“Amara is a wonderful and very reliable dog sitter and dog walker. She was always on time, connected with our dog quickly, filled out the report card and was always available if we had additional questions. We can highly recommend her if you are looking for someone to watch your dog.”

About: I am a loving mother of 2 and I will care for your pets as if they were one of the kids. I have dog sit before and loved it. When I was younger I use to volunteer at the animal shelter with my great-grandma and that's the reason I love animals today. I have flexible hours and can work around your schedule, anything you need I can do from dog baths to walks at the park. We also adopted a cat a couple of years ago, and we just love him to pieces. We also just adopted a dog that we have previously sat for. I currently work at a nursing home, my boyfriend and I work opposite schedules so someone is always at home with your fur babies. Also with it being summer I have my two kiddos help out. I will make sure each animal has proper care including a clean safe cozy shelter, clean water, regular bathroom breaks, going on walks for at least half an hour, who knows it could be longer, and so much more!

About: I think what sets me apart from other individuals is my patience and love to pets. I’m a genuine guy with plenty of time in my schedule to take great and attentive care of any beloved animal. I’m also brilliant with keeping routine. I get along great with all animals. Building trust with a loved pet can be such a reward. It’s truly soul bonding. While I’m not in the position to currently house my own cat or dog doesn’t mean I’m not passionate about taking care of other furry friends.
About: I have been taking care of my 18-year-old cat since she was born. She has recently gone deaf and requires more attention. For two years, I frequently took care of a family with 5 children and 2 Great Danes. I give my cat attention daily, making sure she feels loved and content. This often includes filling her food, water, and changing her litter box, as well as many pets and cuddles. I would love to walk, play with, and take care of your pets. At home, I make sure my cat has a clean litter box and plenty of attention.

About: I grew up with small dogs and now as I've grown up I rescue bully breeds when I come across them...and cats. I am passionate about animals and after a poor experience with a dog sitter we had for years I want to be able to give others the reassurance that their pet is in good hands so they don't have to worry like I did. I currently make my own schedule and am very flexible to stop by and hang out throughout the day and night with your puppy or cat. I have a fenced in yard with 5 bully breed dogs. They are all sweet and cuddly. My dogs get fed morning and evening far enough away from each other so they don't feel like they have to eat quickly. They are kenneled when not home. All 5 of them sleep in bed with us along with some of the 4 cats I have rescued as well. All my dogs are people friendly 2 of them just take some time to warm up.
About: I have had all sorts of pets ever since I was a little kid. I have been house-sitting and dropping by to walk dogs for 6 years now, and I have never had a bad experience! About: I've taken care of dogs since I could remember, I personally have a dog named Baxter that I have taken care of sense I was 14 years old. I have taken care of a newfoundland poodle mix named Arlo for the past two years as well. I am currently training in my off season as a professional hockey player. I have two months off and nothing but love to give for dogs. I am in need of a summer job and this would be the perfect fit! Pet/animal care and safety is my number one priority. I know from personal experience what it is like when someone does not care for your pet when paid and expected to. I no longer use boarders because of past traumatic experiences and because of opportunities like Rover.
About: Animals have always had a special place in my heart. Growing up on a farm, I was surrounded by creatures big and small—everything from conures to bison. From an early age, I learned not just how to care for animals, but how to truly respect them. That foundation deepened over the years into a lifelong appreciation for the bond we share with our animal companions. Adopting my dog Uschi was life-changing—she taught me about unconditional love, loyal companionship, and even nudged me toward a healthier lifestyle. That experience reinforced my commitment to providing pets with the same love and care I give my own. I understand how important it is to feel confident when leaving your pet in someone else’s care. That’s why I prioritize consistency, comfort, and safety. I’ll follow your pet’s routine closely, respect any dietary needs, and make sure they feel calm and cared for every step of the way. I can’t wait to run, play, and give your sweet baby the love they deserve! I currently work remote at my own pace, so I have full availability any time of day, morning or over night. Complete flexibility to your schedule. My overnight stays are flexible and can be tailored to your pet’s specific needs. I’m happy to take care of small home tasks like bringing in the mail or taking out the trash—just let me know what you'd like. We can also go over feeding schedules, walk routines, and note any areas that are off-limits to ensure everything runs smoothly. I understand that separation anxiety is common, and I approach each visit with patience, empathy, and a calming presence. Your pet’s comfort and emotional well-being are my top priority, and I’ll make sure they feel safe, seen, and cared for in your absence. I’m also very mindful of pet nutrition—no treats or dietary changes will be made without your clear consent. I’m available for a wide range of time frames and am happy to adapt to your pet’s rhythm and routine, providing consistency, comfort, and a little extra love while you're away.

I’m focusing on pet sitting full-time as I get back on my feet. I can easily adjust to your schedule, provide extra care, and be available for last-minute bookings or extended stays. Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Preble. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Preble.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
