About: I’ve grown up surrounded by animals of all kinds—dogs, cats, birds, lizards, small rodents, fish, and even frogs! Over the years, I’ve cared not only for my own pets but also for the pets of neighbors and family members while they’re away. I treat every animal I care for with love, patience, and attention, making sure they feel safe, happy, and included—just like a member of our family. Whether it’s playtime, cuddles, walks, or keeping up with their routines, I’m committed to giving your pets the care and affection they deserve. I plan to open my own pet boarding and grooming business someday as well. I am a work from home mother, where I work at nights after my children as asleep. I already walk and play and train our family dog so when I watch other pets the car works in nicely to what I already do. I try to walk my dog (or any that I am tending) two times a day and give regular play time and affection to. I have a fenced yard and a very kind and loving dog to keep your furry friend company. She does well with both dogs and cats, but obviously I take precautions when new cats come in as they might not be as comfortable around my dog as she is with them. She plays well with other dogs. My children as also very gentle with pets and help me to feed, water and clean dishes daily. I allow them to help where safe, and make sure that the pets we watch are always safe from any human or other animal.
“We have booked Shaelynn a few times now and are very happy with her! She takes great care of our cats and is very reliable. She also takes plenty of pictures. She even gets our stubborn Tortie to play! We will definitely make her our first choice when we need someone again!”

“Sarah did an absolutely wonderful job taking care of my cat Angie while I was away for a week! Her care was thorough, as were her check-in reports, and Angie loved her. I would absolutely hire her again!”

About: Hi, I’m Paola! 🐾 Professional pet spoiler, part-time treat giver, full-time animal lover. Whether your furry friend needs belly rubs, playtime, or just someone to tell them they’re a very good boy/girl — I’m your human! 🐶🐱💕 I treat every pet like they’re my own (yes, that means baby talk and extra snuggles). Let’s make tails wag and whiskers twitch — I’ve got this! Pet care is a big and joyful part of my daily life! 🐾 I work a part-time job, which gives me plenty of flexibility to care for pets throughout the day. I plan my schedule carefully so your furry friend always gets the attention, exercise, and love they need — whether it’s morning walks, playtime, or relaxed cuddle sessions. Because I only take on a manageable number of pets at a time, I can give each one my full focus and care. I truly enjoy spending time with animals, and making them feel safe and happy is a top priority in my routine — every single day. 💛🐶🐱 In My Home: Your pet will have a blast in my big, fully fenced backyard — perfect for playtime, sunbathing, and zoomies! 🐕☀️ I’ve also got a safety gate for the stairs, so everyone stays safe, whether they’re a curious pup or a relaxed senior. Inside, it’s a cozy, calm environment with plenty of space to nap, play, and feel right at home. Bonus: lots of snuggles are included at no extra cost. 😉 Every pet is treated like family — because they are! 🐾❤️

About: I love spending time with animals! For years, I've cared for the pets of family, friends, and neighbors, gaining experience with a variety of personalities and routines. From active poodles to quiet cats, I've learned to adapt to each animal's unique needs, whether that means long walks and play-time, sticking closely to meal and medicine schedules, or simply providing calm companionship. Also, I grew up with an English Shorthaired Pointer and have first-hand experience with all aspects of responsible pet ownership. I am a full time graduate student, so I’m most available in the evenings and on weekends. However, I am happy to make an effort to work with your timing to fulfill your pet’s care needs. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities! My current housing doesn't allow me to host pets, but I am more than happy to provide care through house sitting, drop-in visits, and walks. When caring for your pet, I am detail-oriented, attentive, and thorough. I follow all instructions closely to maintain routine and ensure their well-being. I can adhere to timely feeding schedules, administer medication, and reinforce training. I know that each pet and household is unique, so I am flexible in providing the care that best suits your circumstances. I respect your home and pet as if they were my own and prioritize clear communication to ensure that your needs and wants are met. I can provide updates and photos as often as desired so you can feel confident that your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for!
“She was such a great fur-babysitter! She did a great job taking care of our cat while my wife and I were away for a vacation. She played with him and provided him with lots of love and attention for us! She also sent updates from every visit. We will definitely try and book her again if we have to leave him again.”

About: I have had dogs, lizards, and a bird all growing up. I love animals and pet sitting makes me happy. I am more than happy to stay with animals overnight and I have been pet sitting since middle school. I work part-time and I am in full time school. I can visit in the mornings and at night or on my lunch if you need a pet sitter, or I can stay overnight for pets or house sitting. I am in student housing so I cannot take an animal home with me. I can go to your home and take care of your pet there and spend my time there.

About: I have taken care of all my friends and family's pets for as long as I can remember. I love dogs and cats! Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 793 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Palmyra. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Palmyra. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
