“Donovan was great with our pets! We have a dog and three cats at home and he took care of all of them for the weekend. Our dog Odin was especially happy to see him each visit. Thank you Donovan!”

About: (just reactivated my account in 2026, new to Miami) I have volunteered and trained 3+ yrs in professional wildlife animal and rescue care. 14+yrs of raising my scrappy little Chihuahua, Cloe. 2+yrs with our rescue , Pongo. Attention to detail for each animal in my care. I prefer to be SMOTHERED in dog kisses. All dogs are allowed on the couch, bed, or any area in the house. Comfortable with simple grooming. I love to send 1 or 2 puppy pics per day. I also try to make sure your doggy feels like they are receiving a spa-get away. We will exercise in the attached "Bark Park" if weather permits; and we will definitely indulge in a night-night massage. I am comfortable grooming, brushing, bathing, administering medication, or tending to a dog on their old age . I believe that attention to detail and a warm heart are my greatest strengths. My apt is attached to a "bark park" for daily exercise. All doggys have free roam of my house. Dogs are allowed on the sofa and in bed for snuggles. I live to love all animals like Steve Irwin.
About: I’ve had dogs since I was 16 and have always been trusted by friends and family as the designated person to take care of their pets as if it was them themselves taking care of them on the day to day :) I work in office Monday to Friday I can check in the morning and evenings and check in on pets mid day to assure they are not waiting for more than 6 hours I have a small fenced yard and my neighborhood is very dog friendly and a safe community I love sleeping with my dogs so I do the same with the others I’ve taken care alongside with knowing the need of crating if necessary

About: Hi, I’m Stephanie! I’ve been providing pet care since November of last year and truly enjoy building trust with both pets and their owners. Skills & Experience: Large Dog Handling: Comfortable walking dogs up to 80 lbs with a calm and controlled approach. For safety, I do ask that larger dogs are fully trained and well-behaved on leash. Time Management & Organization: Experienced in caring for multiple dogs at once while making sure each one gets the attention, exercise, and care they need. Routine-Based Care: I stick closely to each pet’s routine to help them feel safe, relaxed, and comfortable. Reliability & Attention to Detail: I’m dependable and attentive, always paying close attention to a pet’s behavior and needs. Exercise & Engagement: I provide structured 30-minute walks and make sure each visit includes both care and positive interaction. I treat every pet with patience, kindness, and respect; making sure they feel happy and cared for while you’re away, and giving you peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands. I’m currently an online student so i have a very flexible schedule! Im available in the mornings, earliest 10am, and the latest at 8pm. I take both pet safety and respect for your home very seriously. I always follow any instructions closely, including feeding routines, medications (if needed), and household preferences. I make sure doors, gates, and entry points are secure at all times, and I’m careful during walks and visits to keep pets safe and under control. In your home, I aim to be as respectful and tidy as possible; cleaning up after pets, keeping their areas neat, and leaving everything just as I found it. I also understand the importance of trust, so I’m reliable, communicative, and happy to provide updates so you feel confident while you’re away. My goal is to create a safe, calm environment for your pets while also giving you peace of mind knowing your home and pets are being well cared for.

About: I've been around dogs and pets my entire life. Through dog training my own dogs I have learned what works well and what doesn't with communicating with dogs. My red nose pitbull is service trained, and people always ask me how I got him so well behaved, and I say by learning dog how to communicate with them properly. I am a teacher so during the summer I have a lot of flexibility both during day and night to meet your dog drop in or dog walking needs. I establish boundaries with every dog I meet before walking them to make sure they get the best possible care and freedom on walks, all while keeping them safe.

About: I’ve cared for pets since I was a child and have experience with all kinds of animals—birds, turtles, chicks, hamsters, cats, and dogs. Recently, I’ve gained experience with high-energy breeds like huskies, and I love giving every pet the attention, care, and exercise they need. I am house-wife. As a stay-at-home, I have full availability to care for your pets. I can provide walks, playtime, and attention anytime, weekdays or weekends My home has three floors, a garage, and plenty of open spaces nearby for walks. I have a dedicated room for pets, and I provide a safe, clean, and loving environment for every animal in my care.
About: I've had a dog since I was 6 years old and have learned so much about dog care since then. I've taken care of relatives dogs, as well as my dog when I was home alone for days. Nothing sounds more amazing then spending the day taking care of your furry friend with the same love you give them. I am confident in my intelligence, capabilities, and compassion to surpass your expectations when it comes to pet care. I currently work in an office from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays. I am available past 4:30 pm Mondays through Thursdays, with full availability Fridays through Sundays. I am able to travel anywhere in the DC Metro area to dog sit and dog walk. I am not able to take them with me home due to apartment regulations but I guarentee I will provide them with a safe and amazing time.
About: Hello, thank you for taking an interest in boarding your pet with me at a Dog’s Dream Vacation provided by a dog lover. I love dogs and I am a borderline dog whisperer. When your pet stays with me, they are getting a vacation of their own. When you travel or go on vacation, they get to have a getaway of their own. If using the Rover App, scroll through the top picture to see the photo gallery of dogs having fun and enjoying their vacation. If on the desktop website, click on full gallery photos. Rover is definitely better than boarding your pet at a dog hotel, especially if they are anxious pets. It is like Air BnB for your pet. : ) I live on a small peaceful lake with a big, fenced backyard. There is usually a nice breeze. I have a big open space home and a large backyard, plus a pool. Pets can go in the pool. I know golden retrievers and Labradors can’t resist, so please let me know if your dog may attempt to go in and if you prefer that they don’t. The lake is closed off, not connected to other lakes or canals (very safe) but still I do not allow pets in the lake as there is bacteria. We have a very old cat, he is 15 years old and most dogs get along with him, even if they have never been around a cat. I sadly hate to update my profile, and it took me a few months to do so because of grief. We had a cute, playful, friendly Labrador. His name was Chance and he died of a hemangiosarcoma tumor on his liver and spleen. Apparently, labs and retrievers can get this. Unfortunately, nobody knows exactly what causes hemangiosarcoma in dogs. It is one of the most studied canine cancers, but there is no single proven cause. Researchers believe it results from a combination of: genetics, age, or random DNA mutations. The last few pictures were of me and Chance having fun. Our prices are in line with the market rate (and cheaper than a dog hotel) but in my home, your dog is getting a vacation, eventually a playmate once we get another dog. I prefer dogs that are potty trained. I also prefer friendly breeds. Please bring your dog’s bed, food and 2 poop bags per day. Also bring their crate if crate trained (this is in case only if I have more than 2 dogs during busy holiday season AND only if they are used to their home crate). It also helps some dogs feel at home and have their own scent. Be sure they are bathed and clean as they tend to lay on our rugs. I prefer they do not go on furniture but it’s ok if they do (Chance used to lay on the couch all the time). I am available weekends and/or holidays. I can also provide dog walks in Brickell during the weekday. On some occasions I can do a dog visit but it depends on day and location. Please let me know if you need more information or have any questions. I work full time but work from home 2 days out of the week. I keep dogs on a feeding schedule along with back yard play time and potty time. They basically do the same routine and schedule as Chance. I have a fenced in yard and one dog to keep your fur baby happy and in good company. I can crate your dog if needed or if you prefer. Please bring their crate if crate trained and sleep or are used to going in and out of their "home'. Sometimes it helps them having their scent.

About: I have grown up walking dogs and have 2 cats at home. I love cats, dogs, and long walks. I know when they are hungry or thirsty, or when it is time to go to the bathroom. I don't mind cleaning up messes and will take responsibility for any accidents that the animal made. I am a college student at UF currently home for summer break. I am looking to work and will be available as much as I can. As a home sitter, I am respectful and will make sure to follow the rules and boundaries placed by the owner. You can tell me anything and I will make sure to listen and act accordingly.
About: I am a lifelong dog owner with hands-on experience in both senior dog care and high-energy puppies. I offer a lifetime of personal pet ownership combined with years of providing reliable cat care and housesitting services for neighbors and family. I am patient with all animals and ready to give your pet the dedicated attention they deserve. Being a university student as long as I don't have classes I am available. I have a highly flexible schedule and am able to structure my study hours around your pet's needs, providing consistent supervision and companionship. I am mostly free in the afternoon on weekdays and any time on weekends. I tailor every visit to your pet's specific routine and comfort levels. Safety is always at the top of my mind, so I am vigilant about door security whenever entering a home. Once inside, my time is all theirs. For high-energy pets, I can spend my time burning off their energy in the yard or a safe space inside. For older pets, I provide calm companionship and a comforting presence. I am meticulous about following instructions regarding feeding, refreshing water, locking up, and keeping your home secure.

About: I love all animals! I have the most knowledge with dogs as I have dealt with senior, aggressive, pregnant dogs and raised litters of puppies. I previously owned a blind dog with cushions disease, that suffered from seizures. I have also been a medical foster for dogs and cats, where I gained experience with pregnant animals, helped them with giving birth, and raising the litter. I am currently in nursing school. Rover makes it easy for me to fit a job into my schedule rather than a traditional job with a set schedule. As someone who loves her pets, I know it can be hard to trust someone you don’t know. I treat all pets in my care as if they were my own.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Palmetto Bay
Alize was incredible. For starters she is extremely professional, respectful and trustworthy. My dog Tyson is extremely particular with people, but he just LOVED her. The drop in visits were 3x/day for a week, and she was punctual for all of them. She made sure Tyson got his daily exercise by taking him out and playing fetch the ball with him. She even showed up with more food for him because towards the end of the week he was running low on some of his food. If you’re looking for an outstanding dogsitter that is reliable, trustworthy and a true animal/dog lover, Alize is the top choice. Our family is blessed to have found such a special person. Thank you Alize!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
