About: Growing up, my family always had 3 or more pets. We have had guinea pigs, hamsters, rabbits, rats, fish, cats and of course dogs! I loved getting to know each pet's personality and behaviors. I gained experience helping take care of all our family pets. I also have experience as a volunteer for animal shelters. I volunteered in high school and again in 2019 to walk dogs and visit/socialize cats. The animal shelters have trained me on how to safely walk the dogs and I experienced a wide variety of dog breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I hope to begin volunteering again in Santa Cruz. About: I took care of dogs since I was 8. My family taught me how to make sure the dogs are fed, given water, administering oral medications, walking; etc. I also house trained my current dog. I’m currently working part-time so I’ll have plenary of free time on my plate. I usually work in the evenings. Sometimes I get called to work when needed I take my dog out for 30-45 minute walk twice a day, gave her chew brush biscuit after each walking sessions. I checked her bowl once or twice a day to ensure her water and foods are there for her to eat. I also brush Claire’s hair once a day.

Melanie is one of the only people we trust to watch our Zoey with her medical conditions. She is kind, attentive, and proactive. Today our zo had a small cut that required a bandage and Melanie noticed the bandage fell off and proactively fixed it for her before leaving. This was my second time booking Katie to drop in on my pup and I can’t recommend her enough. She was so sweet to my little pup. I’m very particular about how my dog is cared for as a dog professional myself, Katie is 10/10. I loved how long her walks were with Lola and she switched up the routes so I know my lil pup was engaged. I was so anxious leaving my pup but after a couple days I was able to relax because Katie adjusted her drop ins to how Lola was responding. She was super flexible and communicative.
