About: **WE ARE BACK AND ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTELE!** Hi! We are the Saluone Family! Cornelius and I have cared for and owned pets all of our lives. We believe in only providing the absolute best care to your fur babies. For every minute your pet is with us they will be treated with love and patience. We currently live on a half acre property (fenced!) where your pet will have all the space and room to enjoy and receive enrichment. Cornelius and I work together in a team effort so your pet can be comfortable and have attentive care. To ensure safety for your pet and us, we do only take one family at a time for boardings (we do not overlap boardings). Our past experience includes: care for large and small dog breeds, puppies, senior dogs and cats, and kittens. As well as, teaching basic command training, providing basic wash and grooming for both small and large breeds, working with specialty diets, administering medications were needed, providing enrichment activities, and providing a comfortable and spacious environment. 2 day notice is required if cancellation is needed. As soon as we hear from you, we jump on working and prepping to meet your fur baby! We do our best to follow any routine/schedule/rules you have set for your pups. We can’t wait to care for them! And Thank you for choosing us!

We would 100% recommend and rebook with Celeste on our next trip if she is available. We came back and our cats looked well fed, hydrated, acting normal and very happy to see us. About: As a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to have someone you can trust to care for your pet when the time comes. I have loved animals my whole life and have extensive hands-on experience with all types of pets. I understand the importance of adapting to pet personalities to limit animal stress and do my very best to make your pets as comfortable as possible in my time with them! I am currently a student and working part time but if I’m around and free - I will be more than happy to assist how I can! I am currently the most flexible in the evenings as well as weekends. In my home, pets get high quality treatment. As I have two cats myself I understand the importance of keeping good space between previously established pets and visitors. Your pet will be in its own space that will be made as comfortable as possible for your pet’s situation!

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs and pet sitting for friends, neighbors and family for about 10 years! Pet sitting is one of my favorite jobs because I love meeting new animals! I am at school until 11 am most weekdays, and I’m free all day on weekends! I am unavailable on Fridays because I am working until 8 pm. Right now I am living in a apartment so I don’t have a fence so I can’t do pet sitting at my own house unfortunately.

About: I have cowboy corgi named Bubba that I’m obsessed with. He loves having other dogs over to play with! We promise to take good care of your pup! I work from home doing customer service Monday-Friday full time. Your dog gets a morning bathroom break, mid day bathroom break, and one in the evening with the walk of the day. They’ll get to hangout with myself, bubba, and my husband. They can even sleep in our bed if that’s what they normally do with you. I live in a condo so I will take them out on leash for bathroom breaks and walks. They’re is a walking path in my neighborhood that is great for dogs.

About: I grew up with all sorts of animals, but I’ve always had a soft spot for dogs. I started pet sitting for friends and family when I was 12, and have been doing it on and off since! I am an experienced dog owner who has worked with dogs of all sizes. I would love to meet your puppy! I’m currently working part time, but it is very flexible! I can make almost anything work. I don’t currently have a dog of my own so I will give yours all the love I have. My puppy of 13 years passed away in February. My husband and I are dogless for now as we move around, but once we get settled he’s gonna have to beg me not to adopt every dog at the shelter!

About: I have a retired service dog, and can do both sitting at your home and boarding at mine. I have watched both small and large dogs, as well as cats, reptiles, and rodents. I use to work at a farm with horses, and know my way around critters both great and small. I can provide outdoor baths if the weather is above 60 degrees, and some light training if wanted. I am in college taking classes from 10 to 1, and also work as a janitor for a school, working from 4 to 7. I am not home on Sunday mornings for about 2 hours, due to church, so any dogs will need to be OK being home alone either in a crate or loose in a room for that time period. I have my retired service dog, Wiley, who is very friendly with other dogs. I have a indoor grass patch that dogs can use, as well as the lead line i can put them out on. I am not able to walk very well, so can't do long walks, but I have a good arm and can throw a ball for 20 minutes several times a day, in the park near my house. I can provide a hose bath provided the temperature is above 60 degrees, and can use my large car to go to dog parks. Dogs are allowed on the bed, but will sleep in a crate if that is how they sleep at home. I have bones for dogs to chew on, and plenty of toys. I dont allow balls in the house, my dog has learned how to throw them himself to chase.

About: Hi, I’m Mimi! I’m a student at BYU majoring in business, but when I was younger, I to be a veterinarian because I’ve always loved animals. Growing up in Michigan, my life was filled with animals, I’ve had Australian Shepherds, a Husky, German Shepherds, Labs, chickens, and recently, my family even got goats! Moving to Utah for my third year at BYU, I’ve really missed spending time with animals, and I’d love the chance to care for your dog this semester. I’ve had my share of challenging experiences with dogs over the years, from handling high-energy breeds to managing tricky situations, so I know how to stay calm and handle things with care. I’m also super active, so whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, or just cuddles, I’ll make sure they’re happy, loved, and well cared for. Let me know how I can help! You can count on me to treat your dog like they’re my own! :) I am a college student in Provo and would love to help out with your dog! I love the play, walk, and train dogs. I have class from Monday-Thursday from around 9-4, but I would be happy to stop by in the early morning or afternoon if needed. I have a clear schedule from Friday-Sunday so I would be able to give my full attention to your pups! Let me know if you have any questions about my schedule! I’m very patient with animals, especially dogs, because I know every dog is unique. Back home in Michigan, I take care of my two Australian Shepherds daily feeding them, walking them, and making sure they get plenty of time to sniff and explore on walks. I also love playing fetch with their favorite toys to make sure they have fun and burn off some energy! Whether your dog is big or small, young or old, or any breed, I’d be happy to help take care of them and make sure they feel loved and well cared for.

Chantelle was great to work with! We did a meet and greet before the scheduled visits which was helpful for our pup and us. She was very communicative before, during, and following visits, letting us know how it went. She’s very kind and we would recommend her to anyone!

This was my first time having someone to come into my home to take my dogs on a walk while I was away. Shaelynn came over before I had to leave to meet my dogs. I know the first time getting to know someone new can be an adjustment (especially for my pups), but Shae not only helped me out at the last minute, but she was so sweet, kind, and patient with my pups, despite their anxiety and being unsure of the new person in our home. I definitely would have Shae look after Lincoln and Lucy again if she's willing!

FAQs for Pet Sitting - Palmyra

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost of Pet Sitting in Palmyra is $61 per visit as of November 2026. Most bookings cost between $61 and $61 per visit. On Rover, sitters set their own rates based on factors such as their experience, the length of care, the number of pets, and your pet’s specific needs. As long as your booking dates and pet profiles are accurate, the price shown before you confirm is the total, including any booking fee.

As of November 2026, there are 1,762 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across Palmyra. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Palmyra. On Rover:

  • 85% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 91% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
