around, caring for, and working with animals, I bring over a decade of cumulative experience in veterinary medicine, pet care, and animal husbandry. My experience with animals began long before my professional veterinary career and includes dogs, cats, pigs, chickens, cows, horses, and many other animals. This lifelong connection has given me a deep understanding of animal behavior, care, handling, and well-being that extends far beyond the clinical setting. Throughout my veterinary career, I have consistently pursued continuing education through seminars, conferences, specialized training, and additional coursework to continually expand my knowledge and strengthen my clinical skill set. I have maintained **BLS and ALS CPR certification since 2020** and have been **Fear Free Certified since 2018**, along with holding numerous additional certifications, continuing education achievements, and awards earned throughout my career. The majority of my professional veterinary experience has been concentrated in **surgery, emergency medicine, and intensive care/ICU**, where attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to recognize subtle changes in a patient's condition are essential. These experiences have taught me to be highly observant and proactive, with a strong understanding of early warning signs and indicators that may suggest a patient is developing a problem. I take pride in being attentive to the small details that can make a significant difference in an animal's outcome. Pets are my passion, and pet people are my people. I genuinely enjoy building relationships with both animals and their families and believe exceptional veterinary care should be built on compassion, communication, trust, and a little fun along the way. Whether I am caring for a critically ill patient, assisting with surgery, supporting a fearful/nervous pet, or simply making an animal's day a little better, I bring the same level of dedication and enthusiasm to every patient. I believe every pet deserves to feel safe, valued, and well cared for—and every pet parent deserves to know that their beloved companion is in capable, compassionate hands. Your furry family members will receive the highest level of care, attention, and compassion I can provide—and we'll have some fun along the way. I am comfortable and experienced in caring for patients across a wide range of ages, conditions, and levels of acuity. My clinical experience includes the safe administration and management of oral, injectable, and topical medications, as well as monitoring patients receiving ongoing or complex treatment plans. I am comfortable working with advanced and late-stage disease, chronic and complex medical conditions, hospice and end-of-life care, geriatric patients, pediatrics, neonates, and emergency cases. My background in surgery, emergency medicine, and ICU/critical care has strengthened my ability to remain calm and attentive in high-pressure situations while recognizing subtle changes in a patient's condition and responding appropriately. I understand that each patient requires an individualized approach, and I am committed to providing compassionate, thorough, and attentive care whether a patient is recovering from surgery, managing a chronic illness, beginning life as a neonate, facing an emergency, or approaching the end of life. I am equally comfortable providing hands-on nursing care, assisting with treatment plans, communicating observations to the veterinary team, educating and supporting pet parents, and advocating for the patient's comfort and overall quality of life. Pet care has been a huge part of my daily and weekly routine for more than 10 years. Whether I’m working in veterinary medicine or caring for pets in someone’s home, I’m accustomed to making animal care a priority and building it naturally into my everyday routine. I genuinely enjoy getting to know each pet’s personality, habits, routines, and individual needs. For me, providing consistent, attentive care isn’t simply a job—it’s something I’ve built my life around and truly love doing. I approach every pet as an individual and tailor my care to their specific personality, routine, medical needs, and comfort level. Whether I am caring for a pet in my own home or in a client's home, my priority is always to provide a **safe, calm, consistent, and loving environment** that feels as close to their normal routine as possible. I am comfortable caring for pets with a wide range of needs, including puppies and kittens, seniors, anxious or fearful pets, medically complex patients, and animals requiring medications or additional monitoring. I can administer **oral, injectable, and topical medications**, follow detailed feeding and treatment instructions, monitor changes in behavior or condition, and recognize when something may warrant veterinary attention. My background in emergency, critical care, ICU, and surgery has made me particularly attentive to subtle changes that may indicate a problem. When caring for pets in a client's home, I respect that I am also caring for someone's home and follow their instructions closely. I maintain established feeding, medication, exercise, potty, sleep, and enrichment routines whenever possible. I provide regular updates and photos so owners know how their pets are doing and can feel connected while they are away. When caring for pets in my own home, I focus on creating a secure and comfortable environment while considering each animal's temperament, energy level, social preferences, and individual needs. I believe pets shouldn't simply be "watched" while their owners are away—they should receive attention, companionship, enrichment, affection, and quality care. Ultimately, my goal is simple: I want your pets to feel safe, loved, and comfortable, and I want you to have complete peace of mind knowing they are in capable and compassionate hands.
About: With over 10 years of hands-on experience in pet care, I’ve had the joy of looking after a wide variety of animals, from playful puppies and independent cats to curious rabbits. My approach is always tailored to each pet’s unique needs, ensuring they feel safe, loved, and well-cared for. Whether it’s daily walks, feeding schedules, administering medication, or simply providing companionship, I bring dedication and a genuine passion for animal welfare to every job. This extensive experience has taught me how to handle different temperaments and health requirements, making me a reliable and compassionate pet sitter for any furry friend. I am available on weekends, as well as all day Monday, and on Wednesday and Friday evenings. Willing to stay with you pets for the whole weekend or pop in on those days i’m free! There is a fenced yard at my parents' home with five dogs, and I often play ball with them outside. I also have a fenced yard at my place for my 2-year-old Mini Aussie, where we enjoy playing outdoors as well. He has two full toy baskets and bark boxes every month! He is very loved (spoiled) :)!

No matter their personality or routine, I’ll make sure your pet feels comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I’ll be right by their side, providing companionship and the care they deserve! I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide attention, walks and playtime. Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 592 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Paris. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Paris walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Paris maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Paris choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Paris. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
