“What can I say? Melissa was amazing. Needed a sitter for our Weimaraner at the last minute. Needed to leave town for family reasons. Called the usual suspects. They gave me the dog and pony show. No pun. Ridiculous what you got to go through to board your dog these days. A few of my friends and customers recommended Rover. I went on there and checked it out. In about 30 minutes from first seeing it, to signing up, I had already booked Melissa to watch our dog Kaiser. I arranged to bring him over, and she couldn't have been any more sweet. When we got him back, he was well rested, and had none of the anxiety boarding can bring on. About: I have had pets all my life and we love having furry friends come for play dates with our dog. We have watched several friends dogs for the day as well as for longer term. Though I am new to sitting on Rover , we have used Rover and want to provide in home sitting in our area. My husband and I are retired so someone is always home most of the time. We take walks about every 4 hours and have a fenced back yard (as well as a kennel area) if pups need get a bit of run around time. Our dog (Pip) loves to walk around the park or play in the back yard. Pip, our dog, loves to play with friends of all sizes and shares toys well. We allow pets on the furniture, but not in the bed. We do have a couple crates if they are needed so you don’t need to bring your own. We would feed pups in separate spaces and have lots of treats to share if your pup can have treats.

About: I've taken care of cats since I was a little girl, a long time ago. We had kittens, tom cats, and even a very large cat named Casey. I loved them all. My daughter's cat sleeps with me when I am there. My son's cats will lie on my computer. My family and clients' cats love to be brushed, pet, and given treats. Litter boxes are kept clean, and water dishes are cleaned daily. I would love to come sit with your cat. Most important is that they stay in their home environment without any disruption. About: I absolutely love animals and would be happy to meet your pet and take care of him/her. I have lived with everything from huskies to geckos so I know my fair share around animals. Additionally, I previously volunteered at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, at which I worked in the wildlife department to help care for the animals and spent time in college handling wild animals. I am caring for an animal every day of the week. I can fit in a lot given my flexible work schedule and ability to travel. Everyone has different standards for pet care, and I am open to adapting and curating care based on individuals and pet needs. I can be a great service in keeping your pet active when needed, and to help keep them calm when necessary. I know socializing and connecting are a huge need to properly care for animals, so as an animal lover I always try to find a connection with the animals I care for

“Julia welcomed Wilson into her home like he was one of theirs. She kept to his schedule and his likings and so much more. Wilson had a fabulous time. He was spoiled for sure! She also sent daily pictures and updates. My husband and I knew he was getting the best care he could get outside of our home. Wilson is a Jack Russel, and sometimes they are a handful if they get bored. Julia knew exactly how to keep him busy so that didn’t happen. We are thrilled we have found a home away from home, when we need someone to care for him. Thank you Julia!”

Our dog looked so happy in every photo and she came home tired which is always a good sign. Heather was super quick to reply to any message and booking with her was way easier than I expected. We were in a bit of a bind since we needed a sitter only 10 days out and she still made the whole thing smooth and even fit in a meet and greet. “For a recent week - long vacation, we left our 3 year old golden doodle with Jeff. This was our first time using Rover and leaving her in someone else's home. After an initial meet and greet, we felt very comfortable with Jeff and Ember loved his fenced in yard. We liked the photo and written updates we received while vacationing. Jeff provided daily walks and outside time. He respected Ember's schedule and tried to maintain her schedule. In addition to our toys and treats, he also provided some. We will definitely use Jeff's boarding for future get aways.”
“We loved working with Kimberly. She watched our dog for the first time and suggested a meet and greet to make sure she was a good fit with her own dog. We loved that and it made us trust her from the start. When we met her, Kimberly asked us many questions about our dog that made us feel like she would take very good care of her. Also, Kimberly’s home is quite literally the perfect set up for dogs. We know that our dog loved staying there and we enjoyed the updates Kimberly sent us throughout her stay. “What can I say? Melissa was amazing. Needed a sitter for our Weimaraner at the last minute. Needed to leave town for family reasons. Called the usual suspects. They gave me the dog and pony show. No pun. Ridiculous what you got to go through to board your dog these days. A few of my friends and customers recommended Rover. I went on there and checked it out. In about 30 minutes from first seeing it, to signing up, I had already booked Melissa to watch our dog Kaiser. I arranged to bring him over, and she couldn't have been any more sweet. I can really tell that she loves animals. Very cool chick too. Our dog was in good hands the couple days he was there. When we got him back, he was well rested, and had none of the anxiety boarding can bring on. It's great to know I have someone that I can rely on if we leave town for any reason to watch after our pooch. I couldn't recommend her anymore. Thank you!”
