About: I have taken care of dogs and cats before I reached the age of double digits. Bruno was the first cat my family ever got, he was found in the rafters of our garage, he was so small he had to be nursed from a bottle. He won sweetest cat at the local library, and the next year we found Gus in our bushes on me and my twin brothers 6th birthday. We slyly convinced our mom he was a gift from God and we got to keep him! A couple years later, we dropped into the humane society and fell in love with a grey kitten, and of course, my brother and I pulled out our puppy dog eyes, and Junie B Fox Fire came home with us. It was a full house, three cats, two kids, and one mom. Eventually, it was time to convince my mom to get a dog. We ended up falling in love with a golden doodle and we named her Paisley. And finally, my brother and I felt satisfied with our Animal House. Our animals all lived long happy lives. Our three cats all passed away at 20, and Paisley at 16. They were always treated like family. Those 20 so years did not come without their scares. We had a few times the vet told us there was practically no hope, but Im convinced the love our family had for our animals bent reality, and every time, they were okay. Sometimes surgery was needed, other times just hope. But I am proud of the way I was raised to treat animals, and I thank my mom for that. In my 20s I moved in with my now ex fiance, and we got a dog together. An australian shepherd (I will adopt next time!), she was a puppy. We trained her, loved her, and I was her mom. Sprinkled through the years other cats entered our orbit as we took in family cats whose owner had passed. We became another animal house! unfortunately those cats were older so we got them on their ladder parts of life, and so when our apartment had no more cats, we decided it was time for a kitten! Together we raised our kitten Henry, and Aussie Skylo. I was their mom for about 7 years until we broke up, and tragically my ex stole them, and ran away with his mistress. There are no words for the black hole that left behind. It was right after the break up my family simultaneously lost three of our cats and our dog. Yes they lived a long life, but for the first time ever, I had NO animals in my care. I didn't know how empty that could feel! I don't want to make this a sob story, but I want to explain why you are just seeing a kitten in my photos. I moved to FL after the break up, and that is where I found Roary my now cat, who was 5 weeks old dodging cars in the middle of the busiest intersection in Fort Lauderdale. I was the only one on the ground to pick her up, I wasnt ready for a cat, but life did its life thing, and I am so blessed to have her by my side now. I am back in Florida, and ready for Rover! I am nurturing, thoughtful, attentive, and not to pat myself on the back.. but I do think I speak fluent animal. I would be so grateful for the opportunity to watch your beloved pet! I am currently free as a bird here in Florida. My availability is adaptable as I can fully commit to my time here on Rover! Safety always comes first. In your home, I follow your routine exactly; feeding, meds, and house rules. On walks I double check leashes, hold a tight grip, stay alert to traffic and other dogs, and never let your pet off leash. I'll send photo updates every visit so you always know your animal is safe and happy.

“Martha is amazing! Wiggles is like velcro to here mama and she happily went with Martha and got excited when I told her Martha was coming. She was also gracious in accepting me as a client when I had covid, very kind and brave. I highly recommend Martha for walks or boarding. Thanks Martha!”

“Rebecca is a star. My little ones love her. Atila gets lots of pets, a pee break and a walk. Nori always pees and poops, enjoys the walk and showers Rebecca with kisses.”

“Regina is a very experienced dog walker/pet sitter. Her professionalism is apparent from her first visit. She is not someone who walks dogs to make a few bucks...this is a business she takes very seriously. My dog very much enjoys her daily visits and is very excited when Regina arrives. She makes us aware of any concerns she may have with my dogs heath or if there is any concerns at my house during the visit, which gives me peace of mind. I recommend Regina to anyone looking for a professional and reliable caregiver for their pet.”

About: Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up in a large family, my love of animals began when I was young. My sisters and I rescued all kinds of animals but always had dogs as pets that were cherished. While raising my own family, a dog was always a a much loved member of our home. I most recently lost my sweet girl (black lab) after 15 years and still have much love to share. While walking my lab throughout my neighborhood for 15 years, I have gotten to know local dogs and their owners. I can honestly say, I have never met a dog I didn't like. Dogs bring joy into your life and providing them with the extra attention they deserve is just the best. They make life's journey richer in every way. I am recently retired so I have more flexible time to provide loving care. I am active and enjoy walking, or providing playtime for your pet. I have an outdoor patio and large grass area. Having always had dogs in my home, my home is safe, comfortable and welcoming to all pets. I am happy to provide any special needs or care requested by pet owners. “I can’t say enough about how amazing Athena and Richi are in caring for my baby, Panda. This is my first time leaving town since I lost my 11-year-old bulldog, and I’ve been so nervous, but Athena and Richi have truly put my mind at ease. They’ve been so thoughtful with check-ins, pictures, and videos of Panda having a blast at the dog park—it’s clear they treat him like their own. The professionalism they bring to their care is top-notch, and I feel so comfortable knowing they’re there. What’s even better is that these are not just experiences I’m having while away; they’ve been just as wonderful during our weekly sessions with Panda as well. On top of that, they’ve even been kind enough to bring in packages for me! I’m so grateful for how accommodating and dependable they’ve been, and I genuinely appreciate everything they’ve done. Thank you, Athena and Richi—you’ve made this experience so much easier, and Panda loves his time with you!”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover and experienced pet owner. I currently have two cats that I’ve cared for for the past 7 years, and I’ve also owned two dogs, giving me experience with both feline and canine care. Through caring for my own pets, I’ve become familiar with feeding schedules, providing fresh water, cleaning litter boxes, walks, playtime, administering basic care, and recognizing when a pet may need extra attention. In addition to caring for my own pets, I’ve watched friends’ cats on multiple occasions while they were away. I understand that every cat has a unique personality—some love attention and playtime, while others prefer a calm and quiet environment. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine and preferences so they can feel as comfortable as possible while you’re away. As a pet sitter, I strive to be reliable, patient, and attentive. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pets, and I will care for them as if they were my own. Whether your pet needs lots of play and interaction or simply a consistent routine and companionship, I’m committed to providing loving and dependable care. I look forward to meeting you and your pets and helping give you peace of mind while you’re away! 🐾 Pet care is already a regular part of my daily routine. I care for my two cats every day by feeding them, refreshing their water, cleaning their litter boxes, and spending time playing and interacting with them. Having pets for many years has taught me the importance of consistency, patience, and paying attention to their individual needs and behaviors. As a college student, I’m organized and used to managing a schedule, which allows me to be dependable when it comes to pet care responsibilities. Caring for animals is something I genuinely enjoy, and I make time for it every day. Whether it’s providing companionship, sticking to a feeding schedule, or making sure a pet feels safe and comfortable while their owner is away, I take those responsibilities seriously. I provide pet care by following each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. In a client’s home, I make sure pets are fed on schedule, have fresh water, receive plenty of attention and playtime, and have a clean environment. For cats, this includes litter box cleaning and enrichment through play and interaction. For dogs, this includes walks, exercise, and companionship based on their needs. I also pay close attention to each pet’s behavior and comfort level, respecting their personality and giving them space when needed. My goal is to help pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to have someone reliable caring for your pets, and I treat every animal as if they were my own.

“Melissa was great and I will definitely book with her again! She loves animals and obviously feels very comfortable around any breed. She took my two mixed breed dogs (one is a pit mix) and gave them lots of TLC on an afternoon walk. She texted me when she arrived and left, as well as sent photos and gave me an update of their activities. My one dog is slow to warm up to new people and she just took her time and waited for him to come around, which he did.”
