About: Currently I am between caregiving clients trying to decide what my next move is. I was born into an animal loving family, extended family, etc. I am 59 years old and have never been without at least a cat or two. I've also had 2 of my own dogs since 2005. My last senior dog passed the rainbow bridge in 2024. Born in Connecticut, lived for 45 years in Maryland and now I am living in Maine where I love it! One reason I fell in love with Maine is you can bring your dog almost anywhere here. They are a pet loving no-kill state! I have administered just about every kind of pet med out there. Every single pet has their own personality and I am very patient to learn that personality so we will become friends. I have a pretty open schedule with no real deadlines, so when ever your pets need walks, feeding, medications or just spend time with them, I am there. My own pets get feed twice a day. The time varies depending on my pet sitting schedule. But usually Its about 10am and 7pm. Whatever instructions left for me for a pet sit, I will follow to the letter. I will ask questions or text later to make sure I understand everything your pet needs. I've never run into an animal not liking me, but I am very aware of them not be comfortable with me at first. That can be stressful for them of course, so its very important that their care instructions are followed to keep them as anxiety free as possible.

They took him on some fun adventures: canoeing, camping on a trampoline, hikes in the B woods etc with their own dog. .Coco was treated like a member of their family. I was so charmed and relieved to see photos and videos they sent often during our week apart. He received so much love that I wonder if he missed me as much as I missed him. I would not hesitate to schedule another home stay for him and in fact feel freer to do so now that I know he would be so well taken care of.”

I currently have two labradors (one is an *angel* and can calm even the most Nervous Nellies, and the other just wants you to throw the dang ball!). I have a large fenced-in area, wooded trails for curious noses and a food dehydrator for the occasional, chewy treat (with permission). For sure you can expect that your pup will be treated as one of our own with play, snuggles and comfy places to sleep. I have help from a trustworthy teen and, at present, incredible flexibility in my schedule. I am really excited to host your furry family members! I am currently at home full-time. Multiple fetch sessions and walks throughout the day are the norm. Walks are either on-site, or at a nearby field/preserve. I have two very friendly dogs who would love some company! They sleep wherever -- I do have a twin sized day bed in my room that they sometimes like, but a nervous boarder would be welcome to it:)

Short walkies with tiny terriers, long trails with Labrador retrievers, dog parks, training exercises, puzzle feeders, I've done it and enjoyed it all. I like to make friends with our canine companions, and help them feel safe and secure in the absence of their favorite human(s). I have experience giving pills and administering daily shots, like insulin. I work remotely, so my time is freauently on my own schedule and at my own pace. Having an animal to care for is an added bonus that is easy to work around, and forces me to remember my exercise! Dogs staying at my house get 2 longer walks and a shorter walk per day, depending on age, energy, and ability of the dog. I also try to incorporate a special enrichment activity every day. Example: dog park, trail, swimming, long play/training session, suited to the dog's interests and abilities. The dog's space in my house is also where I work, so I spend a lot of time hanging out with your dog. At your house, I'll ask for their favorite toy or play routine, to keep their space consistent until you come back. I love to put on an audiobook and take dogs on a "sniff walk" where they can just sniff to their heart's content, such great enrichment for their strong noses.
About: I'm a work at home pet mom with a large yard, lots of toys, and a calm and welcoming house. I've always had large dogs from mixed breeds to Great Danes, but love and appreciate all types of well mannered dogs. My house sits well off the road, so its quiet and I hike or trail walk almost daily. I am adept at giving medicine, cleaning wounds and dealing with incontinent dogs, but I will only board dogs who are respectful of my cats. I am currently working from home on my own schedule. Boarded dogs who enjoy car rides can come with me on errands or outings. While each day may different, my activities will be built around the needs of the animals I am caretaking, especially if separation anxiety is an issue. I will care for your animals as per your instructions and the capabilities of your pet. I do not have a fenced in yard, but have installed a run line in the past. If a dog is used to being crated, receiving treats, or sleeping on the couch - no problem. Conversely, I don't give animals people food, and if you want your pets to stay off furniture I will strictly honor that as well. My house is small but open, so it is easy to keep an eye on them.

About: I had beagles growing up and was totally fascinated by them and they brought a big smile to my face with their antics. Later on, I adopted a red Doberman female dog and loved her to pieces taking her on all sort of outdoor adventures - she was highly athletic! I had a poodle who was a bit shy but nevertheless I gave her a great life with endless throwing of the ball for fetch and taking care of her when she went blind - older poodles have that tendency. I have a 11 year old cockapoo who is lean and trim and well loved! Yes could have used more training but what an awesome, well adjusted dog who is super friendly as I my two year old female cocker spaniel who is an absolute joy of sweetness. I have integrity, I think quick on my feet and am very responsible having raised a family and pets. I am a dog whisperer who can tune into all different kinds of dogs and dispositions. I am a semi retired man and so have much more free time. I love outdoor adventures and sunshine and I know dogs do too! First off, every dog is different and has his or her own quirks from dietary to social interactions with other dogs. It’s great to love dogs but it’s also important to provide them structure and pay good attention to their health needs. Not every dog is cut out for lengthy walks so I tailor the experience to whatever brings the dog most joy!

About: Ever since i was little we've always had animals at home, I have experience caring for animals with different needs and personalities. I'm very attentive to pet behavior and i understand how important routines, patience, and trust are when caring for someone's pet, my number 1 priority is to make them feel safe, happy, and cared for while their owners are away. I'm currently working part-time so Mondays-Fridays i am available to care for pets, i am able to do weekends if needed, but my schedule is pretty open! About: Dog care shouldn’t cost you an arm and a leg! Whether you’re going on vacation or need some help after surgery, I’m more than happy to do anything and everything in between to help you and your pup(s) during your time of need! I work Mondays and Tuesdays 11p-7a so I can check in on pets late at night or early in the morning! Wednesday through Sunday I *only* do Rover, so I can focus on helping pet parents. I make sure to ask clarifying questions during meet and greets, then follow them to the T during visits in the future. Chores are done first if needed (cleaning litter box, letting out pups, food/water, etc) which I try to keep to under 10 minutes in order to give the majority of my time to the pet and spending time with them.

About: I've grown up with German Shepard's being bred in my home, have been surrounded and trusted all of my life with pet care from a very young age by friends and family. Have my own dog now, Nahla, who is very loved & well behaved. Depending on the temperament of your dog we can introduce, or your dog and I can have a solo adventure if that's what they'd prefer too! I'm currently available any day of the week, during any daytime hours, and for multiple hour excursions. My work schedule (for the time being) is very flexible, so I am able to create my own hours. I am currently only taking dogs on hikes/ long walks at the moment, no overnight stays. But you can always expect your dog to be taken care of like I would my own when we are in our adventures. My dog is my baby, therefore my #1 responsibility, and you're dog will be treated the same. 💙 You can always expect hikes to: 1. Be close in proximity to emergency vet centers. 2. Always include an emergency first aid kit, including blood stop, and dog safe benadryl incase your pet were to suffer from an allergic reaction to a bee sting or anything else. 3. Have water, food, and treats on stand by. I ask that you provide food, however I will provide treats, unless directed otherwise. Treats are always consciously chosen, the ones I have right now are real duck & turkey treats that are 100% grain free, no fillers, no synthetic colors, or artificial flavors. We can discuss portions that you allow. 4. Have whatever needs your dog might have be 100% into consideration- wether that be pace, different terrain for different agility levels, or medical conditions that limit them. I want your dog coming back feeling satisfied, tired and also proud of themselves. But not overworked or ever in pain / worse condition from when they left. Some dogs can go for miles, Some just for a while- and that's okay! We will also go over the charachter of your dog, and interactions they prefer/ to avoid. If they like kids, socialization, other dogs, ect. If your dog doesn't enjoy socialization then I will find a more secluded trail so it's not over stimulated. My dog prefers old male dogs that are super relaxed and play mildly, so I also understand that finding friends for our pets is sometimes situational and I want to try to find the right fit for your pet so they feel happy and secure in the experience each time. 5. All the love & attention I can wrap up into the length of our hike!
About: I'm a 53yr old, active woman who spent 15 years as an Animal Control Officer in my local towns and then with my local Sheriff's office. I've fostered and adopted numerous rescues and am a huge animal advocate. Caring for other people's animals has always been my dream and now I'm doing it. I'm available almost any day at any time. I'm happy to stay with your pets or just stop in for a visit. I do not offer pet sitting in my home as my two rescues do not do well with other dogs. I will adhere to your wants and rules for your animals. I love my pets, and I will treat yours as if they are my own. About: I’ve taken care of dogs cats rabbits and horses ever since I was 10. I’ve cared for new born kittens as well as senior cats at the Humane Society for almost 10 years. And cared for my neighbors’ dogs. From volunteering I’ve learn much about behaviors for both dogs and cats and have discovered I have a talent for working with them. I decided at retiring that I would like to begin in home pet sitting earning a living. I also manage an Airbnb with pets and have had great experiences with both dogs and and cats. I’m available all times but desire at least a week in advance notice. Daily weekly and hourly with breaks when needed for managing my Airbnb. Usually to clean after check out. Also per your needs I will need to have a brief break in the day to drive home to make sure my cats are fed and happy with some play time if I am asked to do overnights. I have 4 cats now. They get fed on special foods on a schedule. When they are eating I clean their cat boxes and when they are finished, I clean their bowls. Before they begin their daily naps , I play with each of them. They range in age from 19 to 1 yr. I also check their water bowls throughout the day or night depending. I can give them treats anytime. I also have learned various medical skills and hope to go back to school for a third degree as a vet tech and if life allows veterinary practice.

About: Currently I am between caregiving clients trying to decide what my next move is. I was born into an animal loving family, extended family, etc. I am 59 years old and have never been without at least a cat or two. I've also had 2 of my own dogs since 2005. My last senior dog passed the rainbow bridge in 2024. Born in Connecticut, lived for 45 years in Maryland and now I am living in Maine where I love it! One reason I fell in love with Maine is you can bring your dog almost anywhere here. They are a pet loving no-kill state! I have administered just about every kind of pet med out there. Every single pet has their own personality and I am very patient to learn that personality so we will become friends. I have a pretty open schedule with no real deadlines, so when ever your pets need walks, feeding, medications or just spend time with them, I am there. My own pets get feed twice a day. The time varies depending on my pet sitting schedule. But usually Its about 10am and 7pm. Whatever instructions left for me for a pet sit, I will follow to the letter. I will ask questions or text later to make sure I understand everything your pet needs. I've never run into an animal not liking me, but I am very aware of them not be comfortable with me at first. That can be stressful for them of course, so its very important that their care instructions are followed to keep them as anxiety free as possible.

About: I have always been an animal lover, growing up in the countryside with an array of horses, goats, dogs and cats. I currently have two labradors (one is an *angel* and can calm even the most Nervous Nellies, and the other just wants you to throw the dang ball!). I have a large fenced-in area, wooded trails for curious noses and a food dehydrator for the occasional, chewy treat (with permission). For sure you can expect that your pup will be treated as one of our own with play, snuggles and comfy places to sleep. I have help from a trustworthy teen and, at present, incredible flexibility in my schedule. I am really excited to host your furry family members! I am currently at home full-time. Multiple fetch sessions and walks throughout the day are the norm. Walks are either on-site, or at a nearby field/preserve. I have two very friendly dogs who would love some company! They sleep wherever -- I do have a twin sized day bed in my room that they sometimes like, but a nervous boarder would be welcome to it:)

About: I've been providing neighborhood pet care since I was 11. Short walkies with tiny terriers, long trails with Labrador retrievers, dog parks, training exercises, puzzle feeders, I've done it and enjoyed it all. I like to make friends with our canine companions, and help them feel safe and secure in the absence of their favorite human(s). I have experience giving pills and administering daily shots, like insulin. I work remotely, so my time is freauently on my own schedule and at my own pace. Having an animal to care for is an added bonus that is easy to work around, and forces me to remember my exercise! Dogs staying at my house get 2 longer walks and a shorter walk per day, depending on age, energy, and ability of the dog. I also try to incorporate a special enrichment activity every day. Example: dog park, trail, swimming, long play/training session, suited to the dog's interests and abilities. The dog's space in my house is also where I work, so I spend a lot of time hanging out with your dog. At your house, I'll ask for their favorite toy or play routine, to keep their space consistent until you come back. I love to put on an audiobook and take dogs on a "sniff walk" where they can just sniff to their heart's content, such great enrichment for their strong noses.
About: I'm a work at home pet mom with a large yard, lots of toys, and a calm and welcoming house. I've always had large dogs from mixed breeds to Great Danes, but love and appreciate all types of well mannered dogs. My house sits well off the road, so its quiet and I hike or trail walk almost daily. I am adept at giving medicine, cleaning wounds and dealing with incontinent dogs, but I will only board dogs who are respectful of my cats. I am currently working from home on my own schedule. Boarded dogs who enjoy car rides can come with me on errands or outings. While each day may different, my activities will be built around the needs of the animals I am caretaking, especially if separation anxiety is an issue. I will care for your animals as per your instructions and the capabilities of your pet. I do not have a fenced in yard, but have installed a run line in the past. If a dog is used to being crated, receiving treats, or sleeping on the couch - no problem. Conversely, I don't give animals people food, and if you want your pets to stay off furniture I will strictly honor that as well. My house is small but open, so it is easy to keep an eye on them.
