“Julia welcomed Wilson into her home like he was one of theirs. She kept to his schedule and his likings and so much more. Wilson had a fabulous time. He was spoiled for sure! She also sent daily pictures and updates. My husband and I knew he was getting the best care he could get outside of our home. Wilson is a Jack Russel, and sometimes they are a handful if they get bored. Julia knew exactly how to keep him busy so that didn’t happen. We are thrilled we have found a home away from home, when we need someone to care for him. Thank you Julia!”

“Melissa and her family did such a great job with Tucker while we were out of state for a family wedding. Tucker tends to have separation anxiety when away from his people, but he was very at home with Melissa! Thank you for providing peace of mind while we were away!”

“Kristin gave regular updates with pics and vids which set our mind at ease that all was well with our pets. I really get a sense that she cared for them like they were her own. Highly recommend”

“Heather and her husband Chris were amazing. We got updates all the time without even asking… which honestly meant a lot to us. Our dog looked so happy in every photo and she came home tired which is always a good sign. Heather was super quick to reply to any message and booking with her was way easier than I expected. We were in a bit of a bind since we needed a sitter only 10 days out and she still made the whole thing smooth and even fit in a meet and greet. You can tell right away how much they love dogs so I knew my Finely girl was really in good hands. I would book with them again without even thinking twice!”

“We felt very comfortable having our pup with Julie and her family. She sent many pictures and updates and it was so nice to see that her family was enjoying caring for our dog. We would definitely use Julie when we travel to Door County again!”

“Meeko stayed with her for over a week, and we had a wonderful experience! Since he’s still a young puppy, I was nervous about leaving him, but he was well cared for and had a great time playing in the fenced-in yard. He came home happy, and it was clear he felt comfortable there. We would definitely book with her again!”

“Shanna is great. She very sincerely cares about both her animals and her boarder's animals. She checked in with me frequently and made a point of engaging with my dog and make him feel at home. I look forward to boarding with her again.”

“For a recent week - long vacation, we left our 3 year old golden doodle with Jeff. This was our first time using Rover and leaving her in someone else's home. After an initial meet and greet, we felt very comfortable with Jeff and Ember loved his fenced in yard. We liked the photo and written updates we received while vacationing. Jeff provided daily walks and outside time. He respected Ember's schedule and tried to maintain her schedule. In addition to our toys and treats, he also provided some. We will definitely use Jeff's boarding for future get aways.”

“We loved working with Kimberly. She watched our dog for the first time and suggested a meet and greet to make sure she was a good fit with her own dog. We loved that and it made us trust her from the start. When we met her, Kimberly asked us many questions about our dog that made us feel like she would take very good care of her. Also, Kimberly’s home is quite literally the perfect set up for dogs. We know that our dog loved staying there and we enjoyed the updates Kimberly sent us throughout her stay. We will definitely be using her again in the future!”

“What can I say? Melissa was amazing. Needed a sitter for our Weimaraner at the last minute. Needed to leave town for family reasons. Called the usual suspects. They gave me the dog and pony show. No pun. Ridiculous what you got to go through to board your dog these days. A few of my friends and customers recommended Rover. I went on there and checked it out. In about 30 minutes from first seeing it, to signing up, I had already booked Melissa to watch our dog Kaiser. I arranged to bring him over, and she couldn't have been any more sweet. I can really tell that she loves animals. Very cool chick too. Our dog was in good hands the couple days he was there. When we got him back, he was well rested, and had none of the anxiety boarding can bring on. It's great to know I have someone that I can rely on if we leave town for any reason to watch after our pooch. I couldn't recommend her anymore. Thank you!”

“Great set up with the yard...friendly dogs...and Tara and her husband were very communicative. Dealing with them made you feel like they really cared and it wasn't just a job. Definitely recommend!”

“Kaylyn was absolutely amazing!!! My Dakota had so much fun! She gave her Christmas presents and always kept me updated on how Dakota was doing!! And her own dogs were so welcoming of Dakota! If you need a sitter for your dog/s, Kaylyn is the go to person! Definitely will be back!”

“We were so happy to find Aryn on Rover to care for our dogs for a weekend away! She was especially patient with one of our dogs that experiences separation anxiety. We really appreciated her communication and care for our dogs!”

About: I have had pets all my life and we love having furry friends come for play dates with our dog. We have watched several friends dogs for the day as well as for longer term. Though I am new to sitting on Rover , we have used Rover and want to provide in home sitting in our area. My husband and I are retired so someone is always home most of the time. We take walks about every 4 hours and have a fenced back yard (as well as a kennel area) if pups need get a bit of run around time. Our dog (Pip) loves to walk around the park or play in the back yard. Pip, our dog, loves to play with friends of all sizes and shares toys well. We allow pets on the furniture, but not in the bed. We do have a couple crates if they are needed so you don’t need to bring your own. We would feed pups in separate spaces and have lots of treats to share if your pup can have treats.
“Holly was great! My dog Ivy loved staying at their place. She made a new best friend and loved the extra attention. Highly recommend and will use them again when we go out of town.”

“My mini poodle absolutely LOVES going to Camp Laura! Penny stayed with Laura recently for several days, and Laura took such amazing care of her. Penny got to walk and go to the dog park daily, play with Laura's pets and sleep in comfort each night. I never worry when Penny stays with Laura because Laura is so kind and caring. We will enlist Laura again when we need a safe and happy place for Penny! Thank you, Laura!”

“Graciel was AMAZING with Maddie, our Maltipoo! Maddie is 2+ years old and not used to being away from my wife and me. We were apart for a week. Graciel was great at getting Maddie used to her new environment. She corresponded with us daily, giving us updates and sending pictures. (Graciel understood that while Maddie needed to be well cared for, her "parents" also needed to be reassured that all was well.) Bottom line - Graciel is highly responsible and reliable...she is a 5-star pet sitter! The next time that we need to leave Maddie with a sitter, we will call on Graciel.”

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
