Nervous about leaving our baby in the care of a stranger, I took comfort in reading other people’s reviews so I hope this helps. As a new transplant to Fort Wayne from Brooklyn New York, things are very different. Our 2 year old poodle isn’t use to the new routine or people yet and Tracy was patient, communicative and caring. I felt comfortable letting him into our home and loved getting the photos of our happy - despite Super nervous- pup with his tail up trotting along. Tracy is a game changer for us in our new schedule and I would trust him with our pooch in our home or in his.

About: I have been taking care of pets, mainly dogs and cats for as long as I can remember! I grew up with dogs and would take care of my neighbors animals when they went on vacation. I would also take my neighbors dogs on walks and do drop in visits if they got stuck at work or had other obligations. I work from home remotely so you can have the peace of mind that your pet wont be left unsupervised for long periods of time. The way I care for pets in the clients home is ensure I arrive on time to guarantee your pet gets the exact amount of care and attention scheduled. Every drop in I follow a strict checklist to ensure comprehensive care. My rough checklist for Drop Ins/Walks: -Immediate outdoor break with exercise -Feeding and fresh water and if needed, administer medications. -Clean up litter boxes if taking care of cats and cleaning up any possible accidents -Affection and more playtime and mental stimulation for higher energy dogs/cats. -Any other requests just ask & I will fit those into my checklist Once I leave your home I triple check to make sure your pet is secure, all windows, and doors are locked. I treat your home as its mine when I'm leaving so you never have to worry about your home being secured.

I am highly attentive to routines, behavior cues, and individual temperaments, allowing me to create a calm, safe, and consistent environment for each dog in my care. My dog-sitting skills extend beyond basic supervision to include proper exercise, reinforcement of positive behavior, and close observation to ensure overall well-being. I approach every responsibility with professionalism, reliability, and clear communication, giving pet owners confidence and peace of mind that their dogs are receiving exceptional, dependable care in their absence I have a flexible schedule and am available most of the time, allowing me to provide reliable and attentive care. While I am generally free during the week, I may occasionally have other commitments on weekends, though I communicate availability clearly in advance to ensure proper planning. I prioritize safety, trust, and a calm environment in every aspect of the care I provide. My upstairs apartment is clean, secure, and pet-friendly, with close supervision at all times to ensure pets remain safe and comfortable. I carefully follow each pet’s routine, dietary needs, and any special instructions provided, and I maintain a consistent and structured environment to reduce stress. About: I have owned and taken care of a lot of dogs in the past 10 years. Friends, family and neighbors have trusted that I take great care of their fur babies! I offer overnight care in your home as well as walking and drop-ins! I am a self employed hair stylist so I can pretty easily modify my schedule to accommodate you and your dogs personal needs! I work 4-5 days a week so I am looking for something to do in my free time. I always prefer to have a run-down on how you take care of your dog and understand your personal routine with the dog so that I can mimic that to the best of my ability.

About: I am currently working at Decatur Veterinary Clinic and I have been there for a year now. I am one of the girls who cares for the pets after surgery and if they are boarding! I love to interact with dogs and cats and make them feel so loved! I currently work Tuesday evenings and Friday mornings at the vet clinic! I am also attending Huntington University in the fall and I am committed to play volleyball there as well, so I have practice every Wednesday from 5-7 pm and then I go back to my high school on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8-10 am for extra reps! I have a 12 year old chihuahua and a 8 month old kitten! They are slowly learning to get along but I do have to monitor them if they are out at the same time because my kitten always wants to play but my chihuahua isn’t always a fan! I am always keeping an eye on pets and making sure they aren’t getting into any trouble!

About: I'm extremely patient with any dog. I always make sure they fell comfortable around me before I do anything! I am a strong walker! I also know how to make the most out of any time spent with a dog! Pet care is my number one priority for an animal I take care of! I will always make sure that the animal is the top priority when we go anywhere. I always put the dogs safety before my own. I will watch for other dogs and loose animals when we go on walks. When sitting in the past I let the parent know of the times I let the dog out or do anything with the animal. I will send many cute pictures for updates of what is going on!

About: I am a loving mother of 2 and I will care for your pets as if they were one of the kids. I have dog sit before and loved it. When I was younger I use to volunteer at the animal shelter with my great-grandma and that's the reason I love animals today. We also adopted a cat a couple of years ago, and we just love him to pieces. We also just adopted a dog that we have previously sat for. I currently work at a nursing home, my boyfriend and I work opposite schedules so someone is always at home with your fur babies. Also with it being summer I have my two kiddos help out. I will make sure each animal has proper care including a clean safe cozy shelter, clean water, regular bathroom breaks, going on walks for at least half an hour, who knows it could be longer, and so much more!

About: I have a dog of my own and understand the responsibility that comes with taking care of your pet. I’ve always had many of pets throughout my life and would love to add your pet to my extended family. I am looking forward to showing your pet the love and attention that all humans and pets need. I live an active lifestyle so I am always out and about taking my dog on a walk. Whether it’s morning, afternoon, or night I will be walking with my pupper and would love for your pet to come along for the ride. I am a frequent attendee at the dog parks and as long as your dog is vaccinated I’m sure they would have a grand time there as well. I can feed, walk, run, and even pick up your dogs poop. I understand the responsibility that comes with pet care as I have a dog of my own who I’ve raised since he was a wee pup. I am able to work with pets of all sizes as many of my friends and family have had me watch their pets while they were away.

About: Animals have always had a special place in my heart. Growing up on a farm, I was surrounded by creatures big and small—everything from conures to bison. From an early age, I learned not just how to care for animals, but how to truly respect them. That foundation deepened over the years into a lifelong appreciation for the bond we share with our animal companions. Adopting my dog Uschi was life-changing—she taught me about unconditional love, loyal companionship, and even nudged me toward a healthier lifestyle. That experience reinforced my commitment to providing pets with the same love and care I give my own. I understand how important it is to feel confident when leaving your pet in someone else’s care. That’s why I prioritize consistency, comfort, and safety. I’ll follow your pet’s routine closely, respect any dietary needs, and make sure they feel calm and cared for every step of the way. I can’t wait to run, play, and give your sweet baby the love they deserve! I currently work remote at my own pace, so I have full availability any time of day, morning or over night. Complete flexibility to your schedule. My overnight stays are flexible and can be tailored to your pet’s specific needs. I’m happy to take care of small home tasks like bringing in the mail or taking out the trash—just let me know what you'd like. We can also go over feeding schedules, walk routines, and note any areas that are off-limits to ensure everything runs smoothly. I understand that separation anxiety is common, and I approach each visit with patience, empathy, and a calming presence. Your pet’s comfort and emotional well-being are my top priority, and I’ll make sure they feel safe, seen, and cared for in your absence. I’m also very mindful of pet nutrition—no treats or dietary changes will be made without your clear consent. I’m available for a wide range of time frames and am happy to adapt to your pet’s rhythm and routine, providing consistency, comfort, and a little extra love while you're away.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Hessen Cassel. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Hessen Cassel.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hessen Cassel. On Rover:

  • 94% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
