About: Their fur babies will be treated just like they’re part of my fur family. I will follow any special requests that we work out. Plus I worked with a dog rescue so I have access to tons of information if I need to receive new knowledge on something. I live in Oakridge so I also have access to local hiking trails and have a decent knowledge of local water areas that are safe and wonderful for pups of all ages and sizes to enjoy. Their fur child will have plenty of one on one attention from me, they will not feel left out or unloved. I will keep you in the know if your fur baby is behaving ill. I’ll even take plenty of pictures of them enjoying their time and share them with you. I am currently on temporary disability due to surgery. I just had so I’m unavailable at this time but once I have been released to do light stuff around the home, I will be able to take on some clients again. If there’s any safety concerns, we can discuss what they are and what we can do to address them. We are currently trying to save up to get our fence redone to ensure that there are no issues with your baby getting loose.
About: At this point in my life, I have cared for almost any domestic, exotic or farm animal that one can run into! Time spent working with snakes and spiders in a reptile shop, working on farms with cattle, goats and chickens, and caring for everyones furry companions like cats, dogs and rodents in homes has left me feeling well prepared to handle whatever critters come our way. My remaining pet is Sharkbait, a 9 year old heeler mix, who has been the everywhere and everything dog with me for the last 8+ years. She has met all of the above animals in her time and is the ultimate friend to all. As a retired service animal, she is kind and intuitive while responding calmly to reactive animals she meets. This makes her the perfect travel companion and buddy for all your babies and she will always be with me on sitting and walking jobs as she and I like to stay very active, walking anywhere from 2-6 miles daily together. Lets chat about your animals specific needs and background! Being active is a huge part of my day and I love making sure your animals are included in that! Walks to the park and jogs around the block are my favorite way to keep your pets focus while expending that pent up energy. For homebody pets I love a good puzzle or snuffle toy to keep their minds working in their safe space. Meet and greets together as a family are priority so that when you're out of town or at work, your pet(s) can trust Sharkbait and I are there to support them. Any candid tips and tricks around behaviors or routines are welcomed.
“Kaylee was fabulous house/pet sitting with our 2 dogs and 4 cats for four days. Followed instructions to the ‘T’ and went above beyond; very communicative and reassuring.”

About: I've raised my own dogs, cared for many friends animals, have a genuine respect for canines, and I couldn't think of a greater way to spend my time. I work from home, on my own schedule. I've recently lost a dog, and caring for others animals seems like a great way to meet my needs while helping in ways that make me happy I care for them very nicely. Open to hearing from pet owners whatever quirks or things I need to know, I'm all ears! I'm new to the service so I'm open to whatever your pet needs!
About: I’ve always had dogs around since I was a little kid & I’ve yet to meet one I didn’t like! I have a lot of free time and have spent much time dropping in on friends’ and family’s animals during work-hours for playtime, walks, potty breaks, playdates with my pooch, etc. I am a self-employed musician with usually way too much free time while others have to be at work- help me fill my schedule with walks, potty breaks, and playtime while you work, and housesitting when you travel! :) My current dog is a Dane-Lab mix with a ton of personality who is very social and could be requested for play dates. Having said this I am not intimidated by large breeds with puppy energy, I’ve seen it all! And I know how important proper situational control and planning is in ensuring dogs are safe and comfortable.
“We are 100% pleased/satisfied with Megan’s care of Dude. He weighs 100 lbs and will jump on people and get mouthy when he meets some people. He eventually calms down, but depending upon the person it can take awhile. Megan quickly got him under control. She was loving and was able to get him follow her commands. She happily came to meet him before her stay with him and easily walked him. We were very comfortable with him in her care. In addition she is a wonderful human being who is actively involved in her community. I enjoyed meeting and talking with her.”

About: I love all critters and have an especially soft place in my heart for the elderly and/or disabled. I started by volunteering for neighbors friends on trips or working 12 hours shifts, just to stay busy, and it was awesome to see how my daily visits helped their overall health over time. Visiting with critters is always the highlight of my day. I move slowly, carefully, speak softly, so my energy is a great fit for older or anxious animals. I love them all, and every step. Greeting, walking, playing, chilling, pets and massage, special diets, and I have no problem helping administer medicine or any extra special care that is needed. It would be an honor to be of service for you and your fur baby :) I am flexible and available, single, no kids, and also a home care worker. I only work 4 hour shifts, so pet care can very easily fit in and around my other work schedule. When I meet you and your pet, you can show me the care routine, and I will confirm that I understand every step. What works well is if the supplies are visible and steps are also written down and left somewhere I can refer to if needed. I will take photos to either text or email you while I am at your home with an update for each visit.
About: I've had experience with lots of animals, from Puppies to Snakes to Cows. I've helped birth Dogs, Lambs, Cows, Pigs, Goats, and much more. I'm almost always available to! (Same day bookings are alright!)💞 I've learned first aid when it comes to a good majority of animals that can be kept as pets, and I can also follow any care plan that is given to me, down to a T. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope I can give snuggles to your fur babies and be your next sitter!❤️ I'm currently not working and have the full day to go off whatever schedule you have created for your fur baby. I am usually able to change my schedule howevers needed to accommodate you! I have no yard, but I happily walk my dogs 4 times a day, sometimes 6 depending on their needs or your dog's needs. I am a sober individual that can pay attention and care for your family member the whole time with no problem. Thank you!
“Maggie is an excellent pet sitter who genuinely cares for animals! Our pets loved her and she made us feel comfortable by sending updates and pics while we were away. Maggie communicates well and with clarity. She is reliable and professional. It is a gift to be able to go away and know that your fur babies are in great hands. We will definitely call on Maggie again!”

About: About Me Hi, I’m Emily! I’ve had dogs my entire life and quite frankly, I can’t imagine a home without them. I love them so much that if your pup is used to sleeping on the bed, I am more than happy to end up in a giant pile of dog cuddles at night! Of course, if they have strict kennel rules or sleep in their own space, I am incredibly respectful of maintaining your structure and boundaries. My Specialized Experience & Training Philosophy I don’t just watch "easy" dogs—I am deeply confident and experienced with large, powerful breeds and complex behavioral needs. My own rescue is an 80lb powerhouse who is highly reactive toward other animals, especially on walks. Navigating her world means I know exactly how to manage a strong dog under pressure, stay hyper-aware of our surroundings, and maintain absolute control to keep everyone safe. Because of my years spent training my own dog, I am highly comfortable working with a variety of training tools and structures. I am experienced with and confident utilizing prong collars and e-collars (shock collars) if your dog's current training regimen requires them. I firmly believe in consistency, so whatever rules, tools, or boundaries you have established at home are exactly what I will enforce while you're away. What I Offer Whether your dog needs a calm, highly structured environment, a patient handler who can handle a chaotic walk, or just a dedicated companion to watch scary movies with them on the couch, I’ve got you covered. Your pup’s safety, mental peace, and routine are my absolute highest priorities. I can’t wait to meet your furry family member! I’m currently working full time as a mental health/drug and alcohol counselor. My schedule varies - I have weekends off and am typically available all day all night Friday - Saturdays, Sundays I have some home stuff/grocery shopping to take care of but will be able to drop in for visits or even stay some Sunday nights. My job is pretty self paced and mostly remote so I am able to adjust my schedule around my clients. If you're looking for someone who is highly organized and completely unflappable, my background is a perfect fit. I was a full-time nanny for years, successfully managing three young kids alongside all the household cooking, cleaning, and laundry. That experience gave me sharp common sense, an ability to learn complex routines quickly, and a deep respect for house rules. Whether your pets have a meticulous schedule or your home requires extra care, I can seamlessly jump right in—and I’ll gladly help keep the house clean and tidy while I'm there
“Lily did a great job taking care of our dog, Watson and our kitty, Holmes. She kept us up to date each day and sent us photos of our sweet fur babies. We left a very detailed (i.e., long) list of our needy, routine-oriented pets' peculiarities and she followed it perfectly. Everything was exactly like we left it. Thanks, Lily for helping us out--we were nervous using Rover for the first time, but you made it so easy.”

“Heather did an amazing job. My dog & cat where well looked after while I was gone for 9 days. Heather kept in touch with me, sent me pictures of my dog & cat texted me on how they are doing. I am very happy with Heather. I have no problems with using her again in the future.”

I have experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages and temperaments, including puppies, kittens and seniors. Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Oakridge walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Oakridge maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Oakridge choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
