“Jess has been great with our dog Cocoa. Cocoa just seems happier knowing Jess will be there to spend some time. And we feel better knowing Cocoa is in good hands. Thank you Jess!!”

“Jaclyn is caring and detailed. Our four kitties love her! We just finished a 12 day vacation and the pictures she sent helped us know that they were just fine while we were away.”

“We appreciate the great care Victoria provided for our rather grumpy cat. He was very receptive to her during the meet and greet so we were very comfortable with having her come in to care for him. Hoping Harry will be a bit more appreciative of her care and more friendly next time!!”

“Sam is always the best! Jackson loves her and all their visits together! This is our second time having Sam help us out when we are out of town, and won’t be the last! She’s flexible and accommodating and our Jackson is always taken care of!”

“This is the first time I’ve used drop in visits for my dogs instead of a kennel and I was worried because my dogs are mostly high maintenance. I’m completely satisfied with the excellent dog sitting you provided for my pups! They were calm and happy upon my return thanks to you. I had full peace of mind during my weekend getaway knowing my dogs were being cared for so well and I loved getting updates and pictures. Thank you!”

“Rachel is always amazing with our cats and is very patient and not overwhelming with our shy one. We have special circumstances that make us leery to have friends check on them but we are never worried with Rachel and will always come back to her!”

About: Hi! I have grown up with animals my entire life and I have experience in dogs, cats, rabbits and fish. I love animals and I have a dog and rabbit as my own so I would only be available for drop ins, if you are interested send me a message! I have a very flexible schedule and I am able to do multiple drop ins per day and I am usually available all days of the week I would make sure the dog has gone to the bathroom and make sure the cat has fresh litter and I would make sure both dog or cat are fed and have plenty of water. I also will save a little time to have a play session with them!
“This was our first experience with a Rover drop-in sitter for our senior cat and Kyla put us at ease! She sent lots of photos with each visit and even a couple videos. Hendrix was a happy cat when we got home and Kyla took care to lock up and even grab the mail and a package for us. We look forward to utilizing her services again!”

“I had very little cell service when I was on my trip but it was really nice and reassuring that Makayla was still very attentive and communicative about our pets. I get really anxious being away from them especially with no cell service! But I very much appreciate the pics and communications from Makayla. I def recommended and even book her again for any future trips! Thanks for being affordable and just overall amazing. My family and I appreciate you!”

“His Honda was great!!! She sent pictures every time she visited and our pets looked very happy!! Both our dog & cat were happy & calm when we returned!! Will 100% be asking Yushonda back if she’ll have us! -)”

About: I am a veterinary assistant with many years experience taking care of dogs and cats. I also have several years experience with odd animal care and husbandry. I do work full-time, so my care is going to be more focused on specialty cases and/or times that fit in with my current schedule. I am a veterinary assistant so I am familiar with animal medicine. This will translate to owners who need a little more care for their pets than a normal Rover.

My dream is to someday own my own dog kennel that gives at home feels so you can rest easy that your pup is cared for to your standards and your pup comes home happy! I am a school employee. That leaves me with the schedule wide open to take care of dogs June- August. This schedule grants me the a availability your dogs need for a positive, fun stay! I have a XXL dog kennel/ room just for dogs! Comfortable beds, toys, treats, and walking provided. They also have access to a fenced in yard with toys! Toys and blankets are washed weekly. About: I thought I would grow up to be a veterinarian. I love to sit and enjoy my time with Dogs. Animals my passion and I love and enjoy all of them! I’d love to use my strengths and education with 15 years of hands on animal handling skill and training to cater to the needs of your pets to comfort your companion while you're away, I can assure you the pet owner they’re living their best life in my care. I send tons of pictures and show love care and compassion. I have been an animal handler and curated for 15 years, comforting and catering to your companions. I love being an animal handler and specializing in dogs specifically. I have curated my skills and know how to really be there for your pet in a way that matters. Every day and every action will add up in your overall animals life quality and I know how to do things for your pet that will matter later down the line, when you don’t have time to. I do! Communication is huge for me and your pet! Your pets schedule and goals are my mission and I don’t miss out on sending tons of update pics and what we have planned for the day! I care for dogs in my clients home. I do not host in my home. But the ultimate focus when I’m at my clients home is paying attention to your dogs behavior. Separation anxiety is a huge trigger for dogs not eating and becoming unhealthy and creating unhealthy habits and I do everything in my power to distract the worry and bring play and fun and most importantly comfort. Your dog will learn how to communicate with me very quickly and once I can assess their needs, wants and desires then they tend to feel heard and more at peace with their owner being away. Creating or sticking to a schedule and incorporating healthy dog play and walks is important. A healthy dog is an happy dog! When I come back they are joyful! I love that feeling of creating a good relationship with your pet, And with YOU!

About: I'm 31 years old and love dogs. I would love to take care of yours like it was mine. Love to walk long distances. I'm home from 6 pm weekdays and all day during weekends. Don't have my own dog because i don't have enough money to take care of a pet but someday i would love to. I would do it even for free because they are amazing creatures. They are unconditional and fun. I will feed, walk, train them with patience and love. I have my own dog, a black lab, but she's in another country, I had to come here without her and I miss her a lot every single day. But I know my dad is taking good care of her. I’m currently working from home so i have all the time to take care of my clients and business needs. I’m been doing this for 5 years now. I prefer to do it in my home but i can do it at the clients house if they not required to stay overnight at all.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Otisville. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
