“Melanie did a great job checking in on Max! She stayed a good amount of time both visits, gave him lunch, and spent time outside playing with him even though it was cold. She was timely with messages, sent photos, and was very pleasant and considerate in our home (took off her shoes). We really appreciated her care and would happily book her again!”

“Claire is a wonderful pet sitter! My cats love her and I feel way less stressed being away from home knowing they are in good hands! Claire also shares great photos during her check-ins - I always look forward to seeing them! Claire is the best!”

About: Currently I am between caregiving clients trying to decide what my next move is. I was born into an animal loving family, extended family, etc. I am 59 years old and have never been without at least a cat or two. I've also had 2 of my own dogs since 2005. My last senior dog passed the rainbow bridge in 2024. Born in Connecticut, lived for 45 years in Maryland and now I am living in Maine where I love it! One reason I fell in love with Maine is you can bring your dog almost anywhere here. They are a pet loving no-kill state! I have administered just about every kind of pet med out there. Every single pet has their own personality and I am very patient to learn that personality so we will become friends. I have a pretty open schedule with no real deadlines, so when ever your pets need walks, feeding, medications or just spend time with them, I am there. My own pets get feed twice a day. The time varies depending on my pet sitting schedule. But usually Its about 10am and 7pm. Whatever instructions left for me for a pet sit, I will follow to the letter. I will ask questions or text later to make sure I understand everything your pet needs. I've never run into an animal not liking me, but I am very aware of them not be comfortable with me at first. That can be stressful for them of course, so its very important that their care instructions are followed to keep them as anxiety free as possible.
“Hayleigh did a wonderful job with our cats. They were adopted litter mates at the age of 3 months. They have never been without us, so they were a little shy about showing themselves. Everything was done as asked, feeding, litter box, etc. Would use again if the need arises.”

“Melanie was great! We were nervous leaving our cats for two weeks but she was very reassuring and kind to our pets- giving each the individual care and attention they needed. She sent regular updates and even communicated with our daughter as we were out of the country. Would book with her again!”

“After we’d stayed home all through the Covid year, Jill was the first caregiver our 2 young kitties ever had. We were nervous to leave them, especially shy Jack. Well - no worries!! Jill has a calm, gentle demeanor and both cats quickly became comfortable with her. She’s responsive, reliable, and resourceful - she even found our extra birdseed to ensure the feeder outside the window (major cat entertainment!) stayed full. We definitely would recommend Jill!”

“We had such a wonderful experience with Amanda. Leaving a small puppy and other dog (both Basenjis) in someone else’s care can be nerve-racking, but Amanda made the entire process feel effortless and reassuring. From the start, it was clear she truly understands dogs and their personalities — especially a breed like a Basenji, which isn’t always the easiest! She was incredibly attentive, patient with our puppy, and thoughtful about making sure both dogs felt comfortable and cared for. We received regular updates and so many amazing photos, which made it clear our dogs were happy, relaxed, and getting plenty of attention. When we returned home, both dogs were calm, content, and clearly well cared for. It gave a lot of peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. We would absolutely trust them again with Amanda. We will absolutely have her back again, I highly recommend Amanda to anyone looking for a responsible, kind, and genuinely great pet sitter.”

“Brooke was terrific! She sent us plenty of photos, kept us up-to-date on our diabetic cat and was very comfortable calling or texting with questions (since we hadn't provided all of the answers). She was on time and extremely caring. We'll definitely be hiring her again.”

About: I have yet to meet someone who can out-dog-person me! Dogs are the best part of life. I have a German Shepherd and an English Pointer who face the brunt of my dog voice, personalized jingles, etc., - but out of respect for their patience I'm offering my services to other dogs! I have experience ranging from potty training new puppies to distributing meds to senior dogs and caring for them post-operation. I love to bring my dogs (and yours) on outdoor adventures in our midcoast community - hiking, swimming, lounging in the sun, and breaking out the snowshoes for winter. We'll wear each other out! I work at a public school and am a grad student, so I have lots of flexibility during the summer months and school vacations when folks tend to need travel care for their dogs. I'm a grad student and an educator at a public school - so I have school vacations (including summers) off. I have great availability on weekends and after 3:30 every day. I live in a small house with two big dogs (one being a senior hound), which is why I don't offer care for your pets at my own home. I will utilize whatever safety plans you put in place when I care for your pet - whether you have a dog that's great in your fenced-in backyard or a flight-risk that needs to be harnessed and leashed.
“Jessica was great. She accepted our request at the very last minute and travelled further outside of her area to check on our dog. While our dog refused to go outside for her, she was in constant contact and was very sweet to our super nervous, stubborn dog. We appreciated her stopping by!”
