About: I'm Lydia, I have knowledge on different breeds and temperaments, body language, schedule and structure, positive reinforcement and redirection. I have worked in a couple doggy daycares and found that I prefer in home care in order to provide as much individual care as I can throughout your pets day. Pet care is just as important as self care! Pet care is just as important as self care! They rely on us so I enjoy anticipating their needs to ensure exceptional care. Daily exercise is important as well, and I understand different pets have different activity needs. I tailor my care to the needs of the pet. What does their daily schedule look like? What do they enjoy? My goal is to make sure their life feels as normal as possible while their pet parents are away.

About: I’ve been caring for animals for over 10 years and have experience with both dogs and cats of all different ages, personalities, and needs. I’ve cared for seniors, special-needs pets, anxious animals, and pets who need oral medications or a little extra patience. I’m big on following each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible — meals, walks, medications, playtime, bedtime, and all the little things they’re used to at home. Some pets want to be attached to your hip, while others need time and space to warm up, and I’m happy to let them set the pace. I have two cats of my own and have had cats throughout my life, so I’m very comfortable with cat care as well as dogs. I’m used to everything from easygoing pets to the stubborn, mischievous, and “will absolutely eat that if you turn around for two seconds” variety. Most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable while you’re away. I’ll pay attention to your instructions, keep you updated, and make sure your pet is safe, comfortable, and getting plenty of attention. I spend most of my free time at home and have a pretty flexible routine, so I’m able to give pets plenty of attention, playtime and company. We always start the day with a morning walk before I head to work, and I’m usually home by 3pm for the rest of the afternoon and evening. When I’m not home, my husband usually is, so there’s typically someone around to keep an eye on things and give your pet some company. I can sometimes accommodate short-notice requests, and I live right next to two parks in a safe neighborhood with plenty of places to walk. My home is kept pretty pet-safe — my two cats are professional troublemakers, so they’ve made sure we don’t leave much out that curious pets can get into. It’s just my husband and me at home, so there aren’t lots of unfamiliar people coming and going. We have a fully fenced backyard, and the house is mostly hardwood and tile, so scratches, muddy paws, and normal pet messes aren’t something I stress about. If your pet needs their own space, they can also have an entire room to themselves for a quiet, comfortable place to relax.

Dogs have been apart of my life since I was 7, when we took in a stray basset hound named Scarlett. She was a kindred old soul. Because I travel a lot for work, I'm unable to have my own, but this is the next best thing! I've watched Chihuahuas and Golden Retrievers, old dogs barely able to leave the house and little pups who never wanted to stay inside. I've found that Black Labs are great to run lines with and Huskies actually love the sun! Whatever the needs, whatever the occasion, I am ready and game! I am a working freelance actor and writer for stage, film, and TV so my schedule is quite varied depending on what project I am working on at any given time. This does allow for a lot of flexibility in my routine. I have a deep passion for animal care and I can ensure that your pets will be as loved as possible while you are away.
