About: I’ve worked with dogs, cats, horses and reptiles! I have a passion for animals, and am always looking forward to meeting a new furry friend. My mom and I worked with our local shelter to foster cats and rescued them in our area, we saved over twenty cats! I’m a nursing student but have a flexible schedule! My schedule changes weekly so please feel free to reach out with preferred times :) I love to go on long walks and spend quality time with animals. Unfortunately my apartment has a no pet policy, but I would love to pet sit at a clients home! I can provide walks, clean litter boxes, play with the animals, feed them, bathe and groom them, etc.
About: I’m an incoming veterinary student and pet owner. I’ve grown up taking care of my cat and dog and love spending my time with animals. I have worked as a veterinary assistant for the past 3 years. Daily dog walks are an important part of my routine and I have a flexible schedule. I love meeting new people and animals on the island! I have experience with dogs of all sizes and am an active person. I also keep my dog leashed and am amenable to dog’s specific needs.
About: Hi! I am a senior at Barnard with a light semester of workload, looking to make some extra cash. I have taken care of dogs, cats, bunnies, and chickens my whole life (big pet family). I have dog-walked/cat sat for multiple different clients, and also am more than willing to just hang with a pet if they have anxiety! I normally feed twice a day and play with for a total of 1 1/2 to 2 hours, either intermittently or all at once in one sitting. I can feed as many times a day as needed and walk/play with as much as needed. Will have a pretty flexible schedule this semester.
“This is the first time I’ve used Rover and I couldn’t be more pleased with Ashley E., who recently cared for our 2 male doggies, while we threw a wedding for our daughter. We have a 6 yr old Belgian Shepherd and a 13 yr old Westie. Ashley was wonderful with each of them giving equal love and attention according to their energy and needs level and all the while keeping me calm by sending texts and photos each time she visited. When she came to meet our dogs, our Belgian actually kissed her, which he rarely does with us! Our Westie requires much medication which she made sure to clearly understand and administer, that was one of my biggest worries about hiring a pet sitter and she did it with ease. Most impressive to me was the morning of the wedding my husband was alone to get ready and needed help with his bowtie, cufflinks and button covers of his shirt. Ashley rescued all of us by helping him, THANK YOU!!! That was above and beyond the call of duty, ha ha. I will definitely be using Rover again and definitely Ashley E!”

About: Animals have always been my passion. I stopped eating meat when I was six years old after realizing that the chickens on the farm were the same animals used for chicken nuggets. Since then, caring for animals has been a core part of who I am. For the past four years, I’ve worked part-time at a local veterinary office as a kennel attendant, caring for boarded dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, breeds, and temperaments. From shy seniors to chaotic zoomie goblins, I genuinely love them all. In addition to my veterinary experience, I run my own pet sitting business, Vineyard Pet Pals, and have built a wonderful base of loyal clients across Martha’s Vineyard. Over the years, I’ve cared for hundreds of animals, including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, chickens, and reptiles such as bearded dragons. I specialize in: • Puppies and young dogs who are energetic, playful, and thrive with companionship and socialization • Senior pets and hospice care • Shy or anxious animals • Socializing dogs who are nervous around other dogs • Medication administration, including pills, liquids, topical medications, and subcutaneous fluids • Pets with complex medical needs I’m very comfortable maintaining routines, monitoring health issues, and making sure every animal feels safe, loved, and comfortable. I’m highly attentive to subtle changes in behavior, appetite, energy level, mobility, breathing, and overall demeanor, and I take pride in noticing early signs that a pet may be uncomfortable, stressed, or not feeling well. Your pets are never “just animals” to me — they are family, and I care for them exactly as I would my own. 🏡 Boarding in My Home I provide boarding in a safe, loving home environment with: • A fully fenced, escape-proof yard • A dog door for small to medium-sized dogs to have free access to the yard whenever they’d like • Plenty of playtime, cuddles, and supervision • Friendly resident dogs for companionship and socialization While dogs of all sizes are welcome, I especially enjoy caring for small and medium-sized dogs. My home is a great fit for playful, active dogs who enjoy having playmates and staying engaged throughout the day, as well as dogs with more relaxed personalities and lower-energy needs. For everyone’s safety, I cannot board dogs with true aggression toward other animals or a strong prey drive, as I have several small pets at home and frequently care for other clients’ pets in addition to my own. 🛏️ House Sitting Note For house-sitting bookings, I only accept requests where my senior dog, Pippi, can accompany me. She is calm, gentle, and sleeps most of the day, and she simply needs to stay with me during overnight visits. I have limited availability for house-sitting, so advance notice is greatly appreciated (ideally one month or more). 💚 Final Note My life revolves around animals, and I truly spend more time with pets than people — exactly how I like it. I take enormous pride in providing attentive, compassionate, and knowledgeable care, and I strive to make every pet feel safe, understood, and deeply loved. I have extensive references and reviews from both Rover and my private clients, and I treat every animal in my care as if they were my own. My entire life is based around animals, as I have my own pets and I’m a full-time pet sitter. I truly spend more time with pets than people, and I enjoy it. I take great pride in caring for pets, whether in my own home or yours. I go above and beyond to ensure your animals feel safe, loved, and comfortable, providing them with personalized attention and care. From maintaining their routines to offering plenty of playtime and cuddles, I make sure their environment is stress-free and enjoyable. Whether it's administering medications or ensuring they have all the comforts they need, I treat each pet as if they were my own, always striving to exceed expectations! **I do not board dogs who are aggressive with other dogs or cats**
About: I love dogs and grew up with them! I have 2+ years doing long term dog sitting for the same family. I watched them for around 20 days each month. I loved their dogs like my own! Your dogs will be safe and happy with me. They are my top priority. I make sure they get exercise and lots of love. I always send picture and updates. Most recently I lived with my sister who also has a young pitbull so I am with dogs every day. I have experience administering medication and monitoring health issues. I have experience with puppies and senior dogs. I have even watched dogs abroad. I have experience with multiple breeds and so many amazing dogs. I genuinely just love watching dogs. I’m interested in dog walking and sitting. Can also do cats :) I work seasonal jobs so move around. For the last 3 years I was in steamboat springs, Colorado and watched 2 labs on a regular basis. I worked a 9-5 a would go home and feed, walk, and play with the dogs! I take them to the dog park and on hikes. Dogs fit into my routine very easily. Your dogs will get walks, play, get cuddles, etc. I am also used to working around specific quarks. For example, dogs who eat rocks may require a face mask for walks, dogs with sensitive stomachs, etc. I set alarms for their meals and keep a consistent walk/play routine. I feel responsible for their safety too, so if they play with dogs who are too rough, I will move along. Their happiness and comfort is literally my job!

About: Hi! I’m a washashore with a lifetime of dog experience. I specialize in large dogs but still love my lil barkers. I own 2 floofs Briar (the Newf) and Chloe (the midget newf) I have some grooming experience and would certainly throw in a bath if need be. We love walks, videos of our adventures (so we can send them to non furry family), and lots of brushing and belly rubs. I will do off leash walks in safe environments and will do leash walks in town to socialize and get an occasional “frosty paw.” I am still on my journey to be a full time dog groomer and my biggest concern is for the animal to be happy and comfortable. I currently work part time for my husband’s tour business so this keeps me busy when I am not selling tour tickets and admin work I have a fenced in yard so if the dog park seems a little too busy or your pup jest needs to burn some energy they have a full acre to do so.
About: I have a senior cat with a serious digestive and heart condition, so I’m certainly used to giving pets their proper medications, feeding at specific times, or just generally giving them the love and attention they need! I grew up with dogs, and have pet sat for friends, family and clients for years. I feel more than comfortable feeding, walking or staying with pups of any breed or size. I’ve been a sitter on Trusted Housesitters for years and have been lucky enough to let sit as far away as Berlin! I’d love the opportunity to take great care of your pets while you’re away! I have a super flexible schedule with work and can generally accommodate most days/times. I live on Martha’s Vineyard and can travel most anywhere on island to sit. My fiancé and I are more than happy to accommodate any and all let needs. With our senior cat experience, and lots of daily and overnight sitting experience, we always treat animals with kindness, patience and respect. We will always ensure animals feel comfortable in our care, and we update owners on their pets as much as possible!

About: I have had cats and dogs my whole life, At present, I have a senior mixed breed dog named Ozzie whom we adopted from the local shelter 13 years ago. About: I’ve worked with animals my entire life and have had a lot of experience with all sorts of dogs (especially the big pups) I’m extremely patient & don’t mind the longer walks for the more energetic guys! I’m currently a student at PC so my availability varies/is flexible, however I’m almost always around after 4:30 on weekdays or in the mornings (with an exception of Mondays and Thursdays). Typically I’m free all day on weekends. Unfortunately I cannot board pets at my home, but I am no stranger to pet sitting and will make sure your pet is well taken care of.
About: ***AVAILABLE ON MARTHAS VINEYARD ONLY*** - Intermittently on Nantucket but dates of availability only reflect that of MV. Please inquire with a message for Nantucket :) My experience with animals began as a child both with family pets and horseback riding. Being on the farm at such a young age instilled in me a love for animals that has only grown over the years. It also allowed me a front row seat to better understanding animals and their individual behaviors. Throughout the years, I have become proficient in medication administration and personalized feedings scheduled and requirements. I have also been privileged to be around animals of all kinds and ages and I look forward to providing your young and senior pets with the extra love and attention they require and deserve. In my day to day life I am a licensed and trained paramedic which has helped me better harness the patience and understanding often required when helping animals and their families. For those of you that have pets with boundless energy, I go for a minimum 5 mile walk daily that could only be made better by the accompaniment of your four legged family member. I look forward to meeting you and your perfect pets! I currently work part time as a paramedic which allows for a lot of freedom and flexibility in my schedule to help you and your pet. As I will be watching your pet in the comfort of your home- I will always want to know what helps them adjust to change best in your absence. How can I make them, and you, feel more comfortable? What toys do they love? What types of check ins work best for you and what information do you prefer to be kept up to date on? Does your pet have any health history or allergies? What ever you think will make this experience best for you and your pet is information I would love to be made aware of!
