“Tabby did an excellent job with our two dogs house-sitting during a two-week vacation. She provided regular updates to us with clear communication and photos; our dogs love her! I highly recommend Tabby!”

About: Hi! I’m a reliable and caring pet sitter who loves working with both dogs and cats. I have experience with dogs of all sizes—from small breeds to large, high-energy pups—as well as both trained and untrained dogs. I’m patient, adaptable, and comfortable handling different personalities, whether your dog needs structure, extra guidance, or just a fun, active walk. I also have a soft spot for cats and understand that each one has their own unique personality. Whether your cat is playful, shy, or independent, I take the time to make them feel safe and comfortable while keeping their routine consistent. Safety and trust are always my top priorities. I pay close attention to each pet’s needs and energy level to make sure they feel happy, secure, and cared for. I’m dependable, communicative, and will keep you updated so you have peace of mind while you’re away. I treat every pet like my own—with patience, love, and lots of care! 🐾 As a full-time teacher, I bring consistency, responsibility, and care into everything I do—including pet care! During the school year, I’m available for before-school walks and afternoon/evening visits, typically after 4:30 PM. I love starting or ending a pet’s day with exercise, attention, and routine, so they feel happy and cared for while you’re busy. My schedule is reliable, and I always communicate clearly so you know your pet is in good hands. With summer right around the corner, my availability will be opening up significantly! I’ll be able to offer more flexible scheduling, additional walks, drop-ins, and extended pet sitting services. Whether it’s a quick morning walk, an after-school visit, or more frequent care in the summer, I’m here to help keep your pets happy, active, and well cared for! 🐾 ⸻ Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are my top priorities. I provide in-home pet sitting and walks so your pet can stay in a familiar, stress-free environment while you’re away. Being in their own home helps pets feel secure, and I work hard to keep their routine as consistent as possible. I’m dependable, respectful of your space, and committed to building trust with both you and your pet. I follow all care instructions closely—whether it’s feeding schedules, medications, walk routines, or special preferences. I also prioritize safety on every walk by staying alert, using secure handling, and adapting to your pet’s needs and behavior. You can expect clear communication and regular updates, so you always know how your pet is doing. I treat every home with care and every pet like family, creating a calm, safe, and positive experience from start to finish.
About: I've been around cats and dogs my whole life, but started taking care of dogs around the time I was 12 and moreso with cats around 13. We adopted a dog when I was 12 and I fed her, walked her, bathed her, taught her tricks, played with her, we'd even cuddle! We fostered a dog from a hoarder and had another dog after the loss of the last one and I continued to repeat the cycle with this big crazy whippersnapper! Where I was working part-time just closed for the season, so I have plenty of free time for playing with your pups and kitties!!! When I'm not in school, I'll be taking care of my pets and helping my mom out with them around the house, she does Rover too and recommended I get on it. For drop ins, I like to meet the pet first and learn about their likes and dislikes and where to find all of their things. I like to ask questions on how to make sure they feel most comfortable with a new person and try to follow that advice to make sure they feel their best. For walks, I like to get an idea of where they like to walk and any behaviors I can expect while walking them before we head out on our adventure!
“WOW what a great experience! David was amazing he sent me pictures and updates on my boy! Gunner was so well taken care of! it is hard traveling and hoping that someone is taking care of your pup like you would! my house was left exactly as i left it! in the future should i need someone to watch my dog I would definitely reach out and have David care for Gunner! thank you so much”

“It's very comforting to know when you leave your special friend, that someone will take good care of them. Amelia was wonderful, very caring, she sends lots of pics and Kenzy told me they had a great time!!!!”

“Hands down, Guinevere has been the best dog sitter we’ve ever had. She responded in a very timely manner, kept us updated on how our three dogs were doing and sent many pictures. Two of our dogs normally go on a hunger strike when we leave, but this was no problem with Guinevere there. She even won over our crabby dog! House was left cleaner than when we left. We’re excited to book with Guinevere again in the near future.”

“Justina has housesat for us twice now (once for about two weeks and once for a weekend) and watched my two pups and cat. She’s done an awesome job, kept us informed, sent pictures, and left the house very clean. We’ll be using her again anytime we travel!!”

About: I have taken care of not only my own 4 dogs but neighbors dogs as well. I have spent a lot of time around animals. I work part-time and go to college full time, but I usually have a decent amount of free time. I would love to spend my free time helping someone out with animals I enjoy working with. In my home my dogs run around in a fenced in yard. For other people it depends on the service what I am able to offer but I am lenient with many things
“Dani was amazing! She is clear in communication and took extra steps to take excellent care of my pup and was extra courteous while staying at my home. Highly recommend for pet sitting needs.”
“Phoebe was awesome! She kept us informed all day about how Maisey was doing. She took her on walks, rubbed her belly and took great care of her. She also sent us lots of pics throughout the day which I really appreciate. Can’t wait for her to stay with Maisey again”

“Robert did great with our 2 Great Danes. He gave daily updates with pictures and was very responsive to all texts. He stuck to the dog’s schedule and made sure they were well taken care of while we were away. I definitely plan to use Robert again next time we go away!”

“Ilene was great usual! Not only does she take extra care with our finicky pups, but she is very respectful of our home and always leaves it in perfect condition. Highly recommend her and I will continue to book her!”

“Morgan did a FABULOUS job watching my two dogs while I was away for the weekend. I was nervous about having a new petsitter come, but Morgan put my fears at ease instantly. She sent awesome photo updates all weekend long. She was on time and super attentive to my dogs. I know they were happy having her watch them. And I'm pretty sure my house was better organized than when I left it! Thank you Morgan. She is a very professional and caring petsitter and I'm happy to provide this review!”

“Kat is wonderful! She takes such great care of our dogs and cat. She is kind, caring, and goes out of her way to make sure our pets are comfortable and happy when we're away.”

“Maria was an amazing dog sitter! She came to our house ahead of watching them to meet our pups and get information about their daily routine. When she watched the dogs, she sent daily photos and updates, providing us with ease of mind while away on our trip. We would love to have Maria back to watch our dogs in the future. :)”

“Gabrielle was the absolute best find for our high energy one year old German shepherd Willow. Willow is a very high maintenance dog who requires a lot of attention and exercise, and Gabrielle exceeded our expectations as a dog sitter to make sure she was taken care of. She was extremely attentive to all of Willows needs and cleaned our entire house before we came back home. I feel lucky to have found her!!”

“Michelle was awesome! Our fur babies loved her! She let us know when she arrived and gave them lots of love. She sent us pictures and updates of our guys. She was great and we plan on using her again.”

As of August 2026, there are 1,742 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Old Zionsville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Old Zionsville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Old Zionsville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Old Zionsville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Old Zionsville. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
