About: I have been taking care of dogs my entire life. And the last 4 years I have been taking care of 2 Rottweilers basically on my own. I have trained dogs of all sizes and I have the patience for a misbehaving dog. Plus I love dogs to much not to want to spend time with some and take them on walks. Usually after school I have nothing to do. So filling that time in with a little pet sitting would be beneficial for me. And the extra excessive I get wouldn’t be bad at all. I’m good with the basic necessities like feeding, walking, and interacting with the dog. Making sure they are not getting into something they’re not supposed to. Definitely walks because I’m not to happy about cleaning up a dogs waste.
About: I'm an animal lover and bond easily with all pets. I have worked as a dog bather / groomer at a national chain for all breeds and sizes. My experience also include helping a breeder with puppies and mother care. Recently, I pet sat a sick dog whose family had already booked their vacation. I nursed their dog back to health with boiled chicken, nutritional supplements, and gentle comforting. It would be my honor to provide the care your beloved pet(s) need while you're unable to be there. My services includes playing, walking, petting, feeding, grooming and talking to large or small dogs - all cats, any birds! Of course, cleaning, administering medications, and consoling them, will be done with care. Available for extra tasks, such as taking your pet to the veterinarian or groomer. Congratulations on taking the necessary steps to ensure your pet is flourishing. Hope to meet you and your pet soon! I am a new retiree and work part-time for the days and hours I select. I am flexible, and can set my schedule around your pets needs I can come to your home with your specific instructions for maintaining the pets routine and crating requirements. I have reliable transportation for any travel requests.

About: Big Star Pet Care was started after my wife and I’s beloved senior dog of 10 years passed. I referred to him as my “Big Star” and through caring for others’ pets shortly after his loss, I found comfort and companionship. That’s why we give everyone our Big Star Promise— to treat your animals like they are their own Big Star. After all, they are your Biggest Star and deserve to be treated as such even when you are away! I've taken care of many animals from: cats and dogs to ferrets, rats, snakes, geckos, birds, hamsters and most recently- toads. This makes my experience in animal care varied and diverse. I have experience with all sizes of pet and breed, as well as many different temperaments. We strive to follow instructions left by the pet owner and always send plenty of photos and updates. I am comfortable giving baths and can administer oral medication if needed. Thank you for considering Big Star Pet Services, I look forward to meeting you and your best friend(s). Gabrielle works full time but my only sources of employment are Rover and a M-F 3 hour/day babysitting gig from 1-4pm, so I am home plenty to provide attention, care, exercise and enrichment. For times I have to be away from the home, I have pet cams installed with notifications for movement, barking, etc. and can speak to pets through the cam. I try to be flexible and accept most bookings, including emergency last minute bookings. I offer drop ins, walking, overnight house sitting and boarding at my home. However, I do not accept more than one family at my home at one time in order to ensure your pet(s) receive the utmost care and attention while you are away. I live in a large townhouse with a fully fenced backyard, my wife who happily assists with pet care and keeping a 2nd set of eyes on your furry friends and a second set of hands to pet, 3 cats who keep mostly to themselves but may befriend gentler dogs and a 5 month old puppy who is generally well behaved and in training. I can create separated spaces if necessary, while still ensuring your furry friend gets the utmost care and attention as well as a space comfortable to them. I am dog and cat CPR/First Aid certified through the American Red Cross.
“I was so worried using Rover especially with a big dog finding someone who will continue to walk him has been hard and they were amazing. Maru absolutely loves Carole & Scott.”

About: Hi, I’m Maria! I’ve always been an animal lover and treat every pet like they’re my own. I have two cats myself (who I’m totally obsessed with), so I understand how important it is to leave your pets in good hands. Whether I’m going for a walk with your pup or keeping your cat company while you’re away, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and cared for. I pay attention to the little things—every pet has their own personality, and I love getting to know what makes them feel comfortable and happy. Caring for cats is a daily routine for me, as I’m the proud owner of two feline companions. I delight in pampering them with treats and expressing my affection through play whenever there are toys at hand. I have two cats of my own who love being in my company, and I’ve frequently cared for my friends’ pets when they’re away. They affectionately refer to me as their pets’ honorary aunt.

About: Hello! With a decade of experience under my belt, I've been entrusted with the care of various furry, feathered, and scaly friends, ranging from cats and dogs to hamsters, birds, and even snakes. Each one receives the utmost love and attention, ensuring they feel cherished in their owner's absence. Originally from South Florida, I've recently made Jacksonville my home sweet home. I have 3 cats and 2 dogs. My 10 year involvement in fostering and rescuing cats has equipped me with invaluable skills, including trapping for Trap, Neuter, and Release efforts to aid our community's feline friends. ✨ I work a few part-time hours on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, but I always make sure your pet is cared for before I leave and return right after work for a potty break. I also don’t charge per pet, making care more affordable for multi-pet households. I would love to have the opportunity to care for your furry friends. Having navigated the challenges of finding the perfect caregiver for my own pets, I understand the importance of trust, responsibility, and genuine care. It's a badge of honor for me to be recognized as such.I'm eagerly looking forward to the opportunity to meet you and your beloved pets soon! I currently work part-time on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, but I can make sure your pet goes outside before I leave and again as soon as I return home. On weekends and days off, I have open availability and can fully dedicate my time and attention to caring for your furry companion. I make it a priority to spend quality time with your pet in your home and avoid leaving them alone for extended periods. I may need to step away briefly to go home to shower, change, eat, and let my own dogs out, but I always return within a reasonable amount of time. I will follow all of your instructions to a T no matter how big or small. I would love to meet ahead of time to go over any details that you would like me to do or special instructions to ensure your pet's safety and a peaceful stay of mind while you are gone.

About: Hi there! My name is Kate and my husband's name is Josh. We have both been pet owners our entire lives and absolutely love caring for other pets as well as our own 3 (G + Sadie + Toby — Chihuahua Mix + Rat Terrier + Jack Russel Terrier). We own a home in Jacksonville just off 295 on the west side with a large fenced-in backyard and quiet neighborhood. So lots of walking, running around and play time if you were to have your pet stay here with us and our 3 pups! Our babies are typically social but at the very least tolerant of other dogs as long as the dog is not too hyper or trying to mess with them. My husband and I both work from home so your baby(s) will get non stop attention. We only board small to medium size dogs (less than 30 pounds, some exceptions - feel free to ask). Your dog(s) must get along with other dogs or at least tolerate them. All dogs are separated at feeding times. We are used to serving regular dry, wet, mixtures, raw foods, and administering medications including injectables. With our flexible schedule, we will have plenty of time to walk, play and/or love your pet(s). Our home is extremely safe and doors are always locked (even when we are home). Our neighbors are all extremely nice. Our dogs typically lay on the couch, in their dog beds in our office or on our bed. All get lots of love, pets and treats every day 🙂
