“We were out of the country for 7 days, but felt assured that Champ was being well looked after by Marie. She does such a great job of communicating as well as caring for Champ. Thank you Marie for everything you do.”

“I had a great experience with my dog sitter! She sent me lots of pictures and updates, which really gave me peace of mind while my dog was in her care. She was also very helpful and accommodating when I needed to extend my dog’s stay and arrange an early drop-off. I really appreciated her flexibility and how easy she was to communicate with. I would definitely recommend her and will be using her again!”

“Kalen runs a very clean and professional dog kennel. We are currently taking care of our son’s dog while he is away on a detachment, and we wanted someone we could trust. Our son had used Kalen back in February, so we decided to go with him again. When we dropped Loki off, he immediately recognized where he was and was excited to go inside. That told us a lot about how comfortable he feels there. Kalen clearly takes good care of the dogs and creates a safe, welcoming environment. Kalen is also great with communication. He responds quickly, keeps you updated, and is easy to work with. Overall, we had a very positive experience and would definitely use him again.”

“Ashland was great during Raider's stay with her. She h Kept me informed, sent pictures and everything I could have asked for. Raider had a great time, just viewing the pictures. Thank you so much Ashlynn. You are awesome”

“Michele is so great! Emma loves spending time with her whether it be for one night or five. Emma gets excited, starts whining and wagging her tail when we turn the corner to Michele's house. You will not be disappointed with her care of your pets!”

“Stephanie is AMAZING! My pup loved the time with her. She's very quick to respond and great at communicating while you are away. Her home is very welcoming and my dog was so tired when she got home from having so much fun! She is a top choice and I look forward to boarding with her again!”

“Dina is a great conversationalist and big hearted woman. She is kind and sweet and it’s obvious she loves animals. Her two little pups are absolutely adorable and helped my pup blossom. I was hoping for a boarding care where my dog could open up more to other dogs, and this stay didn’t disappoint. I look forward to bringing my dog back to her again.”

“Myra was a wonderful caretaker of our sweet pup Riley. They brought her into their home, treated her like part of the family, and gave us updates and pictures daily. We feel very lucky we found such a great dog sitter! Thank you Myra!”

“Maggie had a wonderful time with Annie and family. She got to have a walk and playtime every day. We received super cute pictures and lovely updates a couple of times a day. Their family dog, Zelda is very chill and friendly - and very cute! I highly recommend this sitter. 🐾 ♥️”

“Claudia made us feel so very comfortable and safe to leave our precious family with her. Claudias little Bentley was such a sweet friend to our two pups we left in her care for the weekend. We have one elderly dog of 13 years that needed special meds, as well as a younger two year old. Claudia sent pictures and videos throughout their stay, along with updates of how the two were doing. We will definitely use Claudia again and refer her to others! We highly recommend Claudia AND Sweet Bentley!”

“Ana was absolutely amazing with Potato. We were a little nervous after our original sitter canceled, but honestly, it ended up being a blessing because Ana took such great care of her. She spoiled Potato, kept us updated, and made us feel completely comfortable while we were away. You can tell she genuinely cares about the dogs she watches and treats them like her own. We came home very happy with the care Potato received and would absolutely trust Ana with her again. Highly recommend her!”

“I was so happy to connect with Katherine when my regular sitter was unavailable. My first (and subsequent) impression is that she is kind and professional. Her genuine affection for pets is evident. Katherine responded promptly to my texts and was happy to accommodate a minor change that I requested at the last minute. She provided ample pics and videos so I never wondered how my dog was coping, he seemed quite content. I would highly recommend Katherine’s services for your pet.”

“We picked up our guy today after being gone for 8 days. First time leaving him anywhere so we were nervous. Chris and Julia were amazing. They were so nice and made us feel comfortable. They sent us daily updates and we could see he was enjoying himself and getting along with their dog. We were able to relax and enjoy our vacation knowing he was in good hands. They’ll definitely be our go to sitters in the future.”

“Genuinely could not have found a better person to take in my cats. She’s local, considerate, an absolute gem. My cats had the best time they were given the upmost attention she makes sure they’re rotated & none of them get left out. They had practically their own room for a whole month! It was like a cat hotel, she runs a tight ship & I am forever grateful for it. Always doing the best she can, being upfront & honest with me about everything. I truly trust Hope more than some of my own family especially looking out for my fur babies. She’s great company & gives you all the time you need if you’re able to visit your pets. Couldn’t have done this move without her being here & able to take my babies in. All around, BOOK HERRRR. Although he may be on hiatus to recover from my month I booked but she’s absolutely worth every penny & then sum! +1000/10 Love this lady 🫶🏼”

About: My schedule is very flexible.Your pet will enjoy play time across the street at the dog park, they won’t be lonely I have a loving dog of my own named Diesel who is very friendly and gets along well with other dogs. I have six years worth of experience taking care of dogs. I enjoy taking my dog to the walking trails and for hikes. My neighborhood’s courtyard has a lot of play areas for the dogs. I love cuddling with my dog diesel and will make sure your dog gets just as much love and attention. Plenty of treats and love to make them feel special and rewarded. I am soldier in the army national guard and I really enjoy outdoor activities, and a lot of times I take my dog. Whether it be hiking or just walking the running trails. CPR certified and come from medical background. Very respectful and trustworthy. I’m very patient, reliable and just have a genuine love for animals. I work full time and I am in school so boarding works best on weekends. If your dog is a dog that gets by with feeding times twice a day and going out twice a day, boarding may be a good fit throughout the weekdays. That schedule is similar to my dog’s and my dog loves other animals so they can be each others companion during the day, until it’s time to go out and play in the park. I have one friendly dog and he is house trained, so I have an extra crate if needed and extra doggy bed. We have a fenced in dog park for them to play in, in my neighborhood.
“Gidget loved the warm welcome when we left her off for the first time. I received pictures and was able to contact Kathleen at any time which reassured that all was going good. Gidget came home and slept for 2 days after her stay that showed me she loved playing with other dogs Kathleen and Steven where very loving to our dog And I highly recommend their services 🥰”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Palo Verde home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Palo Verde.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Palo Verde sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
