“It was my first time leaving my Irish Setter with Linda. I am new to the area and based on her rating reviews I felt she would be a great match. Needless to say I was not disappointed. It appears my Olivia got the best care. I received regular updates and pics. Linda shows genuine love and care for pets under her care. I intend to use her services again in the near future! Thank you! 🐕”

“This was our first time using Rover and I am so incredibly happy I had Krista as our sitter. Loki loved her and really had a great time. He’s exhausted too which is always a plus for me at the end of the day! I will definitely use Krista again and I know Loki will be thrilled to see her too.”

“Maya girl came for a day play date with Lili and some friends! Maya loves it and Lili is always consistent with picture updates and communication so we feel at ease while we’re out for the day. 🐶”

“First time puppy mom, first time Rover user with that said while puppies can’t talk i can tell based on how happy he was to see Laurie on each day he had a great time . Would definitely recommend and have already booked his next stay!”

“Leon is such an awesome dog sitter!! He is our go-to for daycare and weekend extended stays for our super high energy dog. He also was super willing to take on our (also high energy) Australian shepherd puppy, and took great care of him!”

About: Hi! I’m Victoria, a local Sanford dog sitter and proud dog mom to Leo, my toy schnauzer. I provide a safe, loving home environment where dogs are treated like family—not just pets. No cramped kennels or long hours alone. They’ll have the run of the house, plenty of outdoor time, belly rubs, treats, and all the love they could ask for. A brief Meet & Greet is required prior to sitting for all new clients to assure compatibility. I work remotely, which means your dog will have companionship and supervision throughout the day. Whether they’re here for a weekend getaway or an extended stay, they’ll enjoy plenty of outdoor breaks, playtime, cuddles, and individualized attention. I intentionally keep my boarding numbers low to create a calm, low-stress environment where every dog receives the care they deserve. We have policies in place to make sure dogs, who are escape artists, aren’t able to make a run for it, we space feeding time and walking time as research has shown eating prior to a walk and immediately after can cause bloating and other complications. It’s my mission your dog is safe at all times so you can worry less when your dog is not with you.

“They are the sweetest, kindest, most wonderful humans who took such great care of my pup (and me!) They truly feel like a gift from the universe, making an unusually hectic week completely okay. I couldn’t be more impressed and grateful and my dog couldn’t be happier.”

“I would give 100 stars if I could! Miranda and Curtis were AMAZING in dealing with Tanner, my energetic pup! They did such a good job helping him work through his anxiety and anxiousness and he came home happy, tired, and well loved! Will definitely be using them again in the future! Truly a wonderful experience!”

“Denys was amazing. She communicates very well and takes pictures to give updates. Rocky made himself at home right away and seemed to be very comfortable. I will be reaching out again in the future.”

About: I work from home so your pup will receive continuous attention and playtime. Personal pet owner of up to 4 dogs at a time. As a RN I have no problem administering your dogs medications, including injections. Daycare/boarding includes walking your pet and possible doggie park on the weekends if you are comfortable with that. After recently losing 3 members of my pack, I decided to spoil and love on other peoples pets. Most of my best friends are dog owners! I prefer a meet and greet before boarding your pet. My greyhound is a senior and friendly and has accepted all my boarders without issues. If your dog likes to mark I do have belly bands to use while in the house.

“Bruce is a blessing to our family. We have been searching for a dog sitter that is caring, loving, knowledgeable, with an emphasis on safety. We finally found him. Bruce goes above and beyond making his own tags for each dog, maintaining security when doors are opened, sendiing updates including pictures and videos. I highly recommend Bruce!”

“We needed a daycare spot for a few days with a nice yard for our high energy pup as our fence was getting replaced. When looking for a sitter, Jonathan and Jennifer checked all of the boxes. We are so thankful for you both welcoming Sailor into a safe and fun environment. We received regular updates with photos (some of those were hilarious). She came home happy after each visit and was excited to see them every morning we dropped her off. We will definitely reach out in the future!!”

“This is the second time Willow has been to Rebecca‘s house and you might think they’ve been best buds forever! Today had a bonus…she got to play with Rebecca‘s daughters! Rebecca is definitely a keeper when it comes to taking care of my girl. I’m very grateful to have found her 😊”

“Douglania is an exceptional professional. Having used pet resort/daycare facilities, I MUCH more prefer the direct care of someone I can do a meet and greet with, someone I can feel out and know that person will have my 2 pups under direct care while our family is away. Every appointment with Douglania, we have not been disappointed! We will continue to use and recommend her to all of our friends. Thank you for taking such great care of our pups!”

“Maria saved the day! We were in town for graduation and our dog was whining when we left him at daughter’s new apartment. Maria was available immediately and she was so sweet, had a great house, yard, and son to help our dog feel better about staying in a new place. She also sent lots of pics and kept in touch so we wouldn’t have to worry.??”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
