My own little crew includes two senior cats (14 and 17) and a wonderfully patient yellow lab who's basically a gentleman and a scholar. About: Hi, I'm Miki! I've had dogs my whole life, and adopted one of my very own (Scout) about 4 years ago! With several years of personal and professional experience, I'm confident I can provide a happy and safe space for your pet. :) As a dog owner, I know how hard it can be to find someone you trust with your pet, and my goal is to give my client's peace of mind knowing that their babies are being cared for just as I would my own dog! At the moment, I only host one dog at a time to make sure they get my full attention (or two from the same household). I have a ton of experience and knowledge with dogs, but particularly anxious/reactive dogs and am always happy to accommodate any special needs/requests. I work from home a few days a week and have an open weekend schedule, so Scout and I would love having another friend around to keep us company! We typically go on a minimum of 3 walks a day (morning, afternoon and night) for anywhere from 20 minutes- 1+ hours. Between walks, I have plenty of toys and mentally stimulating gadgets that Scout would be happy to share. :) While I don't have a yard, my neighborhood is the perfect dog-friendly spot with lots of trails, streams and parks! If your dog is hanging with us, you can expect an itinerary full of very dog centered activities (as usual) haha. I'm experienced working with low and high energy dogs and more than happy to follow your dogs typical schedule- whatever that may be! To maintain safe and calm environment for all pets, I do require that dogs are crate trained and feel comfortable being crated if I need to leave the house for a short time.

There's a large unfenced back yard, quick access to the river, and nature walks on Belle Isle. I provide a clean and well thermoregulated house for the hot summer months, with a room dedicated just for the pets, though not restricting them to the room.

About: I have always had pets growing up from dogs of different sizes to bunnies and bird. Recently I have been taking care of my dog Dutch. He suffered from seizures all his life, so I have experience in bigger dogs and one with health issues. I have full availability. It may change due possibly picking up a part time job as I am preparing for a year long college course. Putting my dog through behavioral courses has helped me with heel training. So walking dogs of any size won't be an issue for me. Especially with it being so hot recently making sure the asphalt isn't too hot and not keeping dogs out for too long.
