“I’ve used him many times before to walk my dog and it always turns out great! Definitely a repeat customer, he is quick, interactive, quick to respond and always sends me pictures of her during their visit!”

“Thank you so much for taking great care of our kitties! The updates and abundance of pictures really made it easier being away from them. Hope to have you look after them in the future!”

About: I have taken care of dogs all my life. I used to be a dog mom of a 3 legged chihuahua terrier named Petunia before she passed to old age. I’ve taken care of both puppies and elderly dogs. I have helped administer medication to dogs. I work well with both small dogs and big dogs. I have taken care of massive dogs before (my aunt owns a Great Pyrenees). I have watched multiple friends and families dogs. I work well with playful dogs as well as calmer dogs that love to cuddle up. I’m currently working part-time, so I will have plenty of time to care for your beloved pets. Any days I have listed are my days off meaning I have more time to spend playing and loving your dogs! I always have some treats for my fur babies that I sit (I always double check to see any allergies pets may have before bringing treats over). Sadly, one of the downsides to my care is that you will get a lot of photos and videos of your pet having fun. If needed I have extra leashes and portable food and water bowls.
About: My name is Aldan, and I’ve been around dogs all my life! My family has a GSP that I grew up with along and two shih-tzus. I am a high energy person and can wear a dog out! I also appreciate relaxing with older dogs while having a good time. I have missed being around dogs since moving away and look forward to meeting you and your dog or dogs! I am available to do at least two drop ins a day. Most times I am able to do three, but can sometimes get busy with work. I strive to provide great service and will always respond promptly. I am very respectful of peoples property and take pride in doing what I say I will. Trust is a virtue of mine and I hope to earn yours.
About: I have volunteered at Kentucky Humane Society, I have grown up with 2 cats and have a dog of my own. I have experience giving baths, cleaning ears, trimming nails, going on walks, applying first aid, and giving pills. I can give special attention for dogs (and cats) that need a little more attention <3 I am available most days. I have a very flexible schedule and can do multi day sits. I hope to give your pet lots of love and cuddles! I have had a lot of experience with animals and would love to give your animal the best care they can get! hope to see you soon :)
About: With a 7 year old golden of my own, I love dogs at all their stages of life! Taking care of pets is something I have always loved to do. I am currently working remote 3-4 days a week, so I have some flexibility! I am also available most weekends for what you and your pet may need. When visiting a client’s home, I will ensure that I take care of everything as if it were my own. I also have a dog of my own who loves routine, so doing everything I can to ensure that your pet is comfortable and has the best experience with me as well!
About: I'm very experienced in taking care of adult and senior dogs. My family frequently hosts pets for family members. We currently have no pets in the home after the loss of our senior dog, Eddie. We're excited to welcome your pets into our home and love them as our own! I am working from home permanently and would be available during the week and weekends to take care of your fur babies! I have a very wide range of availability. I have a fenced in yard, and a family that absolutely adores animals. With two kids (13 & 10), your pet will get as much playtime as they desire.
“Hannah is wonderful to have as a pet sitter. She made sure to take and send pictures every visit to the house. She also went above and beyond with taking care of the house (mail & trash) when we were gone for an extended period of time. I would highly recommend!”

About: From the time I was a baby, there has never been a moment where my family did not have any animals in the home, and my love for animals I inherited from my grandpa. I knew when I had my own home, I would also have pets. After adopting my sweet fur babies, finding a reliable and trusting pet sitter was the most important thing, and having the assurance that they were being loved on and taking care of the same way that I do was the utmost importance. After some time and consideration, I thought I could offer my services as a pet sitter and the same love and caring for other animals that I have for mine, as well as offering the peace of mind pet parents need when trusting another to watch their beloved pets. I have personal experience with different breeds of dogs from big to small as well as cats, and have had animals from puppy/kitten stage to old age. My Fila girl completed 4 levels of training at Tri-State K9 University as her background was unknown when I fostered (and later adopted her), but though her behavior it was clear she had been through a rough time and suffered from fear and anxiety. With patience, love, and training she blossomed out of her shell and out came the sweet, playful girl I knew she truly was. I know some animals need extra care and handling in order to trust someone, which is why I know having the best pet sitter is so important and want to bring my love, experience, and patience to you and your beloved pets. I am mostly available early mornings and evening, but I am willing to work with you to find the best schedule to care for your animal(s). My sweet Fila can be picky with her canine friends, so I will not be able to provide services in my home but I am happy to take your dog on walks around your neighborhood, a nearby park, and play a game of fetch (or whatever your animal prefers) in your yard. I also have a wonderful fiance and stepchildren who would also love to help provide extra love and hugs to your animal(s) if allowed.
“I really appreciate Savannah and have asked her to be my cat sitter in the future! Savannah is kind and considerate and did a great job watching my cats when I was away. She sent me pictures of my kitties, like I asked for, and she appraised me of their behavior when I was gone. I have confidence in her and I am happy that she is watching my babies when I am away. I have only positive things to say about her! ??⬛”

Absolutely incredible care for our Felix. Nathalie made sure our dog was fed, checked on, played with, and kept happy while also cleaning any messes around the food area and home. Communication was excellent from start to finish, and we always felt informed and reassured. Very dependable, caring, and professional — highly recommend!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
