“We left our dog with Julie overnight while we went to a Packers game. It was great to not have to worry knowing our dog was being taken care of! Julie sent multiple pictures and was a good communicator!”

“Melissa and her family was amazing! We were so nervous bringing our very geriatric dog (16yr, 5mo) to anyone, but she really made us feel at ease. She has experience with other geriatric dogs and her own yorkie. We received an update and pictures of a very happy dog while we were on vacation. He was ready to go when I said I'd pick him up but didn't want to leave. He was even tired when he got home from the fun at her house. Highly recommend!”
“I was gone for 10 days and was nervous about leaving my dogs. They had fun making new friends and were well taken care of. Thanks to Melissa for the great job. She reassured this nervous mama via text and let me know my girls were doing great. She even reported that my picky eater ate!”

“Angela was amazing and went above and beyond for our pups. I felt comfortable from the moment I met her & she took excellent care of our 2 little dogs for 10 nights in her home during a historic blizzard. She still took them for walks & sent us updates throughout our trip. She was very accommodating with drop off & pick up times & I would absolutely use her again!”

“This was the first time using Rover and had a great experience with Holly and her family. We had 11 days reserved that turned into 12 due to a flight cancellation which Holly was able to accommodate. Once we came home, Max, my pup, went right to bed which means he was one tired pup. I’m sure the 3 dogs Holly has kept him going 24/7. Holly sent daily touch bases with pics throughout our trip which is all we were basically looking for. We hope to start to traveling more and Holly will be first on the Rover list.”

“Shelby was great. Without hesitation, she was more than willing to accommodate our goldendoodle with his daily medication schedule. She provided frequent updates while we were away and made is away of any possible concerns.”
About: I grew up with cats, but have become a dog lover as an adult! We currently have 2 pups in our home, a spunky 1 year old mixed breed rescue and a 4 year old mellow husky/lab rescue. We have a fenced-in yard for lots of playtime and live 2 minutes away from the dog park if they need more space! I work part-time so I am able to offer doggy daycare multiple days per week, including weekends. I am OK with short notice and last minute drop-in needs! I have a fenced-in yard and 2 friendly dogs to keep your pup company! We have a crate which can be used if needed, lots of toys, and sleigh bells on the door for potty training needs! We can also walk to the dog park down the road if your pup needs more exercise!
“I can’t say enough wonderful things about Laura! We had a last minute care cancellation and needed a sitter for our 4 month old puppy. Not only did she take him in as one of her own, she helped safely build his confidence and helped him socialize with her gentle and well mannered dogs and cat of her own. I got multiple updates throughout the weekend, lots of pictures and best part is we were able to enjoy our best friend’s wedding because our worries were truly at ease knowing he was being taken care of by Laura. Will absolutely be looking to Laura first for any puppy care needs moving forward and I HIGHLY recommend having your fur baby stay with her ❤️”

“Becca was Awesome! We needed to book last minute and she was able to accommodate. We recieved lots of pictures and updates. My wife and I were very thrilled with the updates. Bo is extremely tired and I can tell they played alot. Would recommend Becca to anyone. We look forward to future bookings.”

“We were so happy to find Aryn on Rover to care for our dogs for a weekend away! She was especially patient with one of our dogs that experiences separation anxiety. We really appreciated her communication and care for our dogs!”

“Stefanie did an awesome job with Dusty. She kept me informed on how he was doing and included pictures. She was flexible and great communication. Highly recommend and will use her in my future.”

“Bryana was wonderful! She took our our dogs, within a days notice, when we were in a pickle. She communicated well, was friendly, flexible, and kept us update on our boys! Would definitely recommend.”
About: I have been dog sitting for over 20 years. Love dogs, and helping them have great experiences. I foster dogs, and volunteer at animal care clinics. I have two of my own pups, and a foster dog. I have schedule flexibility to provide care in your home, and there is a possibly of care in my home if all dogs get along. I have a fenced in potty area, and a huge yard. I strongly believe in positive training, positive reinforcement - I’ve taken training classes with my pups and foster pups in positive training methods and use that with all the dogs I engage with.
“We found Allison because our regular Rover puppy-sitter was on vacation at the same time as us:) and what a find! She's wonderful. She is a loving dog mamma herself! Just from meeting and talking with Allison, we knew she would be a great fit for our Lucy - and we were right! Lucy is a "people" dog and is very used to being around the whole family all day during this pandemic. Allison brought Lucy with her everywhere - while she worked, cooked, everywhere which is what Lucy loves is just to be near. She gave great feedback which confirmed she got to know Lucy. We received detailed updates on how Lucy was doing & lots of sweet photos (our kids really appreciated it too!) Allison is a sweetheart - we will definitely book with her again soon!!”

“Kerry and her family took amazing care of our boxer, Betsy, while we were away for a week. From the start, Kerry was quick and easy to communicate with, which made the whole process stress-free. What really stood out were the daily updates and pictures—seeing Betsy happy, relaxed, and clearly loved gave us so much peace of mind while we were on vacation. It truly felt like Betsy was part of their family during her stay. She went on daily walks, got plenty of attention, and was very well cared for the entire time. You could tell Kerry genuinely enjoys dogs, and her whole family embraced Betsy like their own. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and would absolutely trust Kerry again in the future!”

About: Big dogs, small dogs, medium dogs I can do it all! My family dog of 10+ just past away recently so this is how I'm filling that dog shaped hole in my heart. I live in a house with a large fenced in yard and work from home so your pup will get plenty of attention if you choose to board with me! I'm free at almost any day and any time! I prefer afternoons or evenings but I can do mornings as well if needed. My schedule is very flexible. My family dog of 10 years just died recently but before that he enjoyed a long and fulfilled life. I've also been cat sitting for friends and neighbors years now. The people I live with are allergic to cats so cat sitting is how I get to enjoy being around feline companions!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Pensaukee home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Pensaukee.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Pensaukee sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
