About: People often say I have a way with animals. They always seem drawn to me immediately, even when they are wary of others. I feel honored that animals feel this way about me because I feel the same about them! I have cared for many dogs of all sizes as well as owned cats. I have volunteered at a dog rescue in Thailand that has many disabled dogs as well as fostered cats/kittens here at home. I have a big fenced yard with both grass and forest to run and play. I don’t have multiple dogs staying with me at one time ( unless discussed in advance) so your baby will get all the attention. Although I will never replace you, I can provide love and safety until you return (and probably some treats and adventures too!) I'm currently not working and can dedicate my time to pet/house sitting and care. As you can see from my photo gallery, I love all animals and have volunteered at a dog rescue in Thailand, fostered kittens at home, and have seen very cool animals in the wild and at animal rescues/sanctuaries around the world. (I always vet them to make sure they are ethical and doing legit work) I have a large fenced yard and indoor space for cats or dogs. We have plenty of shade and are also willing to take pets with us on outings. I live with my husband and son and they also love and respect animals. As far as caring for pets at someone else's home, I can stay at your house or check in as often as needed. I will play with them, feed them, bathe them, take them places (if requested) and give them love. I know they miss their people and its not the same without you, but I do my best to make them feel safe and comfortable.

About: Been a proud owner of goats, cats, chickens, reptiles and dogs. I've had experience in the veterinary field, worked with and cared for livestock and house pets. I am currently working as a veterinary assistant in PV. My schedule is Monday through Thursday from 8:30/9:00am to 5pm. If your pet is able to be left home while I work then perfect! Otherwise I am fully available for long weekends. :) In my own home I have reptiles, three cats and one older dog around. If your pet is staying with me or I’m keeping them company in your own home, I always am engaging with the pet. Any opportunity to play and have some fun, we’re doing it! If they’re more laid back and want to snooze next to me, I will relax with them.

About: I've always loved having pets in my life! Along with caring for my three cats, I've volunteered at an animal shelter and previously fostered cats, giving me experience with different personalities, routines, and needs. Since our pets can't tell us what they need in words, I pay close attention to their body language, behavior, and little ways of communicating. Whether it's recognizing when a dog needs exercise, noticing when a cat is feeling overwhelmed, or understanding when an animal wants companionship or a little space, I believe in letting their individual needs guide how I care for them. I'm familiar with everyday care, including feeding schedules, fresh water, walks, grooming, litter box cleaning, and keeping their spaces comfortable. I do my best to maintain familiar routines and make their time away from family as stress-free as possible. I'm also happy to share photos and updates so you can see how your furry companions are doing! Working remotely allows me to spend much of my day at home with my pets. My cats are usually curled up nearby while I work, often taking turns cuddling in my lap as I type. In fact, my little Mitra is sitting on my lap right now as I'm filling this out. Having a flexible work-from-home routine makes it easier to incorporate feeding schedules, playtime, walks, and plenty of company throughout the day. I enjoy having animals around while I work, as they keep me just as much company as I do them. Pet care fits naturally into my daily life, and there's always room for a few more furry friends. I understand that inviting someone into your home requires a great deal of trust, and I take that responsibility seriously. My priority is to provide a safe, comfortable environment for your pets while respecting your home, privacy, and personal belongings. I will always want to be sure if there are any household instructions first, including pet care routines, security measures, and any areas designated as private. I limit my activities to the spaces necessary for caring for your pets, keep shared areas clean and organized, and ensure your home is properly secured whenever I leave. I believe clear communication is essential, so I'm happy to provide regular updates and photos, promptly address any concerns, and contact you if anything unexpected arises. My goal is for you to return to your home as you have left it, and happy, comfortable pets, with the peace of mind that both have been treated with care and respect.

About: I have had a variety of animals always in my life. I have cared for dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, fish and rodents. (All of which I've had at some point) I have also worked for a rescue charity for 7+ years which resulted in having learned basic and emergency care, as well as administration of medication. I am retired and looking to fill my time with love and cuddles. I have always enjoyed caring for the variety of animals I have and have had. I love learning all the cute special quirks and loves of every animal I interact with. I am very respectful of other people's space and items - my focus is on the animals in my charge. I can feed, walk, play and generally be a companion to any animal. I also respect the home and treat it even better than my own, ensuring that I leave the home as I found it.

About: I love pets! More than human most of the time. I enjoy talking to them and learning from them, and playing! Your baby will be in very good hands with me! I am a student and can only work part time. This kind of work is not only ideal for my schedule and financial needs, its an opportunity to make new 4 legged friends! I am not able to host any furry friends. But I can walk them around their neighborhood. Hang with them in their home with their owners are away. I've cared for many different breeds with many different needs and I am more than happy to accommodate for whatever is needed.

FAQs for Pet Sitting - Oregon House

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of November 2026, there are 662 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across Oregon House. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Oregon House. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
