I currently have two dogs of my own—a 2.5-year-old Goldendoodle and a 15-year-old Shih Tzu—so I’m very familiar with both high-energy dogs and senior dogs who need a little extra patience and care. I am available for watching pets in my own home while you are away for your weekend trips or even week long vacations. I am also able for drop in visits at your home and dog walking. My availability for drop in visits and dog walking is more open during school breaks and the summer. I only pet sit for one family at a time. I will watch multiple pets if they are from the same family. My house is one story, is in a safe neighborhood, and has a fenced in back yard. I have grown up around dogs and am very comfortable caring and playing with them. I grew up with my family dog Samson, a shih tzu and bichon mix, and my sister’s dog Max, a black lab mix. After work I come home, do things around the house, and relax. I would love to snuggle with your pet after I get home from work. On weekend and during the summer, I don’t have a set schedule. If I have to leave it’s typically no longer than 4-5 hours at a time. I try my best to keep things similar at my home as they would be at your home. I am comfortable with dogs having free range of the house if that is what they are familiar with and they are well trained. If your dog is used to staying in a crate while you are gone, please bring a crate when you drop them off. Pets are welcomed on the couch and bed. I also highly suggest bringing food/water bowls, toys, a blanket, and anything else that would be beneficial for your pet to feel more comfortable in a new place.

Pet care can easily join into my current routine with my pets, or be tailored to the pet's needs. While my dogs love to play, they can be kept separated or eased into our routine (for boarding/day-care). I am especially good with high energy dogs and puppies. For walks, I love to get outdoors with the casual sniffers, the runners, and even the leash-pullers. I have lots of equipment I can share if needed (spring leashes, running harnesses for larger dogs, retractable leashes and more).
