About: Hi! We’re a sibling team who loves caring for pets and treating them like family. This account is now shared between us, but my sister Kathy will be the primary caregiver and will be handling most of the communication, bookings, and day-to-day services. We both have experience caring for dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. From long walks and playtime to feeding routines and giving lots of attention, we understand that every pet has their own personality and needs. We’re comfortable following specific instructions to make sure your pet stays happy, safe, and on their normal routine while you’re away. My sister, who you’ll be mainly interacting with, is reliable, patient, and genuinely loves animals. She has hands-on experience with pet sitting, walking, and making sure pets feel comfortable in new situations. Whether your pet needs extra playtime, calm companionship, or just someone to stick to their routine, she’s got it covered. We know how important trust is when it comes to your pets, so we’re committed to clear communication, updates, and giving you peace of mind. I am a full time nursing student at the moment. I have quite a busy schedule but I am always free to give my time for dogs and cats because they bring me so much joy. I am mostly free on weekends but I do offer a full Thursday as well. For Monday’s, I have Zoom meetings every week from 4:30pm-6:45pm so if that’s something I can work on while being with your pets, it works out! I can offer to take your pets for walks, or simply play with them in the yard, or just lay around and cuddle with them if they are the more relaxed kinds. I am not offering boarding at the moment, so any services I am offering, it will be held at your place set by your rules!

“Hello Rover,, I'm new to the area and just moved into my house a month ago. Needing a cat sitter, my daughter told me to look on Rover. When i first logged on to your site, I saw Jennie's kind smile and that she was close by. So I figured it would be a win win. Boy, did I get way more than I bargained for!! I don't even know where to begin to express my gratitude and appreciation for Jennie! First, I'd like to thank her for taking care of my cat under more than extreme circumstances! I never thought I could ever get such impeccable service. The story has a twist and becomes even more extraordinary. On my recent trip, on the third day I left the country. Something told me to message Jennie and let her know I could only receive messages from messenger. As I did, I asked if everything was OK. She responded "your cat is ok". This is what followed. Evidently some sort of "Super Cell" developed and decided to dump approximately 6 inches of rain in 45 minutes on my house! Jennie saw how bad the sky looked over my way and decided to make the trip over. What normally is a 5 minute ride turned into 20 due to the rain coming down so hard she couldn't see the road. Upon her arrival, the water was 6 to 8 inches above the threshold, so she didn't want to open the door. She left and came back later to find my downstairs flooded! The water had started to receed and little Miss Wonder Woman jumped into action and advised me step by step as I, near hysteria, hung on her every message, knowing I couldn't get back til Monday (this happened Friday evening !) She moved furniture and pulled out rugs as her daughter and cousin swept the water to the street. She secured my cat in the upstairs and did her best to calm her. Jennie went out and rented a rug cleaner and cleaned my large area rug ( just a cat sitter?! Whatever!!). She turned on fans and cleaned everything she could!! Not once did I ask her to do anything --- she just took care of everything. When I asked her why she did it, her response was, "That's how I was raised, you help people". At that moment I could have kissed her parents on the mouth! My cat is now healed from the trauma, still skittish, but that's to be expected. The house is getting back together, but it would have been a total loss without Jennie's help. Thank you Jennie for working so hard for 3 straight days and restoring my faith in humans , there's still good ones out there! ❤ Rover, you just don't know what you have! Sincerely, Donna Matteson”

About: I've walked my family dogs, and cats for family members for 10 years. To feed them, give them medication and walk and play with them. I also care for my cat (Gabby). I currently work with a small family business for most of my day. Sundays I have all day to play and care for your pets. Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays I can pass by or do overnight boarding after 5pm. Tuesday and Thursday I attend classes, I'm free around 11am-3pm, but if anything changes I'll keep this updated. I have a cat and she's curious of other animals but she always keeps her distance. I feed her 3 times a day max. She tends to be on her own little schedule every day, but I also take her on daily walks. She's a cat who loves to explore everything with me.

“Emily W. did an excellent job caring for my two cats. My cats are very shy, but Emily did her best to make them feel comfortable. She even put my trash and recycling cans out on trash day and returned them to the garage. I would highly recommend her and will definitely use her again.”

About: Animals aren’t just pets to me. They are individuals with emotions, personalities, and needs that deserve to be understood and respected. You can feel completely at ease knowing their happiness, comfort, and safety are always my top priority. As an animal rights advocate, I approach every animal with genuine compassion and awareness, tailoring my care to who they are, not just what they need on paper. Whether they are energetic, shy, playful, or sensitive, I meet them where they are and give them the attention and love that helps them feel truly safe and seen. You can trust that I will show up consistently, follow routines closely, and create a calm, caring environment while you are away. I do not just watch animals. I connect with them, care for them, and treat them like they matter, because they do. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, and I structure my schedule to allow consistent time for walks, feeding, check-ins, and companionship. I generally maintain a flexible routine, which allows me to adjust based on each pet’s needs and the specific care plan we agree on. I’m intentional about not overbooking so I can stay attentive and responsive while pets are in my care. My availability can vary slightly week to week, but I prioritize clear communication and planning in advance to ensure expectations are aligned and your pet’s routine is supported as closely as possible. I aim to create a calm, safe, and comfortable environment based on each pet’s routine and personality. Whether I’m in your home or mine, I follow your instructions closely while staying attentive to how your pet is feeling. In your home, I keep things consistent with their normal schedule so they feel secure. In my home, I maintain a clean, low-stress space with close supervision and attention to safety and care. I stay mindful during walks and interactions and avoid anything that could feel overwhelming or risky. I also provide regular updates with photos and check in if anything seems off so we can decide what’s best together. I do not have pets of my own, but there are pets in the home belonging to my roommates. They are well-managed, and I take care to ensure safe, controlled interactions. I can also keep pets fully separated at all times if preferred

About: One of my favorite things in the whole world are animals, especially dogs. 🐶 I had the most amazing dog, a yorkie mix named Spencer. 🐕 Rescuing him was one of the best decisions I ever made! He was the sweetest, funniest, most adventurous and loyal dog. I rescued him but he truly rescued me. We had 10 years together and I am truly grateful for every moment. I miss him everyday. But I know I gained a guardian angel. 🐶🩵😇 I have always loved dog sitting and taking care of animals. When my dog Spencer passed, taking care of other peoples animals truly helped heal me from losing Spencer. It became a passion and a calling. Pet sitting is one of the biggest joys in my life. 🌄 I love to take care of dogs, keep them safe, spend time in nature with them, and have them enjoy the best life possible! 🏞 I have taken care of 1-5 dogs/cats at a time. My services include house sitting, drop ins, and dog walking.🐕🦺 I can do dog feedings and cook for dogs. I am trained in special diets like RMF (rotational mono feeding). I can give and administer treats, supplements, medicine, pills, and injections. I am trained in administering dogs and cats insulin. I have taken care of dogs that had diabetes, kidney problems, and heart issues. I am trained in giving pills, injections, and special diets. 🍲 I can take dogs on trails or dog parks, exercise them with their toys, and anything else that is part of their routine. 🐶🏃♀️ I work for Catapult Learning as a Teacher/Tutor. I set my own schedule and my hours are flexible. I also have school breaks and summers off. So I have a lot of time to take care of your precious fur baby 🐶❤️🐕🦺 My services are house sitting for your pets. Dogs and cats are the most comfortable in their own home. I will keep the routine you and your family have set for your animals. I will keep your animals: safe, fed, and loved. With lots of cuddles, playing with toys, and exercise. ❤️🐕🦺🏠
“Christine was awesome! She always came around the same time, which and important because our cats liked their daily treat at a certain time, did all the things we asked of her and spent time with our cats. We are so appreciative of her visits and felt confident with her caring for our cats. Will definitely utilize her service again in the future!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
