“This was our fur babies first time having someone do check ins with him while we were away. Jeffrey did a fabulous job taking care of Poppa Chubby while we were gone. We were notified when Jeffrey started and ended his drop in visits. I asked him for pics while he was there which he sent to me with any updates. We would highly recommend Jeffrey to care for your fur babies.💜. Thanks Jeffrey for taking care of Poppa while we were away.”

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs of all ages, sizes and temperaments (including dogs with disabilities)my whole life and have always had a passion for being around them. I’ve worked for groomers and dog daycares.I am skilled in giving oral medications and dog bathing. I’m in walking distance of the Clio bike trail and have a fenced in yard. I’m currently only available for daycare on weekends. I’m available for drop ins and let outs any time after 2pm on weekdays, all day on Saturday and after 11am on Sunday. I love playing and being outside with dogs. I never let a dog out of my sight and I’m extremely patient. I love that every dog has their own personality and quirks and I’m very quick to adjust and tend to their needs.

About: I'm 31 years old and love dogs. I would love to take care of yours like it was mine. Love to walk long distances. I'm home from 6 pm weekdays and all day during weekends. Don't have my own dog because i don't have enough money to take care of a pet but someday i would love to. I would do it even for free because they are amazing creatures. They are unconditional and fun. I will feed, walk, train them with patience and love. I have my own dog, a black lab, but she's in another country, I had to come here without her and I miss her a lot every single day. But I know my dad is taking good care of her. I’m currently working from home so i have all the time to take care of my clients and business needs. I’m been doing this for 5 years now. I prefer to do it in my home but i can do it at the clients house if they not required to stay overnight at all.
About: I offer all kinds of pet care, walking, drop ins, box scooping, yard scooping, play time, cuddle time, food/watering, general medication administration, wound care, brushing and much more. I have experiance with domestic animals, pocket pets (hamsters, ect.), lizards, bugs, rescued wildlife and ect. If it can be a pet I more then likely have taken care of them. I love all animals and would love to care for yours anyway I can. I currently have a Dog, 3 Cats and take care of several other animals for family and friends, so im kind of an Auntie to many animals. I live in a large 2 story home, with a large fenced in yard and live in a quiet subdivision in Flushing near the Golf Course. I can keep pets seperate from our other household pets or they are all up to date on vaccinations and are other animal friendly so if you feel your pet would like to co-mingle then that is possible too. You let me know your pets needs and I can usually accommodate a way to adjust areas to suit there needs in my home. No young children or loud environment, just quiet, relaxing space for your pet to enjoy while away from home.
“I highly recommend Rachel for your pet sitting needs. She was punctual to both house visits for my fur babies. She left detailed notes and also sent pics of the dogs. Rachel is also extremely friendly and easy to talk too...”

“We appreciate the great care Victoria provided for our rather grumpy cat. He was very receptive to her during the meet and greet so we were very comfortable with having her come in to care for him. Hoping Harry will be a bit more appreciative of her care and more friendly next time!!”

“Olivia has been great with my pup! She comes 2-3x every week for drop in visits and walks. She goes above and beyond and sends me picture updates and always makes sure my doggo is happy and taken care of. Highly recommend!”

About: I grew up with pets so I've been around them my whole life. I'm used to looking after dogs and cats and easily become attached! I'm going to school at Duke but I'm usually free on weekends and evenings. I'm just available part time, or whenever I have the time. I live in a pet friendly apartment, but I would typically take your puppers on a walk, hike, or dog park. They'd definitely have plenty of space and attention!

About: What sets me apart is my hands-on experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I have my own puppy, Mika, and I’ve helped care for her dog parents and their litter of nine puppies, which gave me valuable experience with young dogs and the extra attention they require. I’ve also cared for a doodle named Libby, as well as my foster parents’ dogs, Bella and Brutus. Through these experiences, I’ve become comfortable managing multiple dogs, maintaining routines, providing exercise and enrichment, and making sure each dog receives individual attention and care. As a nanny, I’m naturally patient, attentive, and dependable. I understand that every dog is different, and I take the time to learn their personality, routines, and needs so they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Whether your dog is energetic and playful or prefers a quieter environment, I’ll care for them as if they were my own. I am on summer break from graduate school until I go back the last week of August. I currently have Tuesdays-Thursdays free and Saturdays and Sundays free! I will follow any sort of special feeding schedule, and I am able to crate dogs of they need to be! I have a dog who likes to try and run out the front door so I have lots of experience making sure dogs like her stay inside and safe! I also have 10+ years of cat experience and stick to strict feeding times and cleaning litter boxes!
“I had a great experience with Sara as my new pet sitter! She was quick to respond to messages and kept me updated throughout her visits, which gave me real peace of mind. She took excellent care of my cat, Buddy, and it was clear she genuinely cared about his well-being. I’ll definitely be using her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter.”

“Amazing!! Carissa visited our two dogs periodically while we were away for the weekend. It was an unconventional request, and she was very accommodating. Our very shy Jupiter warmed up to Carissa at the first meeting. Can't wait to hire her again!”

I do work longer hours, usually 3-4 days a week but if I need to take them to work with me, I can! I work 8-8 but the days change each week! If you don’t have a fenced in yard i’m comfortable walking your pet on a leash to go outside, would feel more comfortable versus relying on recall!

I’m happy to communicate with owners about their pet’s usual routine and make sure it stays consistent while they’re away :) I have a dog and cat of my own, so I’m used to maintaining daily routines and creating a safe, comfortable environment for pets. I’m attentive to their individual personalities and needs, and I love giving them plenty of playtime, attention, and affection. I’m also respectful of each pet’s space and their owner’s home, and I always make sure pets are happy, comfortable, and well cared for.

About: We will treat your dog(s) as our own. My friends tell me I have a special way of patting dogs and they (the dogs) seem to love it. They will get good belly rubs, behind-the-ear scratches and whatever love they need from both my husband and me. Our large fenced yard will entice your dog(s) to run and play as well as relax. We are comfortable looking after more than one dog at a time as we have a dog of our own. Just an FYI, Fiona, our 14.5 year old passed away in December 2023. We adopted Meeka in February 2024 who loves playing with other dogs and people. We also just adopted Simba in mid-April 2024. He is slowly getting socialized and loves playing with Meeka. They definitely keep each other company! Your dogs will also feel more comfortable in our house knowing that they are welcome and have familiar dog faces and smells here. I am also comfortable taking care of your dog(s) in your house to ensure your fur-children continue to stay in the comforts of their own homes. My husband and I look forward to meeting you and your dog(s) soon. My husband and I do this together. We both work full-time at the office but I work 2 days from home. During the in-office days, we will let the dogs out when we wake up and after one of us get back home. The other two days and on weekends, they get let out every 2-3 hours or as and when they need to go. My husband helps me when he’s home and we go for daily walks in the evenings and weekends. We love patting and playing with them as that’s our routine with our own dogs so rest assured, we’ll make sure your dog gets loved too. Meet and greets are always preferred because we want to make sure you’re comfortable with our family and vice versa. If your dog(s) will be in our home, my husband will be helping out. Therefore, we want to make sure our pups play well with each other too. If you need a house sitter while you’re gone because it’s easier and better for your pets to be in the comforts of their own home, it’ll either be my husband or I. In this case, we want to make sure you’re comfortable with both of us. Boarding/Daycare: We have a fenced backyard and require all boarders to be crate-trained and come with a crate, especially for feeding time and if things get wild. For older dogs like when we had Fiona, she struggled to go up and down the deck stairs so I let her out in the front yard which isn’t fenced. However, I went with her and she was great at not taking off with me and my husband. Meeka and Simba are always leashed when they get let out in the front. If you’re worried about your dog being in the front yard, we will always use a leash. Otherwise, the backyard is more than sufficient if they’re okay with stairs. Home Sitting: We will do our best to stick with your routine with your dog. I do work full-time, 2 days from home and my husband goes to the office all 5 days. If your dog loves walks/car rides, we'd be happy to have them meet ours and they can walk together. If there are other animals in your home that's need to be card for, please let us know. I am an animal lover and will learn quickly to care for animals I’ve not taken care of before.
About: I've taken care of various species of animal ever since I was young, this ranges from dogs, cats, fish, reptiles and even goats. I am currently attending Carrington College for Veterinary Technology. I am the perfect choice to look after your lil buddy! I am free every day of the week and every hour of the day. I'm not too busy of a person so feel free to reach out! I have a large backyard that is securely fenced in, anything being able to get out would be a miracle, I'm very loving and nurturing and prefer reward based training/discipline over punishment.
About: I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember, and I’ve cared for them for more than 25 years. When I ran my company, my employees used to bring their dogs to work, and I loved having them there! I now care for pets full time and recently joined Rover. I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone while you’re away. I like knowing the little things about your pup, like which toy they look for and where they like to be scratched. If they love fetch, we have plenty of room to play in my big backyard. If they’d rather take a slow walk and curl up beside me afterward, that sounds like a pretty good afternoon to me, too. I’ll follow the routine they’re used to so they can settle in and feel at home. Pet care is something I genuinely love, and I’m fortunate to be able to dedicate myself to it full time! My schedule is flexible, which allows me to give the pets in my care my full attention. I enjoy spending time with animals, whether that means going for walks, playing, cuddling, or simply keeping them company. I know how much our pets mean to us, and I want every owner to feel confident that their furry family member is getting the same love, attention, and care they would receive at home. I absolutely love spending time with animals! One thing I’ve learned over the years is that every pet has a personality of their own, and I seem to have a natural instinct for understanding what makes them happy. Some dogs love playing fetch, chasing a Frisbee, or being challenged to learn new tricks. Others love swimming in our lake, which is something we can enjoy together with their owner’s permission and proper supervision. And if they don’t like water, that’s perfectly fine! We can go for walks, play their favorite games, or find something else they enjoy. Then there are those who would rather just relax, cuddle, have their belly rubbed, or curl up in their doggie bed with someone nearby. I love that just as much! I believe the best way to care for animals is to pay attention to their individual personalities, respect their routines, and let them enjoy the things that make them happy. Whether I’m caring for a playful puppy, a senior dog, or a cat who prefers a little independence, I want them to feel safe, comfortable, and loved. After all, they’re part of the family!

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
